I love the colour of this polish, but it never dries properly on my nails. Even after a quick-dry topcoat that works on all of my other polishes, this polished can get mushed on my nail hours later. It's very unfortunate, because the shade of this polish is absolutely amazing.

Warm sandy bronze nude frost color. Looks different depending on how many coats you apply.

I bought this thinking it was Penny Talks, but it wasn't. Looks gorgeous in the bottle. I actually haven't worn it myself yet, but I've applied it to my friends' nails. It looks amazing when it's on the nails, but for some reason it's already getting clumpy around the neck of the bottle and there have been a few air bubbles and clumps on my friends' nails after I applied two coats. It varied a lot though, so I think it may just have been a bad batch. If this runs out, I'll probably buy another one, but if that bottle turned out the same as my current one, then I probably wouldn't repurchase.

I am a huge fan of essie products - their colours are always so subtle but says a lot of their sophisticated brand image. I am in love with their pastel colours and I really think no one does pastel as well as they do (yes, not even OPI) based on the amount of colour availabilities. Having said that, I have to say this is the first essie product I've purchased and made me feel "meh" afterwards. The bottle as well as the sample card is not representative of what the colour is at all. I thought it would be a pastel, washed-out greyish pink; but the result on my nail is somewhat shimmery and shiny. I thought it was because the watery formula essie usually comes in and applied two coats, but stil the same result. I'd trade this colour off for something else more matte in a heart beat...

As usual, love the design of the bottle. No complaints about the brush itself (wide-based brush, very easy to use). Some people don't like essie's non-viscious, watery formula but I like it. Usually I apply two coats of any nail polish, regardless of brand, just to ensure an even coat. With two coats, essie usually results in a good pigmentation without being too thick and weighing down on my nails.

The good:

Application is easy. This is a pretty gold color

The bad:

The polish didn't 'chip' for me but it did fade on the tips on day 2.

Too much shine a little too distracting.

This is my first Essie nailpolish so i had really high expectations to this nailpolish.
And it didn't disappointed me.
The color is really pretty. I was afraid that it will look bad because i have fair skin but it didn't.
The color is natural and it has a great shine to it.
It glide on so well.
The only bad thing about it is the texture. It was bit to watery and i got too much on on my first nail.
But rather from that: pretty color, great on fair-medium skin color.
Just perfect!

This color is realllly pretty in the bottle, but sadly my skin tone isn't near dark enough for it right now. Maybe in the middle of the summer. It looks super pretty on my Mom though.

Looks like a shimmery, dusty rose color to me. Just purchased 12/5/11 because I like neutral shades. Can't wait to try with my next mani/pedi for professional application.

Got to say, this is my favorite neutral nailpolish of all time :) It's a gorgeous pinky beigish color perfect for everyday wear. However it goes on quite sheer on the first coat so you're going to need to do apply atleast 2 coats. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I would never actually go for this color but really surprised by the shimmery frost pinky-beige color, really pretty for the holidays. Need two coats but lasted a long time.

This polish was a great and positive surprise. I bought it because I was in need of a "neutral" that wasn't sheer (or pink), and this was the only one that looked acceptable. After the first coat, I was tempted to remove it at once. It looked as if my nails had grown a thin coat of skin, not an attractive look at all. But the second coat brought out a lot of rosa, silvery and taupe nuances that sparkled and changed when they caught the light. I put on a third coat which didn't darken the color, on the contrary it made the slightly metallic surface even more beautiful. If you like Chanel's "Quartz", you'll love this. It's slightly paler and has a bit more pink in it than "Quartz", but the overall look and feeling is the same. It is also good for making a little more intersting version of "mannequin hands". It was easy to apply, dried fast and lasted eight days without touch ups. I simply cannot recommend this polish enough. I hope Essie never discontinue it.

I like this color. It is neutral, but the frost makes it stand out. I don't think it is too frosty or dated in any way. But it does chip kind of easily. Luckily the chips are less noticeable because of the neutral tone of the polish.

Buy Me A Cameo is such a pretty pinked taupe with silver frost. The frost isn't ridiculous or juvenile. Unlike typical Essie polishes however, this can chip quite easily. Its not as noticeable as darker shades but you will have to touch up or remove this color after a couple of days. Still, this color is unique to me and worth the extra effort.

I am an NC 44.This is the 3rd Essie nail color I have bought in the last 2 months. It is a pretty shimmery beige or tan color with a touch of peach. It is a great everyday color that would blend well with most fashions. I am starting to like Essie better than OPI. Even though some their shades are only carried in salons, they offer quite a good selection in stores like Target and Walgreens.

What a surprising color! I usually don't buy essie (too small of a brush for me), but i've been needing a nude for awhile and this one got my eye. what surprised me was how opaque it was! one coat and my nail was completely covered, two and this polish goes from being just another nude to a standout shimmery gold/brown. smells a little weird, and not as good a formula as the OPIs, but if you are fairly good at doing your nails streaking shouldn't be a problem. will certainly repurchase.

A nice nude color that could work year round, I think. One coat is nice when you want it to be really subtle, two coats are perfect for an opaque look. Dries very fast. I have only one complaint: It stinks. Nonetheless I will continue to use it since it's such a pretty color.

Edited to add (03/12/2010): The stinkiness is more or less gone now. And it still goes on streaky.

Oh, this makes me so sad. The colour is perfect, just awesome: a shimmery beige that, on the nails, looks like the perfect pearly shell pink. It's beautiful. But it chips. It chips within a day. It chips worse than any other polish I've tried. If I ever find a base or top coat that stops this from chipping, I may cry.

Fantastic application. It took me only a few seconds to swipe a sheer, even coat. Two coats is opaque as a fine, shimmery light brown with subtle rosie pink tint. It's frosty without the icy white cast. It makes my hands and nails look beautiful. My favorite go-to nail polish!

Gorgeous nail polish colour, currently my HG brown (before it was Essie Over the Knee). Some reviewers have said that they see a pink tone to this colour; I don't see it at all. In the bottle the colour is a frosty brown, similar to chocolate soft-serve ice cream from an ice cream truck. There is also a beautiful brown shimmer. Unfortunately, the brown shimmer does not show after applying my regular two coats each on toes and fingers. It's a pretty colour regardless, and I would recommend it to any GGG or DDD (I'm MAC NW45 for reference).

WONDERFUL! Essie really seems to be a hit or miss in the color-quality department, and this one is most def a hit with me. This is a wonderful frosted silver-tuape beige, that actually doesn't streak on me! It's kind of wierd because it is cool AND warm at the same time, which is very wearable with any skintone. Looks nice with anything, and I plan on buying this again when I run out.
