I absolutely love this product. It has such a natural finish. I have never got so many complements on my skin until i started using this. It is the best!

I have this is #0 and it's become a recent staple in my makeup bag. I love that it has both a matte finishing powder and a shimmery powder that I can use to highlight my cheeks after I've applied my usual blush. I don't use the included sponge as I prefer the finish that I get with a brush. The powder is very finely milled, silky and lasts quite well although I have to blot after a few hours as my skin is very oily. The shimmery half of the powder has a very delicate, fine shimmer that is not too obvious and gives me a lovely glowy finish and not in-your-face bling that emphasises my pores. Fortunately I got a back-up of this when Barneys had their 50% off sale when SM was being discontinued. This is definitely one of the better products that I've tried from SM.

I already love stephane marais products and recently got my hand on this and LOVE LOVE it ! Perfection. So finely milled, with a shimmer and matte side, the compact is beautiful, I wear #1 (Im an nc 30-35)!

I absolutely adore this powder as I see others do as well...I actually received it as a gift in a wedding "goody bag" and am now realizing that as I hit the bottom of the pan I can't find it anywhere. Is it true that this is no longer available for purchase? Does anyone have any ideas or information on where I might be able to get my hands on some more? Thank you in advance!

Dang. Why did Stephane Marais have to be pulled?! This is my HG pressed powder. I love that the pan is split into a matte side and a shimmery side. The shimmery side is nice - but over-the-top shimmer but just enough to make you look luminous. Most pressed powders seem to make my face look a bit dull.

The powder is finely milled too and the little sponge applicator that comes with it isn't half bad for touch ups either. One of the few pressed powders not to 'grab' on the drier bits of my face. Sometimes I swirl my MAC #187 brush over the pan and use it to set my foundation as well.

If you can get your hands on this product, it's well worth a try. As for me, I'll be using it sparingly until the horrible day when I 'hit pan' arrives!

I am just coming to the end of my pressed powder after six months of using it every day. I did panic when the pan started to show after a couple of weeks but it lasted for ages after that and didn't break up like lesser powders do. What can I add? I agree this is an excellent powder and I will keep buying this again and again! Just be careful if you buy this or anything else in space NK - have had several problems with them giving me the wrong shade of products I ask for (because you can't pick it off the display yourself - they have to get it out of the stock cupboard)

I'll admit that I was taken by the quirky packaging, and as I was looking for a luminising product, it fit the bill, However, although I'm quite pale, the lightest shade that I got is just not flattering to my skintone. It looks ghostly and actually makes me look worse. I kept perservering, but it's just not worth the money, I'm sorry to say.

The packaging is so beautiful...very hip, not tacky. I purchased #2 Beige which is a very nice yellow/neutral toned beige with a matte/sheer side and a shimmery/sheer side. I would say that this would be for a medium-medium/dark skin tone. I use the O2 creme foundation and this was too dark. I'm going to purchase the #0 Translucent next time. It has a nice texture though, very soft and sheer. I prefer my Christian Dior Diorskin powder foundation, but this would make a lovely touch up powder.

I got this powder to go along with my foundation and at first, I was thinking about returning it because of the cost but I noticed that when I use this powder, my t-zone doesn't get as oily and I don't look too obviously made it. I usually dip my brush on the matte side to do my whole face and then use the shimmery side to highlight my cheeks. The powder is not chalky at all and blends so well into my skin. I use shade 0 and am generally the 2nd or 3rd lightest shade in most ranges. It is a bit expensive but it's lasting pretty well for me so I think this one is a definite keeper =) Plus, the packaging is so unique!

This is an EXCELLENT pressed powder as far as texture goes. Very finely milled, it becomes one with your skin, one cannot notice it on and does a great job evening out your tone. It does not enhance lines too! So it could be HG material except that:
1. It does not offer any color options (there are just two colors: one is very light for me/ one is way too dark)
2. There's berely enough product in there: I've used it like 10 times and I am starting to see the pan!!!!! For the price you pay, this is obsurd!

However if I could find a color to match me, I would repurchase because of its texture. It's sad I have to give such a bad rating for a good product but I cannot help it!

Product Description:Available in 2 textures - pearl and matte, this unique pressed powder also contains light refracting powder technology to ensure it spreads smoothly over the skin, without any build-up or excess. Fabulously packaged with a powder puff, this product can also be used in conjunction with the Loose Powder.

