It smells sorta like vanilla cream to me. To me it doesn't seem like a "heavy" conditioner, it more normal to light. If you have damaged hair or colored or dry I wouldn't recommend this. But if you have healthy hair that doesn't need much this seems to work good. The scent doesn't liger afterwards. And it also makes a good leave in when you need. Little extra love for the hair.

Like its scent. It lasts until my next hair wash. Nothing can remove the scent, hair oil, hair spray, ROTC. And it makes mr hair look great. Love it. Will definitely repurchase.

Ooook ladies.. I love this product, now! When I first tried it, I was so disappointed. I thought it didn't do anything for my hair, but I just didn't realised what ist did! So if you ask me, this product isn't the best when it comes to moisturizing. I mix it with my Moroccanoil conditioner. American Cream just makes my pretty thick hair just so soft and managable, my hair always sits perfectly after blowdrying when I used this conditioner.

This smells so amazing, the scent lingers in my hair for about 8 hours. I use this with Seanik and they make my hair soft and silky. I really love how the packaging is 100% recycled. And this conditioner doesn't way my hair down one bit. I highly recommend this to everyone.

I bought this conditioner online to try it out and I have to say, I am not fond of the scent. It says that it is supposed to smell like a strawberry vanilla milkshake, but it smells more like a laundry dryer sheet. (I love the smell of strawberries so I was hoping to find something that smelled like them.) it does make my hair soft and healthy looking, but I just cant get past the 'clean linen' scent. I probably won't buy this again. I will probably be trying out their Happy Happy Joy Joy.

I am a huge fan of Lush and had high hopes for this product, however it has let me down completely. Why I am giving it one lippy is because it smells nice. Other than that, this conditioner does nothing for my hair. It's not moisturizing or conditioning at all. I think I might just return it to the lush store or maybe throw it out. Very disappointing.

I love this conditioner mostly for the smell because it smells so nice! It makes your hair super soft and the smell lingers for a while. My hair is dryish but I wouldn't recommend it for someone with super dry or thick hair because it is very thin and you need a lot of product for one use. It says it a thick heavy conditioner but I disagree with that. It is good if your hair is slightly dry like mine but if not this wouldn't last you long because you need a lot of it. I do find myself buying a new small bottle every month. I still love it and will continue to buy it (:

I recently bought the $19.95 3.8 oz bottle of American Cream to try it out. The smell is delicious - vanilla-y and fruity with a hint of herbs. The conditioner itself is kind of thin for my taste, and I feel like I have to use a decent amount of it to cover my hair adequately. It rinses out easily and makes my hair smell amazing. The best part about American Cream is that it doesn't weigh down your hair, which is a problem for me with most conditioners. It's one of their best conditioners IMO, but there are better conditioners that are more cost effective than American Cream. Personally, it's not worth the price tag.

This conditioner is awful it does absolutely nothing for my hair. I don't know how this works on one reviewer who has "thick coarse hair!" I have very long thick coarse hair and this stuff doesn't do anything at all just keeps it dry along with seanik solid shampoo(both are crap). Also I don't know where people pick up the scent of strawberry milkshakes with this conditioner because to me I smell oranges and that disappears in seconds just so I can smell like a petting zoo or a barnyard. Im serious lanolin smells like a barn/zoo to me I surprised nobody's mentioned that on here before. I even googled it to see if it was just me who thought lanolin smelled bad! Bottom line is this conditioner is nasty and comedogenic also it's messy in the bathtub it settles and sticks there and this STINKS LIKE A PETTING ZOO!! I'm starting to think Lush is a CON!

I love LUSH, not unlike most of the people disappointed by this product. I also must admit I made a mistake while buying this which was not to check the ingredients list. (entirely my fault, I don't feel robbed by LUSH in any way)v
Shampoos and conditioners with harsh chemicals or comedogenic ingredients give me bad skin reactions on the neck, lower back, chest and forehead areas so I steer clear of them. When I picked up this conditioner, the thought going through my head was, 'LUSH; I trust LUSH. this won't have any unnatural ingredients or ingredients the product doesn't absolutely need to work its magic.' Which i'll readily admit was stupid.
But it is loaded with parabens, sulfate, etc. which a conditioner does not need to work. It's basically a mainstream conditioner, the kind of quality you find in supermarkets in the beauty section... only it costs 10 dollars for the smallest bottle.
I know this one is mostly because of my specific needs/ my naivety and i'm sure people who don't have my skin issues could love it. But just a warning for those looking for something natural... this isn't it.

