I've finally come to the conclusion to never ever buy another face product from Lush, because their body/bath products are what they're best at doing. Oh my goodness I wanted to hate this because of the ridiculous price, but I love it! First of all, I love banana anything, and this smells like banana pudding but it's not overpowering. Most importantly, the consistency is the perfect balance between cream and liquid. It moisturizes really well and sinks in pretty quickly but still leaves a nice sheen. I only wear this at night before I go to bed as I hate moisturizer during the day. I really recommend this, and will for sure be repurchasing!

This cream smells so good, its like vanilla-y and sweet and actually not very banana-y, which is not what i expected. The cream itself is very nice to apply and leaves my skin lovely and soft. its the kind of consistency that would make more sense to put in a pump bottle than a tub but i can still get to the product so no major complaints in that respect. the only real thing i can fault about it is the gross black flakes (which i can only assume is vanilla bean) aren't that pretty smeared all over your body, although once its all soaked in i suppose they fall off or something because i never notice the bits on me during the day. the man who sold me this told me that the high potassium content from the bananas in the cream helps improve blood vessels near the skin - i cant really attest to this since i wouldn't know what to look for to see a difference but if its a concern for you maybe try this out? the tub is pretty small and its pricey, but i just checked and you get just about as much per $ as the large tubs of the body shop body butters (which in my opinion are not as nice - the ones ive tried just make my skin glossy and smell almost fake).

if you're tossing up between sympathy for skin and a body shop cream i would go this any day.

Lovely body lotion!

To me, this smells like cupcake frosting. yummy! I absolutely love the smell!
And the smell lingers plus it's super moisturizing.

Definitely gonna repurchase.

This is by far my favourite lotion from lush!!!!! it smells amazing like a banana vanilla custard so delightful! it is also moisturizing for a thin consistancy lotion i believe this is for dry skin and it definatly is a good lotion for both summer and winter it is light yet moisturizing, if you are sensitive to scents you will like this it goes on really soft and you can smell a hint of vanilla cream on you're body it is really delicate and beautiful! i love it and probably wear it the most out of any lotion i have besides mango from the body shop i just can't help it! it smells delicious and it isn't over powering and can be worn at any time!!!!! Lush came up with a really great lotion for everyone!

I like everything about this body lotion. It smells really nice, and it does a great job at nourishing and softening the skin. The lotion rubs in like a dream and doesn't feel sticky. It leaves my skin feeling super soft for 24 hours easily.

This is good stuff. Quality ingredients, makes my skin soo soft! I love both this and dream cream, i find they perform about the same. So if you like the effects of dream cream but not the scent (personally it doesn't bother me but I know some hate it), give this guy a try. I find that it smells very mildly like vanilla pudding - not strong or overly banana-ey at all. It is a little greasy but sinks in quickly enough.

Sympathy for the Skin has an AMAZING smell. The perfect mix of vanilla/cocoa and bananas. My legs are very dry, especially during the winter, and this lotion is perfect for it! Usually lotion just sits on my skin and doesn't really DO anything, but this lotion quickly absorbs and locks in the moisture. I also put it on my arms and elbows, and just love love love to smell my arms all day. A very great product!!

HG quality. Smells very nice but not overwhelming at all (vanilla/chocolate scent to me, absolutely no banana smell). Easy to spread and you only need a tiny amount, soaks in nicely, and doesn't leave a weird residue or heavy feeling like some lotions. Jar packaging is cute but kind of annoying and unsanitary. Yes, this is expensive ($26) but you use such a small amount that it will last a long time. Love this and will definately repurchase when I run out. It has replaced ALL my body lotions.

I like this product but not for the price. I have been using this moisturizer every day for over a month now.

Good
- smells devine like vanilla and smell lingers all day
- absorbs quickly, very light
- stops most of my skin drying out in the winter

Bad
- don't like the speckles of who-knows-what that float in the cream
- i have really dry knees and elbows. they remain dry even with daily use.
- overall condition of my skin hasn't changed/improved with cream

i have keratosis pilaris and just general unevenness in the skin on my legs. it looks the same today in terms of red marks as it did over a month ago only less dry. i feel like i could get something better that does more to benefit my skin particularly the areas that remain dry.

i will finish the jar but i wont be repurchasing.

I really liked this light body moisturising lotion. Smells nice and light. This really goes nicely after using the butterball bath ballistic as the scents compliment one and other. The only thing I don't like is the small black particles (I think its the vanilla pods) in the lotion which stick to my skin as it kind of looks like dirt!

