I really love the entire line of Fekkai's shea butter products. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews on here! Maybe it works better for straight hairstyles?
I have very long, coarse, super damaged hair and this stuff makes it so much softer and sleeker. I still flat iron my hair after, but it's soft and nice feeling with this line (compared to drugstore products which make my hair feel gross and crunchy even after the flat iron)

I was feeling grossed out by a color care shampoo that left my hair smelling bad. This is light enough to not weigh my hair down. I might need a heavier moisturizer but this seems good for every day as it does not break out my sensitive scalp.

As the gal who has broken the bank in trying every hair product on earth, I was very surprised at how well this conditioner worked at moisturizing my coarse curls. BUT it certainly was no miracle worker- I got softness but also ended up with absolutely no curl definition because it added a bit of frizz. To be fair It's pretty rare when I don't have to slather on a leave in or another concoction or 2 after showering and so it wasn't a huge shocker I had to do so after trying out a new product. The shock part came in to play here because in adding other control products after using a $5-$12 product vs this $23 one, it negated any benefits this conditioner provided. Total bummer.
Pros: Smells freakin' delish. Probably works amazingly for people with thin, straight to wavy damaged hair. Cons: Price is outragious considering how inexpensive Shea butter actually is, and this doesn't do justice for coarse and curlyheads as promised; imo shouldn't be marketed at us either bc you will be doing the “flyaway shuffle”. Other than the above gripes, the biggest issue I have with this product are the other ingredients; it's a looong list, most of which just seem unnecessary and certainly don't benefit the hair (why is fragrance so high on the list? I'd like to know if its artificial or not). And while I give major props for the addition of Silk, Almond and Wheat protein, the quantities are pretty low, so I don't think they are a real benefit. This product falls into my overhyped product drawer and truthfully I will prob only bring it out again if I am running out of conditioner.
So if your independently wealthy by all means, use and purchase away. Otherwise, get yourself some pure organic Shea Butter, melt it and treat your hair, then wash it out and you will get the exact same results, trust me.

Not really impressed with this conditioner. Do not notice it really doing anything at all for me- no added moisture, conditioning or detangling of my hair. Ridiculously pricey also. Has a strong scent that does not linger. Am regretting this purchase and really wish I could return it.

I got a sample of this and the matching shampoo. I really felt I would not like them because there has been only one FF item I have liked. This changed my mind. This conditioner has a great scent and even with my hair dry I can still smell the wonderful scent. I was so impressed with how quickly this made my hair like silk. It was so smooth and soft. I was really impressed when it came time to style my hair. I was able to use just a little bit of product and my hair is so smooth, soft, and no frizz. I am so impressed with this and will now be purchasing it. I just wish it was not so expensive. Still a worthwhile product.

I hate to say it, but I really wanted to be stunned by this line. It was just a let down. Beautiful packaging, smooth product. But my hair was no different than the times I've used Suave. Don't waste your money, sorry.

I'm underwhelmed. Smells nice, but doesn't even take the tangles out of my hair.

I bought this weeks ago and have used up about 1/4 of it so far. I wasn't sure if the tangles were due to this conditioner or because of other factors but I see some other reviewers noticed the same result. That's too bad - I'd thought the shea would be moisturizing. The texture is nice and thick and the tube is made of a soft plastic (so you can squeeze out the last bits) and has a flip cap at the bottom (which I prefer). I'm going to try mixing this with other conditioners to use it up but won't repurchase.

This is probably the second worst conditioner I've ever tried. The worst being biosilk. It feels really thick and creamy, but it did absolutely nothing to moisturize my hair. Also it made my hair extremely difficult to detangle or even run a comb through.

I stumbled onto this site because I am trying to find out when the formula on this conditioner changed. I have sensitive skin, but I have never had an issue with shampoos or conditioners. I developed a bad rash on my neck and it wasn't until I was traveling and stopped using this product that it cleared up. When I got home, I got two new red, itchy patches on my neck again within 24hrs.I have been using it on/off since at least 2005 and was always happy - Anyone have any ideas what might have changed? Now I am worried about trying a new product!

