These shadows are not matte - a couple of them have the slightest shimmer. They are all very neutral.
Although I will wear these, I find the pigmentation to be sub-par as they go on extremely pale & do not build well. I was surprised at how crumbly the shadows were when using a couple of different brushes to pick up the product. There was also a lot of fallout when applying - the most I've ever experienced, actually. I typically use MAC eyeshadow but was looking for something cheap & good. By comparison, the texture of these is chalkier. On the upside, on my pale skin this quad looks extremely understated which is nice for a regular work day or any time you want nearly invisible eye makeup.

Revlon In the Buff eye quad is a great collection of nudes. The quad contains a vanilla, a light petal, a bone, and a milk chocolate-y shade (all are matte). When I am tired I can brighten up my eyes instantly with the vanilla and petal, and the bone is a great wash. I use the chocolate shade on my eyebrows, but not really as an eyeshadow, because dark colors don't look to great on my eyes. Overall, the products are very versatile. Be sure the eye area is moisturized before using these, because they can go on a little dry. And the packaging could use some work, as I have had trouble opening this without the product flying out of my hands. Otherwise, I have no complaints, and I will repurchase this when I am done.

this eyeshadow isn't awful.. i only use the dark color on my crease because the other 3 colors don't really show up.. i'm not sure if i will buy it again since i dont use all the colors.. it is kinda pricey for a ds eyeshadow.. overall, it's not the WORST eyeshadow i've ever used but it is pretty decent..

This is a great basic quad. The four colours are a pale pink, a nude beige, a light brown and a dark brown. I often use the nude beige as a base for all my eyeshadows including the cream eyeshadows and they dont budge. I took off one lippie for the crappy applicator, but otherwise its a great product, definately a repurchase.

Neither a rant or rave. Good colors, great price, available everywhere, doesn't have the staying power I'd like. No trace of darkest color applied wet after ten hours today... needs work after five. However, I think it's a fair product for the price, and if you are looking to experiment with a different color palette, you can't beat it.

I'm another big fan of In the Buff quad, because it's such a lovely neutral set. I hope they never stop making this!

I never thought I would like any drugstore eyeshadows, but Revlon shadows, both creme and powder, have surprised me. This quad is the perfect shadow quad for everyday elegance, and it is a great quad for someone just getting into makeup, because the colors are goof-proof and natural. As an experienced makeup fanatic :) I like the blendability, smooth texture and lovely sheen that these provide. There are two brownish colors, one a matte cocoa brown, one a warm slightly-darker-than-tan brown with delicate sheen, then there is a yellow-based buff color, and a more pink-based nude, with sheen. The colors go on true to how they look, and do not irritate my eyes. The color lasts all day. Most drugstore shadows have caused great eye irritation for me..Revlon's do not.

I would give this product 10 stars if I could! Love, love, LOVE!!! This has to be the best, most natural looking set of eyeshadows in the drugstore. The quality is silky and irridescent as well as matte at the same time - it strikes that perfect balance. Staying power is awesome as well. The colors blend very very softly with one another that it's really hard to tell where each one begins and ends even before you start to blend with your brush! It looks very tasteful and classy and elegant afterwards even though it's dirt cheap! I love this product so much I've hoarded a whole bunch of them just in case it ever gets discontinued. At first I thought it wouldn't work because the colors are somewhat pale (originally I favored beiges and browns) but I found it goes on perfectly with my NC35 yellow warm complexion! The soft peach and soft pink makes it look like real skin whereas with beige shades, you can obviously tell it's eyeshadow. I think EVERYONE can wear this quad, the trick is where you place the peach and pink whether you're warm (peach as wash, pink on lids) or cool (pink as wash, peach on lids). I use the light brown shade as the crease color and the darker brown for contouring and lining. It's really perfect... I URGE you to try it at least once!!!

This quad is a real winner! I am PPP and blue eyes, and this is great for a natural look using warm tones, and browns. I could not decide between this and coffee bean, and since I love this one, I might get coffee bean too.

What it's called is what you get. This quad ($6.50 for 6.2g). Its 4 matte shadows are a light peach, light pink, cafe au lait, and chocolate. I bought this 2 years ago and never wore it because I don't wear matte shadows often, but when looking at the BB Nude on Nude palette, decided to give "Buff" a try at 1/7 of the price. I wasn't disappointed-go Revlon! The shadows are subtle on my GGG skin and add a little polish--the "I woke up like this" look. Unlike other lines' matte shadows, these have the same creamy, smooth texture as their shimmery sisters. These shadows work with/over/under shimmery shades as well, thereby boosting its practicality. It's too bad it took me so long to get around to trying this quad, but I'm gonna make up for lost time!

A great e/s quad for natural eye makeup. The colors are all matte and very natural looking - a light beige, a soft light pink, a med brown, and a slightly darker brown. The colors blend well and create the softest contours for the eyes, and are very pretty for a natural eye. I do wish that the darker colors were more pigmented though, because using them wet makes them harder to blend, and they do not go on nearly as dark as they are in the quad.

Yet another rave for Revlon's shadows! These have amazed me with their quality, staying power, pigmentation, and blendability -- not to mention their low price for what you get!

"In The Buff" is a quad containing 4 warm matte shades: pale peach; pale ballet pink; mocha; and light milk chocolate. They are absolutely PERFECT for creating an eye look that says, "yup, I look this good naturally!" LOL. They're no-brainer colors, like the Coffee Bean quad, but more (pale) flesh-toned than brown. I cannot stop raving for these shadows in general, and am kicking myself for not having tried them sooner. Definitely a repurchase item!