I was so excited about this lotion. On the website it says it has bananas, cocoa butter, and vanilla. I don't have a lush near me so I went by reviews on youtube. Everyone kept describing it as a banana scented lotion. I ordered it online thinking I was getting a banana scented lotion. I don't smell bananas at all. The scent is very mild. To me it smells like a chocolate shake from McDonalds. It has a hint of chocolate but it mostly smells like milk to me. I have to keep mine in the refirdgerator because I didnt want it to melt or spoil. The consistancy is a little thicker than cool whip. It absorbs into the skin quickly and does give a nice feel to the skin. The smell lasted about 10 minutes on me. The tub is 8.8oz and it was $20. I don't know if I would repurchase. I would recommend smelling this in a Lush store first before purchase. Some people really love this lotion but I was just meh about it.

Like that old saying "You dont know what you had til it's gone", I didnt realize just how great this moisturizer was until I left it for others (including LUSH's Dream Cream which was somewhat lacking). Now that I realize how luxurious it makes my skin, I'm going back to it.

The only Cons are It's expensive & I wish it came in a dispenser. But I admire that the company is Green so I'll swap convenience for eco-friendliness...

Lotions usually don't work on me (for some reason). They just sit on the surface of my skin, then annoyingly transfer to anything I touch (sofa, chair, bed, etc). Sympathy for the Skin actually soaks in!! My skin ABSORBS it! The driest patches are my shins, all the way down to my ankle. I haven't even used this product for a week and I'm already seeing results! No more dry flaky legs! Woohoo!!

I also REALLY love the scent. It's not overwhelming at all. Smells like banana pudding.

I am a huge Lush fan, and I wanted this to work for my dry, eczema-prone skin, but it just fell flat. It's definitely not thick enough for my dry skin, but it smells amazing. It didn't irritate my skin at all, which is a plus. The lotion is silky smooth and isn't heavy after applying and it would work great for those with normal skin. Not for me, but great for others. I'd only buy it again for the smell.

Adore the smell, love the texture and moisturizing abilities. Tub lasts a long while but not exactly thrilled about the container. It smells like vanilla pudding with a pinch of banana. It's nothing like the usual artificial vanilla smell of your typical vanilla cream lotion. Pricey but worth it for me.

I love, love, LOVE this stuff. For a very long time I have suffered from insane post-shaving itchy legs. My legs would itch for days after shaving, to the point where I was considering giving up and become a gorilla (my skin hates depilatory creams, so those aren't an option). At the recommendation of one of my beloved LUSH SAs I tried this stuff, and it is amazing. It does an amazing job moisturizing my legs (and the rest of me), and helps with the itchiness more than any other product I've tried. And I LOVE the smell. It's delicious. It smells just like banana cream pudding. If you don't like the smell of banana cream pudding, you will hate this stuff. A little of this stuff goes a long way, and my skin feels so soft and happy after I use it. Will definitely repurchase again and again and again.

This is a very nice smelling and soothing cream.

I mainly used it as a bodylotion. I feel like it is too light as a hand cream (especially in the colder season) and a bit too heavy as a face cream.

It's very soothing for dry and irritated skin. I'd say it's at least as soothing and moisturising as the Dream Cream of the same brand. It costs slightly less than Dream Cream as well.

If you don't use a lot of it, the amount will last a reasonable amount for the price. If your skin isn't sensitive when it comes to creams, then you might of course do fine with a cheaper cream from the drugstore, but if your skin is sensitive and gets irritated easily, this cream might be a better pick.

Out of all the bodylotions from LUSH that I have tried, I like this one the best. However, it's not a must-have product for me.

Okay, expensive, yes. But I will buy it over and over now that I bought one tub and have tried it. It's light weight yet nourishing. It heals my ecxema patches. My skin loves it! And the scent is very subtle and pleasant. No silicones or heavy things that sit on my skin. I am loving every bit of this lotion :0) I should note that the little vanilla bean specks in it don't desolve when I rub it into my skin. They look like black speckles on my skin. Not obvious enough to bother me but it may bother others.

I bought this online from the Lush UK website just based on the product description. Prior to purchasing, I did not know what it smells like or the consistency, but I am very happy to say that Sympathy for the Skin turned out to be one of my favorite products from my Lush UK haul!

I am in LOVE with the scent. It smells light and delicious like fresh vanilla bean ice cream WITHOUT the typical overly-sweet, cloying, and overwhelming sugary vanilla scent. I don’t smell any bananas but I do love that this lotion contains fresh bananas in it! The consistency of this lotion is very light and runny. It spreads very easily on the skin and absorbs fairly quickly. It still leaves my skin pretty greasy for longer than I would like, so I only use this at bedtime. Since the lotion is pretty runny, I’d prefer if it comes in a pump bottle instead of a jar. The jar packaging also makes it a little unhygienic. I always use a small spatula to scoop out the amount I need instead of dipping my fingers into the jar because I do not want to introduce bacteria into the rest of the lotion. The plus side with the jar packaging is that you get to scoop out every last bit! A little goes a long way, and since I only use this at night I’m expecting this jar of lotion to last me awhile.
