I bought this and the matching conditioner one year before I went to summer camp, the total came out to something like $2, so I figured I had nothing to lose. I had pretty good hair back then, before I chemically straightened it and dyed it, and it did a decent job of keeping it clean and smelling good. While I now think that this shampoo and conditioner are no longer moisturizing enough for my hair, I think that it still would work pretty well for people with good hair. If you're looking for extra strengthening or moisture, you won't find it here. I still love the scent of this product though, it's the best ever and really makes me feel 'awake' in the mornings. It's very citrusy and fresh, without being too sharp or sweet as most fruity scents are. It's simply a great scent. Occasionally, I'll still pick up a bottle of this and use it to clarify since it doesn't deposit moisture or anything, but gets all the gunk out. I also use this as a body wash sometimes too cause it smells so darn good and doesn't dry out my skin. If you have normal-ish hair, pick it up, it's only a buck and if it doesn't work for your hair, you can use it as a body wash, or brush cleanser, or even hand wash. There's a million things you can use this for, so give it a try, and if you haven't noticed yet, I'm IN LOVE with the scent and would buy it if it came in a fragrance form. I do wish it came in a pump bottle though, I don't like the unwieldy bottle it comes in.

As of right now, my hair is still wet, but I'm giving this a 5 based on the smell & the fact that it got the Manic Panic dye stains off my forehead w/o stripping my color. It smells kinda like this old antibiotic I used to have to take when I was like 5. I loved that stuff, it tasted damn good. And this poo & con smells just like it. I'll update when this shit I call hair is dried & I can see the full results. UPDATE: It's a go for this stuff! My hair is shiny, soft, bouncy & it smells like candy necklaces. This stuff rocks. Give it a try if you have damaged/colored hair.

It's not the best shampoo, but the lather is thick and it does leave hair clean. I can name a dozen other shampoos I like better than this, but Suave is so cheap that I want to try all their products and this one was better than average.
