Has a large mirror, holes in the bottom so you can easily swap out your shadows, and is very sturdy and lightwieght. I love this palette for traveling also, it protects the shadows and looks classy. I will buy again :)

The compact is very high quality and well designed! It's large but good for holding Stila eyeshadows and blushes. Each well has a magnet on the bottom for holding the Stila pan of your choice, with a little hole on the bottom for when you want to pop out your pan (I use a bobby pin to pop out the pans). You also get a large mirror. I wish the whole setup wasn't so darn expensive, but it's easy to find shades and the compact on discount from ebay, Beauty Ticket, and Beauty Crunch.

I adore these compacts. They're so sturdy, tough and classy. It's super easy to pop shadows in and out. I love my Stila shadows even more because I can put them into such a great compact. I wish Stila shadows were smaller though.

Sturdy, refillable compact in matte silver, with full size mirror under the lid and 4 wells for pans. This compact does not have a place to store a brush. The wells each have a recessed magnet to hold the pans in. Perfect for gals who like to depot and/or mix and match colors. Personally I don't care for cardboard packaging, so I depot all my Stila items and put them into refillable Stila palettes. Also available in a 3-pan version and a 6-pan with brush.
Holds pans up to 35mm, which means only Stila pans will fit... but beware, I have read that the newer Stila eyeshadow duos are a tad too big to fit! I really wish Stila had not chosen a non-standard size for their pans...

these are great. sturdy and small enough to tote your Stila shadows around without having to bring way too much. I have two and organized them so that the shadows that go together are in each. I left my highlighter out as a single as it goes with every looks. Very chic and nice touch with the mirror.

It holds the eyeshadows and that's whatI bought it for. Pretty sturdy so I cannot complain.

Well these compacts are quite, how do you say – large and obnoxious? Heh, well that’s okay because they’re do come with a huge mirror and they are far more indestructible than MAC’s 4-pan palettes being that they are metal and not cheap plastic. I just wish there was some way they could’ve been similar, but I guess that’s pretty impossible since Stila’s eyeshadows are just have a larger surface area than the other brands I use. The pinhole in the back makes popping out eyeshadows a cinch without accidentally scratching the eyeshadows with your fingernails (ahem MAC!). I guess overall I’m happy with this item from Stila since it allows me to bring a variety of shades with me. I just have to use a bigger make up bag and purse, that’s all!

Hi Ladies, I realy do like the 4 pan compacts. they are just the right purse size and have a mirror for easy application on the go. I am also a fan of Stila's pan eyeshadows so these are great for making up a "look" with 3 shadows and blush os what I often do. The pin holes in the bottem make for easy removal and switching of pans.

I have two of the plastic refillable 4-pan compacts and really like them. They're a nice size and easy to fill and switch pans in. If you're a Stila e/s owner, you need some of these to help protect your shadows.

I love Stila's palettes! I have this and the 8 pan. Being able to pop the pans out from the back makes interchanging easy (I usually use a paperclip to push the pans through). My only problem with this compact is no brush. It is the most portable size but has no travel brush :(. Overall a great palette!

I really do like the Stila 4-pans. They are precious and portable. Like all Stila products, the packaging is really cute. Inside is a large mirror. And each eyeshadow space is magnetized...so the Stila shadows fit snugly and happily inside. I have two of the 4-pans.

LOVE Stila metal palettes. They are sleek, durable, and functional. The full size mirror is the best part. Super easy to get shadows in and out. These beat MAC 4 pans any day.

this is my favorite stila palette/limited edition product. i got it in bronze and the 3 shadows are gorgeous. they all work nicely together, no complaints. it comes with a blush too, but i've found it to be really light, and you have to apply multiple times for some color to show. otherwise, this is perfect, you may as well get it for the packaging alone.

I was absolutely elated when I heard Stila was going to come out with the metal 4pans and do away with the cardboard ones. Inasmuch as I loved the cartoony cardboard ones, I hated how flimsy they were, got dirty so easily and were impossible to clean. I 'accidentally' used one as a coaster for my Banana Strawberry smoothie and the cardboard flap 'bloated'. bah.
NOW, with this new and improved metal one, I can put as many smoothies as I want on top of it and it will stay perfectly A-ok. woohoo. And I love that it's magnetic and it's so much easier to remove the pans. My cardboard ones have many gouges where I used a penknife to try and pry them out. Maybe it's just klutzy ol' me. So I'm super happy with the metal ones and have bought an embarrassing number of them as an expression of my immense satisfaction.

Very cute palette to carry around. Love the Stila gal on the cover. Magnetized and smaller than the metal palette so easier to carry around. It's cardboard but not as flimsy at it sounds. I may not buy it again though.

I have a 4-pan that I put my 2003 anniversary set in and it works well to hold the e/s - I like that they are magnetized already, so you don't have to glue magnetic tape to make the e/s stick.

Not a huge fan of these cardboard pallettes. They are ultra cute but don't travel well. Also, the shadow gets all over them and is impossible to clean. I wish it would have holes in the bottom like the metal pallettes do as I've nicked many of my shadows trying to pry them out. I'm replacing my cardboard pallettes with the new metal 4 pans.

$12 for a 4-pan is a little high, especially when it's made of CARDBOARD! I'm all for recycling and all but things have to be able to survive the jungle of my train case and I really don't think this will. The illustration on the front is super cute, but that just makes me even more concerned about not wanting it to get messed up. One shimmery eyeshadow and it looks messy and old :( It's got magnets that keep it shut..I wish it snapped shut like MAC's. Next time I'll spring for the metal 6 pan I guess. I would love to see some dips like the ones in MAC's 4 pan so I don't have to pry my eyeshadow out...I already went thru that nightmare, getting them out of the case, ummm wasn't the palette supposed to eliminate that problem? Oh well. I feel so organized and like I'm such a space saver now =)

Ooooo, I like my four pans. I have hauled my favorite four pan around the country for three years, (approximately 12 lengthy trips out of state), and it has really held up to the battering luggage can take. It is sturdy enough for me and fits a variety of shadow brands.
The illustrations are too cute and soooo Stila, and something that I appreciate as an artist. I have, in addition, added a mirror to my favorite haul-around-the-country four pan and it has still held up real well.