Lovely conditioner. Has an intoxicating vanilla cream scent that lingers just enough, and moisturizes hair quite nicely. This is my 'heavier' conditioner, for when my hair needs a shot of moisture. I also use Jungle. Smoothes and detangles hair beautifully, just keep off of your scalp if you have oily hair.

it's just a conditioner that give you a full amout of vanilla smell. it's not moisturizing, not protecting, just smells good. Actually it makes my hair even drier than un-conditioned. The drieness gives you the volume when blow-dried. the price is not attractive, 10 dollars for a 100ml, not worth it, even if it claims to be natural and handmade.

To be honest it's not the best conditioner that I ever tried but I do think I will keep repurces this over and over. It a super average conditoner but it smells so good! I use this more like a hair parfume. It does makes your hair softer and gives it a little moisture but this one is all about the smell. It probably kind of stupid to buy it mainly for the smell. But with every air breeze you smell the incredible fragrance and you don't regret buying it. Just don't buy it when you need alot of moisture for your hair.

I have to say, I am a big Lush fan but unfortunately, not all of their products are amazing, most are, but not all. I did not love this conditioner. It has a very distinct smell that disturbs me. I can smell almost a charcoal smell in it. I don't smell bananas and strawberries as it's described on the website. The texture is thin for a conditoner. I'm used to WEN and that stuff is like body butter consistancy. It did make my hair soft but nothing special. The price is steep, $33 for the 16 oz bottle. That's a lot of money, especially when it wasn't that great.

As nice as this smells, it did absolutely nothing for my hair except make it feel more course and difficult to brush through. It also looked awful after using American Cream. I heard a lot of good things about this conditioner so I was excited to try it but I wish I hadn't. It was expensive for an extremely unimpressive product.

I wanted a conditioner with no obesogens and thought of Lush because I used to use their products when I was younger...
Well, this conditioner is amazing! The smell is divine (I am seriously addicted to it and wish they'd come out with a soap with the same scent!) As another reviewer said, it doesn't feel all that wonderful when you put it on but afterwards, my hair was soft and lovely... And my hair can easily go two days without a wash, which was previously impossible. Not only that but it still smells faintly of this conditioner! It's so great!
I'm returning to the store for a bigger bottle!

I uses to use this a few years ago and liked it but then ran out and forgot about it. I walked past my local Lush a few days ago and was drawn in by the smell tbh haha! Anyway, I bought this again (the small bottle). It still smells lovely, a rich, heady vanilla and herby type smell, quite sweet though. I usually use this on a day when I know I'm not going out as I like to slather it on and then leave my hair to air dry (having washed it off after a bit of course). That way the next day after shampooing, hair is left really soft and with a light scent of it, rather than a bit weighed down as it can sometimes make my hair feel. Overall, I would highly recommend as it smells lovely and does leave hair feeling soft.

I usually love LUSH products, and have used almost all of their solid shampoos... but this time, I got talked into buying a liquid conditioner by the sales attendant and regret! regret! regret! it.
For reference, I asked for a moisturizing conditioner with a 'light' scent that wouldn't weight my hair down. I bought the smaller bottle (to try, because I wasn't sure I would like it). My hair is usually wavy, thick, dark, and gets washed every other day. I used the conditioner with the "trichomania" solid shampoo.
Pros:
-I honestly...can't think of any. This isn't even great for shaving.
Cons:
-THE SMELL IS AWFUL! I like "herbal" scents a lot usually, but this was sold to me as "smells like strawberries and vanilla.. like a cake". The scent is NOTHING like strawberries and smells like some sort of intense.. spicy.. herbal mish mash. Cloves? Either way, it overpowers the gentle scent of trichomania, I constantly get asked if I am wearing a "new" perfume (not in a positive way) and it barely fades. I almost thought the bottle was mislabelled..
-Not moisturizing, just greasy. My hair looked better when I used VINEGAR as a conditioner. It weighs my hair down, but it doesn't feel or look particularly soft.
-Expensive for what it does (mostly nothing).
Bottom line:
Sorry LUSH, this one was an utter fail for me.

I love this conditioner! It smells amazing, like strawberry milkshakes. While your hair is wet it doesn't feel very nice but when your hair dries it is insanely soft. I will definitely buy it again.

i like the smell of this conditioner and that i can smell it all day but it was pretty expensive for a conditioner. i don't think it is very conditioning unless you use a palmful of the product.
