I've been looking everywhere for a cheap, dark, matte brown eyeshadow and this is exactly that. My only complaint is that it's hard to open.

It's too bad these aren't widely available. The color is a dark bark brown. The finish is matte and the texure is smooth. It applied and blended easilty. The only complaint I have is that the packaging is tricky to open and they crack easily.

This is a great chocolate brown to have in your collection. It's very pigmented and has a powdery texture. I did have some fallout due to the silky texture. It's great when you want a semi-matte shadow. Rich Chocolate is a good dupe for MAC's Coquette eyeshadow.

Ahhh, I'm so sad this has been discontinued! I won't leave the house without wearing this because it's what I use to fill in my brows. It's the perfect color and it's matte. Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever used it on my eyes lol. But it's great for the brows and I'll absolutely be repurchasing (if I can find it) because it's my HG brow filler.

Hands down the best dark brown shadow Ive used. I am now saying goodbye to my MAC espresso shadow because I have found this lovely replacement for about a fourth of the price. Also fits perfectly in my MAC palette. Hurray for Milani!!

Excellent eyeshadow! I love matte eyeshadows and this one is definitely matte. It's a very pretty chocolate shade, just as the name says. It has great color payoff and staying power, as well. I only wish I would have gotten other shades before I moved, I can't buy them anymore!

Pro:
- matte (i prefer matte eyeshadows)
- looks good even without an eyeshadow base
- very pigmented
- perfect brown for many different looks
- decent amount for the price
- decent lasting power (when used with eyeshadow base)
- you can depot it
- easy to blend
- doesn't cause fall out
Con:
- packaging: sometimes when i click the box close...it clicks so hard
which causes the eyeshadow to break
- packaging: sometimes it's very difficult to open that when it doesn
open eventually my nail scratches a bit of the eyeshadow out

I'm so glad I found this d/ced product in a random Florida Kmart. I use it wet as an eyeliner, or dry in my crease for a sultry but not too flashy look. Love it!

Finally! Milani Rich Chocolate is the matte brown eyeshadow that I have looked high and low for years!

The texture is amazing for a matte eyeshadow, the color payoff is A+ and it is dirt cheap!

I layered this one over my Stila smudgepot in brown and got perfect results. I used it overtop of UDPP and yet again, it was perfect.

This is a perfect brown shade to seal a pencil liner, create a smokey neutral eye and probably fills in brows well too (although I haven't tried that yet).

Exactly the brown color I was looking for~! Rich Chocolate is like matte deep brown. It's very versatile. I only wish it went on a little smoother. You really need to blend it well to get a smooth spread.

This is the second Milani e/s I have tried and been disappointed with (the other shade having been Clover). The color is a neutral, moderately dark chocolate brown bordering ever-so-slightly on the warm/orange side. The problem I had with it is that I did not find this to be anything more than averagely pigmented, and not not sufficiently intense enough for lining the eyes, for my liking. I love the texture, the very modest price, the packaging (SO easily depottable and fits in MAC, ELF and CG palettes), but when applied, it looses its richness and impact. These shadows are often said to be as good as MAC or other HE in other reviews, but I beg to differ GREATLY. The good thing is that so many others love this shadow, it will be easy to swap! :-) Alas, I am still looking for a suitable/better replacement of Lancome Maqueriche dark brown liner/shadow. *sigh*

Absolutely LOVE this color. And the fact that I can depot and put in a 15 pan palette makes me happy. It's a very blendable e/s. Beautiful chocolate matte color, really brings out my blue eyes. Love it!!

I was looking for a rich chocolate brown shadow, and saw this one. It looks chocolate in the pan, but on me at least, it was a dull, flat, ashy brown. Milani does make good shadows, among other things, but this color was not for me.

I think this is a really gorgous chocolate color. I like to pair it with storm and Java bean for a really nice chocolately looking smokey eye. Nice pigmentation, and smooth texture. Definately will buy this one again when I run out, though it might take a while before that happens.

I love this eyeshadow! It was on sale for 50% off at CVS along with the Milani blushes that are being discontinued. I hope they aren't discontinuing this too, I just discovered it. :(

Another Milani winner. A classic brown, with a hint of something that keeps it from looking flat or too matte. Love it as liner or shadow crease. I love shimmery shadows, but this one is so pigmented and smooth upon application. I'm glad I found rich chocolate!

I wear this almost every day. I apply it in the crease of my eye to add depth. Its great if I'm doing a natural look or wearing a strong red lip. As a black person its hard to find a brown that stands out against my skin. This does just that and the staying power is great! Its cheap, easy to get in any drugstore. My only gripe would be with the circular compact it comes in. I like that its small but it's sometimes difficult to open. A small problem though. It wont ever stop me from using this great shadow.

I love Milani eyeshadows for the simple virtue that they are SO easily depotted. I love palettes, as it allows me to carry aaaaalll my makeup easily.

Rich Chocolate is a great basic, matte dark brown. I use it to set my eyeliner EVERY SINGLE DAY. (Before, I used Jane Brownie Points, but this is pretty much the same color, but with a silkier texture.) Staying power and pigmentation are both excellent. I also use this to fill in my brows when I'm going for a more dramatic eye. I don't have any problems with this smudging or migrating, and the color isn't too red for my Asian C35 skintone. I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

Lovely color, great pigmentation but, alas, looks like dirt on my pale skin. But, regardless, Milani shadows are very high quality for being so inexpensive and I am still impressed everytime. Looked good on my hand, just not on my face! This works wonderfully as a liner, though. Goes on very smooth and creates a nice line.
