I have naturally curly hair and tried this product while in Ireland and really liked it. I had a small travel size container. I found it in the US and have to agree with the other reviews about the packaging. It is offensively phallic. The smell is also terrible - a very chemical/beauty salon hair product smell- yuck.

If they changed the packaging and especially the smell, I would buy it again.

I have thick, coarse, wavy hair and I thought it would be fun to go wavier. My hair did not curl and it felt like straw. Yuck. I bought a mini squeeze bottle which is hard to get the product out. Double yuck.

For when I want REALLY curly hair I always use this range.Graet product and price and the results are unbeatable.

Wow. I only had the mini bottle, and yes, my cap broke off too.. but I have very fine thin hair and this makes my hair awesome. You can tell when you are washing, that you are washing in thickness so to speak, it felt so good while washing! So lathery!!! And now my usually flat hair is wavy and full of volume.

Ok..someone needs to say something to this man about the packaging. On top of the retarded phallic looking bottle, the screw top is just really inconvenient, esp. when u are in teh shower with your eyes all full of water and your hands all slippery with soap. That said, this shampoo is just awesome. I bought this when I had my perm, and it conrolled the frizz and gave great waves. Then when I sytaightened my hair, it still worked wonders and smoothed my hair and gave great shine. The other thing about this shampoo I really like is that it somehow controls my oily scalp/dry hair problem. Usually, by the next day, my hair is oily and starting to smell not that great (and I mean literally when I get off the bed), but this shampoo controls this problem well into the next day, and the smell, I LOVE the smell, it lingers on. In any case, even if you didn't like the smell, it keeps a freshness smell to your hair and scalp, esp. if you are trying not to shampoo your hair everyday or if you live in very humid weather. This is great stuff. I buy this even when I don't have curly hair as my staple.

The first problem is the packaging - the phallic shaped bottle has a massive long cap that is a pain to twist on and off...the second, and more important thing is that it breaks my skin out horribly. I had been using the shampoo and conditioner for a few days and my hair looked lovely - so shiny and curly! Unfortunately, my scalp, face, neck, back, chest, and upper arms all broke out something awful. I think the shampoo is a little heavy, it made my super thick hair kind of flat at the roots (it takes a lot to make my hair flat, too), but it did boost my curls nicely. However, I will never use this shampoo again...my skin is still disgusting, and it's been almost a week since I stopped using it. It's getting better tho, thank goodness!

wildchipmunk said it perfectly. my hair gets clarified but never frizzy. the conditioner is also great. serious thumbs up!!!

HG shampoo! Smells fantastic, is very thick so you don't need to use a lot, is very moisturizing and made my wavy hair curly. Need I say more?
