I bought this for my ends, because with Japanese Hair Straightening and a home water softener often my ends are not as thick as I am used to. Without TR my ends are really thick but with TR not so much. This really helps make them look thicker, and your whole hair if used all over.. It smells very medicine like, which I don't like, would prefer a pretty smell, but If I continue to like it then I don't care..

Not very moisturising, definitely not moisturising enough to compensate for the drying effect of the rosemary shampoo. Leaves a small amount of residue, which I suppose is due to the thickening effect. However, I don't like how it feels at all - the buildup makes me feel dirty if I use it on a daily basis. I will use it occasionally just to finish the bottle.
Does not spread smoothly over the hair at all. Took me 3 times as much conditioner as the accompanying shampoo to cover the same amount of hair. Very mismatched.
Unfortunately I can't tell you how volumising it is, because I refuse to use the accompanying shampoo and I won't use this conditioner more than once or twice a week (again, just to use it up).

I was looking for organic conditioner that would give volume hair, due to thinning hair, plus rosemary oil in it which supposed to help to improve scalp health. Found this at health food store, I thought, what the heck, I just gotta to try it since it was on sale. I conjuct this with biolage delicate care shampoo. Wow! It gave me volume, feeling more healthier hair. I will continue to use it. I love aroma smell, since I live in state where alot of health food store, alot of down to earth people around. Rosemary oil is known to promote hair growth, and give scalp better health and less drying than before. I have scalp disorder that caused my hair fall out and couldn't hold my hair any longer. This rosemary helps alot. I do not like rosemary shampoo line, so I just use this conditioner conjuct with other brand of shampoo that has no sulfate in it.

I've started getting back into natural products in a big way. I don't like to spend a lot on shampoos and conditioners and you get a fair amount of this stuff for your money. I like the fact that this smells and feels like a natural product when I use it. However, the results aren't anything special. In a way, I kind of feel this volumizing conditioner actually makes my hair feel even more flat and limp than before (though it might work better with the Shampoo). I have rather oily hair and I don't think this conditioner really suits it. I've given this product lippies for being organic and inexpensive but I can't say it does what its supposed to, which is a bit disappointing because I wanted to like this product.
UPDATE: I was a bit mean on this product first time round. However, I have continued to use it and found that i'm now addicted to it. It makes my hair feel so soft and shiny looking. It does add a bit of volume (not a life changing amount but enough to make a difference) and using it with the rosemary Shampoo (which dries out my hair) makes this conditioner less greasy for my oily hair. But also, this conditioner can be put with other shampoos to give a better balance and effect. So a good thumbs-up.

My hair has a medium texture and some curl. I use a moisturizing shampoo, but the companion conditioner is too heavy for my hair. I hoped that this volumizing conditioner would make my hair fuller and with more body and curl. Instead, it made my hair soft, flat, and the curl disappeared.

I highly recommend this conditioner with the shampoo. I bought it for my boyfriend and discovered I liked it more than my Aveda shampoo. It gives great volume and body, using natural ingredients and paraben free!

I bought this conditioner because it gets a reasonable rating on the cosmeticsdatabase (a 3). I would prefer a complete fragrance free one, but a good one is hard to find.
The Rosemary is the volume version, and it gives a little bit volume.
I like the smell of the Lavender more.
I have fine hair that is shoulder length, I wash my hair every other day.
This conditioner does not make my hair limp, oily or dry. But it does not give much of shine.
So all together not a bad one, but not very good either.

I have baby fine silky hair. It's thin. Not thinning. Thin. My toddler son has thicker hair than I do. It tangles easily and gets oily fast and the ends split even without heat stylers, etc. It also has a bit of a wave so the ends can get oddly frizzy. Gels weigh it down. My hair has special needs. On a whim, I decided to try organic hair care. This is what my hair has been craving. I need to use conditioner because it tangles so easily. Most conditioners cause a certain amount of breakage (I assume because of the silicones). My breakage is a fraction of what it used to be. After using this, my hair is tangle free and soft. When I came out of the shower today, my husband told me my hair looked like a hair commercial: shiny with just the right amount of wave. I find it works best if I shampoo right when I get in the shower and then leave the conditioner on while I wash the rest of myself, then rinse. The hard part is remembering to shampoo 1st. ;)

This conditioner is decidedly adequate for my hair. Doesn't do much more than make it slightly easier to comb out. BUT!!!! This stuff smells glorious!!!!! I said I wouldn't buy it again because it's not the most wonderful conditioner, but I'd consider buying it again just for the scent. I find myself smelling my hair all day. I wish I could get the scent in a decent conditioner.

This conditioner did nothing for me. Did not remove tangles from shampooing, not did it add much volume. My hair also felt dry after using. If you wanna use a vegan all natural products, use ABBA haircare. For $2 more, you get much better results.

i have straight asian hair prone to frizz with an oily scalp. what i like: no silicone therefore no gucky fake softness. what i don't like: would've appreciated a heavier conditioner, not fond of scent, fairly expensive. from what i know, all drugstore conditioners contain silicone, which i really don't like. therefore, i do see myself repurchasing avalon organic conditioners to stay away from silicone, but definitely not this scent.

Oh no! I hate being in the minority on this one especially since I am trying to use as many 'natural' products as possible but this left my fine hair dry and fluffy without any shine at all. I'm giving it two stars instead of one though because it smells divine. I have switched to Faith in Nature Hemp conditioner which I find much better (but doesn't smell as good!).

This is a very nice conditioner, it's pretty light, so no good if your hair is dry. The scent is pleasent, but I 'm not sure if I would buy again, because there are so many other hair products that I like better, but this was pretty good.

This was a nice conditioner, it made my hair shiny. I liked the rosemary scent. It was expensive at the health food store, but maybe it's less expensive at a Whole Foods or a regular grocery store.

Excellent conditioner!I like to alternate between this and lighter conditioners once in a while. If you want shiny, healthy looking hair this will work but it has a tendency to reduce volume, which is ok for me(depite the "Extra body" written on the bottle... weird.)
***I do not recommend this on sparse, limp or straight hair; too rich. This is for thick wavies like me and curlies ; )

Well, this sure didn't detangle MY hair, even if it worked for others. I had to put three coats on, and still very little detangling. But then b/c I had to put so much on my hair feels greasy and weighted down and unmanageable all day. I wanted to like this b/c of the organic ingredients and it smells great and is reasonably priced for a natural product ($6.50 for 11 ounces), but I'm going to have to swap this!

I was a bit skeptical about this conditioner since it's for fine hair and for volume. Usually, for me that means that it doesn't detangle or condition my dry hair enough. Well, thankfully this conditioner is not like that. It moisturizes, detangles and leaves my hair soft. Also, it's got natural ingredients and no silicones.