This is one of the best smelling products I've ever used. It smell so clean and yummy it's addicting. That said I have to say I was a bit dissapointed by the proformance. It didn't moisturize like I expected. It also weighed my hair down. I still love this brand but I would not use this particular combo again

I reallyyy wanted to love this conditioner. I have heard so many great things about Fekkai products but since I usually buy my hair products at my salon and they don't sell them I had never tried them before. I purposely went out of my way to buy this Fekkai s&c after reading the reviews. I always use a moisturizing conditioner since I have long, highlighted blonde hair that can tangle fairly easily so I thought this would be perfect. Well, while the shampoo was absolutely amazing (separate review for that) this conditioner was horrible. Now to be fair, I have only used it once and I will try it again, and if I get different results I will edit, but for now I am seriously disappointed. My hair was a coarse, dry, tangled mess. I had just had a trim but you would never have known it by looking at my hair. My ends felt and looked like they were fried. After straightening my hair, this went away slightly but they still felt dry and rough. I couldn't believe the results coming from a moisturizing conditioner. I have never had this problem with all of the dozens of other moisturizing conditioners I've tried before. In fact, I just washed my hair today with the Fekkai Shea Butter shampoo and instead of using the conditioner, tried using some leftover TRESemme Smooth & Silky conditioner with it and had much, much better results. I never ever return anything, much less beauty products, but I may actually try to return this. So disappointed :(

This was an impulse purchase for me from my local drugstore (they have a little section now of Fekkai, Bumble, etc. that always catches my attention). Let me first say this is not a drugstore item (duh, if you hadn't noticed from the price), but can be found there sometimes. I'm a sucker for a pricey hair product, and my hairdresser had told me my hair was a bit dry during my last appointment, so I figured, why not try this (and, did I mention that I'm a sucker for a pricey hair product)? So I have to say that I'm impressed. I have to use very little to condition my hair (few inches past shoulders), and I'm impressed with the results. It conditions, detangles, and doesn't leave me looking like a greaseball the next day (all pluses to me). I'm not super crazy about the scent (it's okay, not bad), it's sort of fresh meets that estee lauder lipstick smell (my mom used to use estee lauder lipstick and I absolutely hated the smell and texture of those - ewww, so this might be a sense memory relation for me). Overall, I'm impressed and happy that an impulse purchase turned out okay for me!!

I used this along with the Shea Butter shampoo and love them both.
My first time using it, I thought the conditoner was a little thin and runny.(I love rich dense conditioners). However, the chemists at Frederic Fekkai are geniuses for being able to make a conditoner that moistures so well but still leaves hair feeling bouncy and clean. Even on the days where I am lazy and let my hair air dry, it is still full of body and is frizz free.
The bad part is the price. It is damn expensive. If I could afford it I would frequently repurchase but may have to settle for special purchaces.

Found this at a grocery store (?) in California. Maybe that's why I was less than impressed. It was extremely underwhelming, did nothing to moisturize my hair or smooth down frizzies. Used both s/c. Too expensive for 0 results.

I had really high hopes for this conditioner.
My hair is dry and I wear it below my shoulders.
My dry hair looked dirty the next day, sometimes even later in the day on the same day of use.
Yes, I did rinse enough so that is not it.
Tried it several times and had to give up on it.
The search continues!

I agree with a reviewer below. This, along with the matching shampoo, dried out, weakened and weighed my hair down. You would think that if it weighs your hair down, that means that it's very moisturizing. NOT. I had to do a protein treatment after, to get some strength back in my weakened, sad hair. Trying to figure out a way to get this back to Ulta, as I lost my receipt.

I have dry, course and curly hair that is usually never soft. I have been using this along with the shampoo and it works miracles, the only thing that makes my hair soft. It's nice and thick and a little goes a long way so the bottle lasts me over two months using it 6 days a week. The price is a little high but worth it since it works and lasts for so long.

UPDATE: Bummer. I've developed a bad allergic reaction to this product. I've proven it by alternating with another balm conditioner and whenever I use the Fekai, I get an annoying itchy scalp. So disappointing because it worked very well on my hair. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have coarse, curly, greying hair that tends to be dry. The dryness is further aggravated by highlights. This stuff works very well on my hair along with the shea butter shampoo. I shampoo and condition and let my hair air dry and I have lovely, soft waves and curls with no further effort. Both products are very pricy ($23 American each) but if something really works, I'm willing to part with the $$$s. I can see where these products would not work at all well for you if you have fine, thin hair. They would weigh it down. I also really like the tube packaging as I can throw them in a gym bag. Also, you need very little product for this to work.

I can't believe there are such bad reviews for this product. I have pretty dry hair but when I started using this Fekkai conditioner, it makes such a different. My hair is shiny, silky, and smells good. It also makes it much more manageable.
