Yes! This does make the best blush and it is exactly why I bought it.
I was hoping to find some blush that would be travel sized but also found that it's a bit too small (and potentially messy) to use as a purse blush. But like the last reviewer mentioned, it never fades after my morning application--it just keeps glowing. Although its very dark (I can't imagine using it on my eyes really) it gives a healthy flush. In the winter it looks like you;'ve just come from outside and in the summer it looks like you just got a little sun. Very nice. As I am now letting my grey come in it looks even better with my skintone--keeps me from looking washed out.

This is an OK eyeshadow - it's really easy to end up looking as if you just cried or are very tired with this color, so careful application is key - but a GREAT blush. The color just comes out a wonderful pigmented rosey color that lasts much longer than most regular blushes - really a great find! The only thing I dislike is the packaging because the pot is kind of too small for use as a blush (which makes sense, as that isn't the intended use), but that won't stop me using it!

Another very pretty Glimmer from BE. I received this in the Lip Buzz set, along with Citrus Twist, Radiant Rebecca and Amazing Amanda. I prefer this, Radiant Rebecca, and Amazing Amanda to Citrus Twist, but I like that as well. I'm a MAC NC30 and the ones that I like more are a bit deeper than Citrus Twist, and Citrus Twist has a lot of yellow in it. Silk Rose is a medium to deep bronze-pink, that, in the crease, almost looks like a burgundy-bronze-pink. Makes a great cheek color if you're careful with it on application - too much and it's obvious. Also a great lip color. The Lip Buzz set didn't have sifters in the glimmers- something I prefer, but believe BE has corrected with the new packaging. I can't use this color too close to my lid, along with all the aforementioned colors, because it is too warm/red/brown and would make my eyes look red and me sickly. So, it's out for a liner or lid color, but it's definitely "in" for cheeks, wash, and lips. I think this color is beautiful; this one and Amazing Amanda are my favorites in the set, but I like the others as well. The staying power is great with these; I don't get melt or creasing with them and they definitely stay on the cheeks all day too. As a lip color, you have to reapply once or twice during the day with the balm, as you would any lip color. They tend to be drying as a lip color, however. Very versatile product. I would really recommend the Lip Buzz set for cheeks, lips and eyes in the crease.

Nice basic color with good warmth. I like it well enough, but at times it does look like I have some eyelid irritation instead of eyeshadow on my lids. So it might be a little too pink on me, but I still enjoy using it. My best friend is a PPP and looks gorgeous with this e/s on, so perhaps it's a bit better suited for lighter complexions. One odd thing I noticed is that it almost looks like a great blush color. At times I dust blush (usually BE Lovely or Trendsetter) on my lids and I get a very similar look...hmmm...

For reference, I'm what MAC calls an NC40.

It's a staple medium pink. I usually wear it alone with mascara for a casual look and with BE Shantung in the crease if I want a more dramatic look. Some days, it looks like it has a little shimmer in it but other days, my eyes look a bit irritated. It has great staying power (but maybe that's because I use a primer). The packaging is typical for BE but since all you need is the tap of a brush for application, I won't be repurchasing - BE eyeshadows last forever. Although it looks ordinary on the lids, it actually makes a good blush. Dare say, I think it looks like BE Blush in Beauty.

DESCRIPTION OF ME Asian with a warm complexion (C3-C4 in MAC) with strong yellow undertones and some peach. Black hair. Oily skin that is prone to breakouts.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Loose mineral eyeshadow. $12 US for .02 oz/0.57 g.

PACKAGING Most Bare Escentuals eye products (including my Silk Rose) comes in a small shallow tub with no sifter. I don't like this at all since it is far too easy to spill all of the powder. The least BE can do is make the tub deeper.

COLOR Silk Rose is a pinkish brown (almost mauve if it had more pink) with medium shimmer. On my skin, it looks a lot more shimmery and more pink. It is not neutral or very versatile, nor is it anything exciting. It makes my lids look swollen. However, since mineral makeup can be used pretty much anywhere, I tried to use it as a blush and voila! It works!

TEXTURE The mineral powder is very finely milled. It is not scratchy at all. It applies evenly too.

APPLICATION I am pretty used to loose powder products but I understand that it can be a hassle to deal with them. To minimize trouble, load up a dry brush with this eyeshadow, shake and tap out the excess. It also helps to hold tissues underneath your eye to catch any fallout.

OVERALL Great product but the color is not right for me at all as an eyeshadow. This makes a great blush but I still would not repurchase.

Silk Rose is a pretty neutral shade. Not a stunning color, but a great basic e/s shade. I would describe it as a matte brownish pink.

I pair it with Peach Puff and it looks gorgeous. It's pretty with any chocolate brown, coral or eggshell beige as well.

BE e/s have a great lasting power - I love these e/s. But I agree with the reviewer below, the packaging could be VERY messy (Once I spilled half of my Sex Kitten Glimmer jar... sigh :-/).

I received Silk Rose as a birthday present. I usually wear just one eyeshadow with eyeliner for everyday, but this color is too red to wear alone. However, it looks fantastic if you blend it with a medium-brown color. I took off some lippies because the packaging is terrible - there is a good chance you will end up spilling product if you're in a rush to get ready.

This is a nice lid color, but sometimes it's a little too red-toned and makes eyes look bloodshot.

Groovynub is right about the tawny element to this colour - it's what stops it being at all garish or too much. It's a slightly browned off corally pink with some shimmer. It makes an oddly flattering crease colour on days I'm working a 'natural' look!

Silk Rose is a beautiful medium pink with peachy nude undertones. Its really not too pink nor is it really to peach. Almost a salmon color but not as much coral. Very pretty nuetral shade.
