I have had this gloss for a while now, but hadn't really appreciated it until recently.
I was wanting a bit of a brighter/red berry look, so I used MAC Redwood l/s and blotted it down to a light red stain, then topped it with just a bit of Greed l/g and it is such a pretty Berry Red lip.
If I added a bit more Greed it would be a hot going out look, but I sort of blended it in more and its definitely wearable for the Office with a light eye and flushed cheeks. Glad I tried it again!

I am glum that this must be discontinued. This was my first MAC purchase, and I was 15 at the time. Since I was younger, it was too bold for me, but now that I am older and wiser, I realize how fabulous it was, and I can't find it now that I am more confident in a brighter color. It was a solid, cranberry color. Also, it was the best smelling lipglass I've ever had. More of a cake batter than vanilla.

Does not feel like any lipglass i have ever tried. Super creamy and not sticky. The color is awesome... like a reddish brown, but very flattering!

I liked this shade for my skin, too bad I can't find it anymore. Did they discontinue the color?

Pretty deep strawberry shade with no glitter or shimmer. I like it on me, but i'm not used to such deep shades. I also like it with something over top to soften if up a little -- the first time i tried it i used Instant Gold, and it looked perfect! Next time i am going to try Be Seen or Spring Bean, and i'll update with what i think after that. So far, i wouldn't buy again, mainly because i'm pretty sure that i'll used it very rarely, and one full sized tube will last me forever!

I love this color. Most of the time i just use a few dots and blend it for a MLBB look but it can also be applied more heavily for drama. It's very pigmented for a gloss, but if you use sparingly and blend it is gorgeous and would work for most everyone. Also, the color fades into a pretty berry colored stain.

I’m absolutely in love with “Greed”, it’s my all time fave red lip color. I don’t wear it often just because I normally go for a nude or YLBB color, but when I want RED, this is what I reach for. On me, “Greed” is a cool-toned berry red with just a bit of brown to keep it from being too much of a screaming red, too garish. It’s a flat red, no shimmer but lots of typical MAC lipglass shine. On me, it’s very similar to “Dubonnet” lipstick, it’s just a touch cooler (a little more berry looking) though. I need a mirror to apply this, it’s just too pigmented for me to risk making a mistake. I also wear it lightly for more of a lip stain look...I just apply a few dots to my lips and smudge. You can also goop this on and wear a red liner for a more vampy, killer red mouth. It also wears away well, leaving a stained look on your lips, not an unsightly mess.
Usual MAC vanillish smell (no taste) and lipglass ultra stickiness. I’d gladly trade ultra-sticky for the phenomenal staying power of the lipglasses. Greed’s pretty red stain stays glued to my lips for hours (and this is coming from a girl who drinks water constantly and bites her lips). Felt tipped wand, which I love.

One of the original lipglasses for the MAC collection. It came out of the 7 sins collection and has kept up to date with the years of makeup. Overall, it's not great but it certainly is bad. I'm a MAC NC30 and this isn't a bad colour for me but it's not my favourite. It's a deep shiny (no shimmer) red brown. It's not entirely a brick colour but maybe a red-brown with a slight berry to it. Like with most lipglasses, it has the vanilla scent and good long lasting quality. This is more pigmented that some of the recent lipglasses out there. It can be gooped on but it does well being sheered out. It's nice but no major wow factor to this one that would say HG.

Pretty berry-red that works very well with my colouring (NC35, black hair & eyes). It looks great as a stain or layered on more heavily so that it's opaque. Nice staying power for a gloss, too; I don't mind the stickiness.

Great lip gloss for day or evening looks (on my coloring.) This is a winey color, with no sparkles. When applied with a light hand, I find this gives me a just-bitten look, perfect for daytime. I apply more freely when I want more glamour, which provides more color and shine. I really like how this one wears off evenly--it just kind of fades out. I'm a PPP with pink/blue undertones and I really like this when I'm wearing warmer toned clothing--or just when I want to warm up my look. I find it to be a very approachable color choice.

first of all i love lipglass...i love the applicator
i have fair skin and a warm blond hair color....when i use this color i have to put a clearish lip gloss or chapstick on first and then just dab on a little bit of the color...(it works without the clear lip gloss too, it is more like a stain though) make sure there isn't much gloss on the applicator first...i have to do it that way because the full pigment of this color is just to much for me....it is pretty but not for everyday....it will last forever just using a few dabs of it...the color is like a clear redish pink on me....i love it

I think the people who are saying this is way too red and too dark are basically just slathering their lips with this. There is such a thing as applying just a little bit and smudging, you know?
This is a gorgeous color. On me it was a very muted red/brown. I slapped a few dots on my upper and lower lips, and smeared it around with my finger. It wound up looking like YLBB, maybe a little bit darker than that.
The person who said it was orange....yeah, I think maybe they were applying a different lipglass, and got mixed up. This couldn't have been less orange to me.
It stayed on, mostly as a stain, through a buffet dinner, several cigarettes and more. Hours later, I can still see the stain.

I thought this color would be more plummy but on my lips but it is reddish. I look awful in red lipstick, gloss, etc., etc. I also thought this would have a bit more sparkle to it, seems like no sparkle at all, just a plain, creamy dark berry that leans toward red.

I am a brown skinned girl with dark brown eyes and hair and I find this to be a very wearable red-safe for the daytime. On me it's a raspberry red that is not too deep. It's not sticky like some other lipglasses and the smell and staying power are great. I like being able to pull off racy colours no matter the time of day so I will defintely repurchase. I have Gitane and I think they are both really good reds but alas since gitane was LE I guess I'll be seeing more of this one.

This color is so wrong for me! dark brown hair/dark brown eyes. It is way too bright and cool(orange). I will not repurchase - I think someone with a lighter hair/eye combo might look better in this!

This is a very deep (almost brick) red gloss. More of a warm-toned red, I think. At least, it doesn't look 'off' on me (PPP-MMM, Asian/golden). Thick and sticky, with the usual staying power that goes along with those traits. No scent or taste that I could detect. I especially like how you can apply just a little bit for a stained look, or a lot for a full-out sexy, vampy pout. The superb pigmentation makes it seem more like a liquid lipstick than a gloss (though it may require a liner for a more precise look). Given the little bit you need for each application, I'd say this is def. worth buying if you're into red lippies.

received this in a swap but would definitely repurchase if i finish this. its a muted red color and though i am wary of reds, this is one of the few that i can wear because its gloss and you can blot to make it look sheer. like the other reviewer said, it lasts for a long time and leaves a pretty stain. NC30, asian, black hair and eyes.

This shade of red is truly unique - a wearable, red-brick (but muted) tone that looks good on my NC35 skintone. I'm usually wary of red shades because it can look quite garish on my full lips, but somehow, this color works on me. I like the fact that this has no shimmer, and the staying power is longer than most lipglasses. It leaves a pretty stain once it has worn off, and it doesn't dry out my lips which is always a plus. I like to pair this with Half Red lip pencil, but even without it, a careful application of this pigmented gloss will do.

Perfect color red for my PPP complexion. You have to be careful with this though, if you layer it too much, too many coats makes it too dark.
