I have used other clarifying shampoos in the past and this one is pretty good. It's a weekly treatment that removes all that leftover styling product buildup. I have used this one off and on the past 5 years since Salon Selectives discountined the one I used religiously years ago. It's in the affordable price realm but still seems kinda pricey compared to other drugstore versions.

No parabens. No sulfates. No artificial fragrance. No artificial color. No animal ingredients or testing. No mineral oil. No DEA. No phthalates. To which I say: rock on Origins. This shampoo smells great--effervescent and energizing--using only essential oils for fragrance. It also does an ace job of removing residue without stripping my color-treated hair. I'm planning on keeping this one in my shampoo rotation for quite awhile.

Nice clarifying shampoo but nothing special. I have lots of fine curly/frizzy hair and i use a clarifying 'poo's every week to remove product build up from gels, leave ins, sprays etc. This shampoo has a great fresh citrus scent, and removes build up without stripping my fine dry hair, but so do a lot of other (re: cheaper) clarifying shampoos. I am willing to splurge on hair products that work but I got that same results as No Deposit using a cheapie Suave shampoo. I used up my 8 oz bottle but will not repurchase. Those with oily hair who use clarifying shampoos more often or as their regular shampoo will probably benefit from this more.

I am torn over the rating for this one. I have to say I would recommend it BUT I would definitely NOT recommend it to anyone who has colour treated hair.
As I use a lot of hair products I wanted a clarifying shampoo to use now and again to counteract product build-up. The first time I used this I was pleased with the result - nice bouncy hair, looked really clean and shiny. I did think my hair looked a slightly different colour but thought nothing of it.
I used it again a week later. Nice shiny hair again but this time the difference in colour was much more marked. I have naturally red hair but have coloured highlights/lowlights every 12 weeks because my natural colour is fading. When I used this shampoo it was about 5-6 weeks after my last colour. This shampoo stripped all the colour right out of it and it now looks very light, washed out and a bit grey too! I think it is the effect of the citrus. The shampoo has a very strong orange smell (or is it grapefruit?) The smell is very nice but the effect is definitely not.
If you have coloured hair don't use this shampoo or you'd have wasted your money at the hairdressers!

THE BEST!!! I've searched for ages for the perfect shampoo for my thin, lifeless hair, and this is it! I use it for my regular shampoo, and it never makes my hair stripped or dry. It makes my hair shiny, full and clean smelling. I only wish they made a conditioner to go with it. I am a product junkie (aren't we all?) and rarely finish a bottle of ANYTHING, but I always make sure I have a spare bottle of this in case Origins does something STUPID like discontinue it. Highly recommend everyone try it, even if you only use it once a week or so. I will continue to repurchase this at any price!!

This is my first clarifying shampoo and I really like it. I don't use it very frequently though, probably 3 times a month or so because I don't use any styling products on my hair. It is useful however for removing silicone buildup from my normal shampoo and conditioner routine (I'm using Redken's All Soft and though it leaves my hair really soft and silky and shiny, it has a disconcerting amount of silicone in it). This works beautifully to cleanse my scalp and sweep all the debris away from my tresses. I love the grapefruit and French peppermint essential oils that leave my scalp and hair feeling so refreshed and squeaky clean. It DOES tend to make my hair just the weeniest bit dry though but I suppose that clarifying shampoos aren't actually supposed to moisturize. The price is a little more than what I'm used to paying for haircare (AUD 22) but until I find something better, I'll continue to purchase this.

I bought the small bottle and loved it. So I bought the ecomony bottle to refill the small bottle. That was years ago. The economy bottle is almost empty. I use the shampoo 1-10 times a month. Will not repurchase as I found Lush's Hybrid which removes build-up without stripping my hair color.

Love this product. The smell is awesome, lathers great, and makes your hair look great. I'm taking off 1 lippi because of the price. It's a little more than I like to spend on shampoo but will splurg and continue to get this.

I bought this at the CCO for $9, not sure of the regular price. This smells like a giant orange! I love it! It is invigorating, and really cleans the hair well. I am very happy with this product and will probably buy more when I run out.

wonderful fresh grapefruit scent, and really cleanses well without drying. i use it every 2-3 weeks or so, since i use a styling product regularly, and my normal type asian hair is left smooth, soft, and full of body. i enjoy this product immensely! will definitely buy again. cute bottle.

Everyone is right, this shampoo is amazing. I've just come back to it after using other products for a while, and I'm kicking myself for ever straying in the first place. That said, probably not for everyday use, although it doesn't dry your hair out in anything like the same way as e.g. Neutrogena clarifying shampoo.

Wow! This stuff smells delicious and works great! It's an aeromatherapy in the shower that really does a fantastic job! I use 3 leave in products in my curly hair everyday so every now and then I need something to get it out. I also highlight and color my hair and this product does not strip it. Love it! Worth every penny!

This is a nice shampoo if you want to indulge; like most of the Origins products, it smells lovely. The main detergent ingredient, sodium lauryl sulfate, is the same one found in most clarifying shampoos and many cheap drugstore shampoos. No Deposit adds some conditioning ingredients. If you don't mind spending extra, it does the job. Ingredients: Infusions of winterbloom and rose damascene [i.e. water with essential oils], sodium lauryl sulfate, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, myristamide dea, polyquaternium-39, essential oils of grapefruit and French peppermint, natural methyl, panthenol, wheat amino acids, basswood extract, sodium pca, nonoxynol-12, peg-40 hydrolyzed castor oil, dimethicone copolyol, propylene glycol, tetrasodium edta, methylisothiazolinone, methylparaben.

This shampoo smells so wonderful. It leaves my hair feeling softer and shinier than with an ordianry shampoo. It also does not cause my hair to feel dried out or stripped.

I use so many products on my hair that every 7-10 days I need to use a really good shampoo to remove all the gunk and build-up. No Deposit does just that. It has grapefruit and peppermint so it smells wonderful. I like to scrub my scalp really hard with the No Deposit as it is refreshing and tingly. Really wakes me up in the morning. Plus, my hair gets squeaky clean. I would not be able to use this product more than a few times a month since I have dry hair. It is my favorite anti-deposit shampoo.
