I love "Sugar Maple". I have three colors, this is my favorite. Gorgeous by itself or over a berry or nude lip color. Smooth texture, decent staying power for a gloss.

I really like this shade, I tend to migrate more towards brown/bronzey colors and this fits the bill. It's shiny and shimmery but not overly so, it's still goes on nice and sheer. I don't mind the scent either, I like the smell of brown sugar! Wetslicks in general are a really nice drugstore gloss, it's nice to know that we can find these nice products and not break the bank in the process! A definite repurchase for me...

I really like Cover Girl wetslicks in general, but Sugar Maple is definitely my favourite colour. I love either nude or bronze lips. So this colour fits right into the category. It's very pigmented (and can very obviously seen that it is bronze) with enough shimmer but not too much. The gloss consistency for the wetslicks is very good - moisturizing and not sticky at all (I do not like sticky glosses! They are enemies to my hair). It does not last SUPER long on me, since I'm always drinking water (but it's unfair to say that lip products should last long in my opinion because we're always doing one thing or another with our lips! ;) ). So overall, it's a great gloss and I think everyone should try it at least once... it works great for autumn and winter seasons in my opinion because it makes the lip colour look a lot warmer against the cold weather!

As others have said, this looks much darker in the tube than when applied, but it's all for the better. The scent is so very wonderful, it actually smells like brown sugar to me and since this was the first WetSlicks I bought I thought the scent of each of them corresponded with the shade & name, but I've since purchased another and it's the same, so silly me. Great color for late summer and fall. As with most glosses it doesn't last very long but that's the downside to gloss. Not sticky, moisturizing is only fair. But the color is great ;)

Nice gloss...It's sheer and not thick. I don't like shimmer in my lipstick or lip gloss, but this isn't too bad because you can barely see it. It doesn't last long as stickier lip glosses, but I don't mind reappyling it. What I like most about it is that it doesn't make your lips flake!

I have been using this gloss for a while now and I love it. I had been looking for a natural, shimmery bronze lip gloss and took a chance buying this, and now it's one of my staple lip products. It feels very light and smooth on my lips, and while it doesn't last as long as the stickier glosses, I don't mind reapplying because I absolutely LOVE the scent. I have not tried any of the other shades for WetSlicks but this color is my absolute favorite for ANY lip gloss. I'll repurchase again and again!

I'm a lipgloss junkie and forever in search of the perfect all-round gloss. I have to say this comes pretty close. The texture is great, it's not sticky, it lasts losnger than most glosses (which, mind you isn't ALL that long , but still), it has mega shine and a little shimmer and the colour is a sheer bronze. I wear it alone for a little colour and shine in the daytime, and layer it over a lipstick for night. I've tried three other Wetslicks colours but this is definty my favorite. (the others were nice in terms of shine, but didn't give much colour at all)

After purchasing a few iffy shades of wetslicks, this one is a very pleasant surprise. It looks like a brown glittery mess in the tube, but it applies as a sheer bronze with subtle gold shimmer on my pink-pigmented lips. It looks great over anything I've tried, including bare lips. This is MAC blasphemy, but I'll take this any day over Oh Baby. My only con is that it's not very long-lasting, because the texture is smooth and slippery rather than sticky, like longer-lasting glosses. But that's not too big a deal, because it fades more evenly as a result. Would definitely repurchase. MAC C4, golden HHH.

I love the slicky-ness texture and the shine of this lipgloss. Very moisturizing too. In the tube, colour looks darker but once applied, like any other gloss, colour is pretty sheer. I don't mind that though because if I wanted more intense colour, I would use a lipstick instead. Looks bronzy with a hint of gold on my lips. Gloss doesn't last that long. Great for natural/simple look.

It looks very dark in the tube but once you put it on it's a beautiful sheer bronze shade. The smell is a bit annoying at first. To me it smells like nearly burnt sugar, caramel almost, but it fades. This is by no means a thick gloss which in this case is good. It has very nice texture and so-so staying power, which I don't mind because I like to reapply. This is my second WetSlicks. The other one I got and really liked is Iced Berry.