Price: AUD $68

this is something like stila's illuminating pressed powder compact-one side is a matte powder, the other is a shimmery powder. it only comes in two colours. one is a pearl effect, the other a darker shade.

On Me: it is a very fined milled powder that goes on so sheerly. it feels like silk! much better than the loose powder imo since there is a matte powder which helps control my oily t-zone.

only problem is this item is very expensive...as is every item in the stephane marais line!

I have shade #1 . They have only 2 shades to choose. The compact has 2 different powder, one is matte and other is shimmery. I mix them together to have a slighty shimmery look.

I have this in #0 and I adore it! At first I was hesitant about buying another split pan pressed powder... as I hated the Stila Illuminating Powder with the matte/shimmery sides. But being a devoted SM fan, I decided to try it. The texture is just beautiful... SO soft and sheer. It's perfect for touch ups during the day as it never makes my makeup appear cakey. This doesn't add a layer to your foundation at the end of the day, it simply seems to freshen it up. I do generally just use a powder puff, and I never worry too much about taking product from one particular side of the compact... even the shimmery side looks perfectly natural on, so a blend is fine. Sometimes I will use a lil of the shimmery side with a soft brush (Stila #8) to dust under my eye area in the morning. The very subtle sheen is beautiful. I would and will definitely repurchase.

I am a MAC NC15, Stila "a", Armani #2 and porcelain/lightest in most other foundation shades. I have this powder in the shade #0, a very light shade that should suit all pale/fair complexions since it's translucent. I was told that #1 is bronzier and only suits medium to darker skin-tones. This comes in the typical SM plastic compact with random pictures on top, quite unlike any other brands around. The compact houses two consistencies of powder- matte and shimmery. It reminds me a lot of Stila's Illuminating Pressed Powder, but the glowy side is slightly more shimmery. Also the SM powder feels more finely milled than the Stila one. The powder is a bit lighter than the Stila IPP in light and contains 1g less (SM: 6g, Stila 7g). I have sensitive combo skin and have experienced no breakouts with this product. I usually apply this by swirling my brush over both sides and the effect is glowy, non-glittery and thus suitable for every day. I find it somehow *lights up* my face, this powder also never looks chalky! I don't think it is suitable for oil-control, my skin acts like it would without powder when I wear this. I tend to get a bit shiny in my T-zone, but not overly oily. When using the SM primer plus SM cream foundation plus this powder my skin looks picture-perfect. I will write separate reviews for all these products, I am not yet sure that the primer is really necessary to get that porcelain effect. I had to deduct one lipstick because the price is a little steep: Euro 32 in Germany. In Europe we are used to high cosmetic prices and for an exclusive designer brand the price tag isn't even that bad compared to other hard-to-get-brands here. I guess in the States with a wider selection of brands and better prices this might not be your first choice though. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product, although I find it harder to rave for a powder than for a pretty l/s or e/s.

Great powder though O0 was slightly chalky on me. My only problem is there is hardly any in the compact. I used it a total of 6x and am already seeing pan! Argh! I dont think I will buy this again. I prefer my LSF powder.

I have this in shade #0. It is a very light, nearly white colored powder. It has 2 different textures, one side is a matte powder, the other a shimmery powder. This reminds me of my Stila pressed illuminating powder. You can apply the powders separately or mix together. I like to mix them, for a slightly shimmery, not overdone look.

There are only 2 shades availabe and mine's in shade #0, the compact is split-sided, one's a silky matte powder, the other is a shimmery one. They are lovely blended together as well as used seperately, the shimmery side also act as a highlighter! The texture is silky smooth, shade#0 is transparent which is good for mid-day touchups, I do find this a little too pale, will have to reserve this for the winter only.

Wow I finally found my holy grail pressed powder to touch up my makeup in the mid-day. This pressed powder is like Stila's illuminated pressed powder which also has 2 sides-matte and shimmer. I got color 0 which is transparent. I tried many other brands' but some are too dry or too thick. This is the one I've been looking for. You can use either the matte, shimmer or both. After some test driving, I'm most satisfied when I use both sides at the same time. And I can add a touch to extra shimmer if I want to. The effect is truly transparent, natural, and instantly freshen up my makeup! The sponge has excellent quality too. The only thing I'd like to rant is the packaging isn't classy. It's plastic case with the signature cover of photographs. Other than that, A++++!!
