I used to use this years ago faithfully but strayed. Lately my skin was more sensitized (from a stupid/what-was-i-thinking routine over the winter) and i had this parade of cleansers i was "auditioning" for my sensitive skin. One day in utter "I give up" desperation i picked up the Olay at the grocery store. It's been the clear winner against others from Garden of Wisdom, Simple, L'Oreal, Yes to Cucumbers, Garnier, etc (from cheap to pricey and natural to otherwise). Olay wins! Nothing leaves my sensitive skin more clean, fresh, moist and happy. After all these years i'm back with Olay. There's a good reason why it's a Skincare board favorite!

This product claims that it cleanse twice as much as a normal cleanser without over drying the skin. After using it several times, I have to say it doesn't over dries the skin. However, it doesn't cleanse off the oil on my face very well. I tested it out with a blotting paper, and still find a great amount of oil still in my pores. I have combination skin that quiet sensitive, therefore was hoping this product would help as my previous cleanser is too drying. But its claim is more larger then what it could do. It may be a good cleanser if your skin is not too oily and doesn't have large pores. However, from my experience, it doesn't cleanse very well for those with oily skin.

This started out fine on my skin (except for the weird residue it leaves) then turned me red and broke me out. My skin was at the same time horribly dry and spilling oil everywhere and I had whiteheads all over my face. If I had continued using this, my skin would have been ruined for sure. I get this reaction from all the Olay products that I've tried. Never again.

I bought this bcoz it's from Olay ( the brand i adore ) and I needed a everyday Gentle cleanser...
Pros;
1 .. It is very gentle it didn't sting my eyes at all... Sometimes when i'm not using the eye make up remover, i use it all over the face including eyes , It does remove my eye makeup without stinging.. In fact I don't even feel the cleanser

2. No fragrance .Obviously it is for Sensitive skin

3.Feels Clean even though it's gentle.. I use it everyday

4.pH balanced ..so i don't need a toner

cons

1. I 've to pour like a size of the quarter and mix with a little water to get any foams ... Not Foamy

2. Not really hydrating ...Even though it's got aloe in it ,my face feels dry .( Apparently i've dry skin. ) I don't care about it much bcoz i put on my moisturizer anyway , after washing my face.

This is by far the best cleanser I have used - doesn't break out my blackhead-prone skin and removes all oil and makeup effectively - as long as you cleanse twice which I ALWAYS do in the evening, then once in the morning. This is also perfect for the mild rocacea around my nose.
Did try swtiching to Garnier Pure Deep Clean Cream Wash but it actually made my blackheads worse - went back to this and problem cleared up!

Love this cleanser! Its is so gentle yet still does a great job at cleansing. I prefer to use this in the morning as I wear makeup & prefer something more heavy duty at night. Very easy to use, love the gentle pearl foam, no frangrance, love how it is PH, no parabens etc. Almost like a cetaphil, only better. On my 2nd bottle now and would definately repurchase.

My go-to face wash! Doesn't dry out my dry, sensitive skin, and removes most of my makeup better than other similar cleansers. Packaging makes it easy to use all of the product up without a struggle. I like that it foams up a bit but not too much.

no no no. i find the only thing that breaks me out is a bad cleanser. after three uses this gave me a terrible terrible breakout. I even got pimples on my cheeks which never happens. I've been trying to find a drugstore cleanser because i feel a little foolish spending as much as I do on skincare. forget it. I'm going back to my HG cleanser which I find heals and prevents breakouts and is non-drying--Dr Andrew Weil for Origins Plantidote Cleanser.

This is a fairly thorough, non-drying cleanser. Works really well and causes no redness or irritation, which is great for my sensitive-ish skin. It's not stellar at removing all traces of Euro sunscreen with one wash, but two does the trick. The tube is a bit annoying; it's hard to squeeze out the product—especially in the winter when the ambient temperature in my bathroom before the heat kicks on is about 52 degrees. But all in all, I really love this cleanser. And it's so CHEAP!

I was having a really rough time with my acne the past couple of years. I was moving from one product to the next with varying mixtures of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide in cleansers, scrubs and spot treatments. Nothing ever seemed to work. I figured to just stop everything and start over with some very gentle face washes so I decided to pick up this one.

After about 4 months of use, my skin finally calmed down. This, along with my Aveeno scrub, really saved me. No more painful cysts, not so red anymore, my blemishes are no longer as noticeable, and this doesn't leave my skin oily or dry. Just enough. I haven't even used a topical treatment for months. Makes makeup application so much more of a wonderful experience. Foundation is no longer to help cover imperfections, but to enhance what I already have going. So for people whose skin may be rebelling, try a gentle face wash like this one and see if it helps.

I would definitely recommend this product especially for those who are looking for a gentle cleanser. This is your product. Once you fall in love, buy back ups! It's amazing how this thing is always out of stock. I guess people are starting to get the word how good this is =)

HG face wash - I have skin that's acne prone and gets a lot of redness. This stuff is genius. I use it with my Clarisonic Mia at night.

PROs:
not stripping
foams well

Also, it's great for cleaning my makeup brushes.

I first use cold cream and oil to loosen all my makeup then I use this to wash all that away. I find it does a good job, lathers well without drying out my skin. Pretty cheap and effective so I'm sure I'll buy it again.

I really like this cleanser! :) I have pretty dry skin and this one leaves it feeling nice and hydrated after washing, but not too oily. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin either, and gets all my make-up off. I usually use a different eye make up remover to get my waterproof eyeliner/mascara off but if I can't be bothered using something else or have run out etc., this product can also be used for that. You'll just have to rub it (lightly!) over the eyes more. Make sure your eyes are fully closed though cos it stings if it gets in!

I began using this cleanser years ago when my skin became super sensitive to many of my regular products. It is creamy, not super foaming, and most importantly, gets my skin clean while being very gentle. It removes all of my makeup and does not leave my skin stripped. I now use Purpose as my main cleanser, but I keep this on hand for when my skin feels dry. Especially good in the winter months. Love this cleanser and will always have a bottle in my stash.

This is a gentle, cheap, effective cleanser that even removes makeup but isn't drying. It's mild but works well.