I am almost out of this lip gloss. It is my absolute favorite. I love the smooth texture and the shine it has. I am NC40, and this is a YLBB color for me. It is bronzy on me. I have tried other ones, but I always come back to this one. It is not sticky either, and it is highly moisterizing.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Lipgloss that is shimmery bronze in the tube. Around $5 US. 0.27 fluid ounce.

PACKAGING The lipgloss comes in an oval-shaped tube which prevents it from sliding around (a nice plus). The silver cap and lettering is nothing particularly ugly.

COLOR In the tube, the lipgloss looks like a warm and vivid shimmery bronze. However, on my lips, it is very sheer with bronze microglitter. It lets the natural pink of my lips peek through. I took points off for this because I expected a lot more color from this lipgloss. However, this is nothing too unfortunate because I ended up with a nice nude shade.

SCENT/TASTE This lipgloss has a scent that reminds me of sugary coffee. It is evident when I apply it on my lips but it quickly dissapates leaving a scentless, tasteless lipgloss.

TEXTURE One of the lipgloss' strengths. It has a thin texture that is not at all sticky or gritty.

STAYING POWER It lasts a couple of hours at the most just like any other lipgloss with the same texture. The staying power is nothing truly impressive nor is it disappointing. Just standard.

OVERALL Although I got a nice nude shade that I will certainly wear often, I will not buy Wetslicks again. I would rather get a better color payoff by using the more inexpensive lipglosses from Rimmel.

I love this color and the product itself. My only problem is it is hard to get it out once you have used a lot. Seems like it is a waste to throw away that much left over. I would still buy it again though.

Very pretty color...like a maple-brown with golden-bronze shimmer. Not sticky or gritty, and has a great vanilla cupcake scent!

I really love this! I bought it for Fall since the name is Sugar Maple. It is a sheer brown, not too unlike MAC lipglass in Oh Baby (which I've worn for 5 yrs) but w/o the horrid stickness. It is smooth and moist which is how I now like my gloss. I pair it with Milani Easyliner for lips Most Natural. A fabulous liner that is perfect rose/nude (think LORAC 18, but better texture, soft) and brings out the pink in Sugar Maple for a medium, shimmery brown/pink lip for Fall!

Nice, non-overpowering scent like something sugary or like vanilla. Beautiful shimmer. I think I'll try it in another color, so I'll definitely repurchase.

Performance: This gloss is very thin, so it doesn't last long, but for those who don't like sticky glosses, you might like this. I prefer sticky glosses because they last longer (I hate reapplication). This is a pretty color; shimmery brown. The glitter is a little too obvious for my taste though.

Fragrance: This is kind of sweet-smelling. Not offensive at all.

Packaging: This comes in a tube with a doe foot wand applicator.

Price: Very cheap. Even if you don't like it, I'd give it a try because you're not losing much even if you don't.

You know, I just noticed something after buying this gloss- I buy the same shades over & over again. this is a near-clone of my Milani l/g in serendipity, which is a near-clone of MAC Oh baby. This is the same shade I have in many other lip products. But this goes on very sheer, which disappointed me b/c I obviously love the color. And I don't know what I'm doing differently than anyone else, but this gloss does not last on me at all. Plus the color goes on much sheerer than it looks in the tube, and 'goes clear' w/in 30 minutes, meaning it thins out to the point that it turns clear. I have to reapply constantly! Other than that it's fine & I love the smell/taste. But for $5 I expected better staying power & more color. It moisturizes quite well though.

UPDATE: This stuff makes my entire mouth feel 'coated' the second my tongue touches my lips. Bleh.

This is my favorite of all the WetSlicks I have tried. It does not dry out my lips at all and has decent staying power. All the Wetslicks are sheer (at least out of all the ones I have tried) and this is not exception. This color goes on lighter than what it looks like in the tube so do not let that deter you from buying. This is probably one of Cover Girl's best products. About time they got with the times.

For me, this is MAC's Oh Baby without the glitter. It is one of the more authentic baking smells (cake-batter, vanilla, whatever) lipglosses I own. It's also the rare lipgloss that doesn't dry your lips out more when you wear it. It can be re-applied without a mirror because it's so sheer.
