Gardenia. Lily. Jasmine and Muguet. Gardenia's are my all time favorite flowers. Lilies are a close 2nd. You could only imagine what it was like for me to have found and now lost this scent. If anyone can help me find a gorgeous substitute to my all time favorite scent I'd be a very happy woman. I don't care if people call it my Grandma scent. I don't care if I smell like someone's Grandma. This scent reminds me of my most amazing year in my life so far - olfactory memory.

I love this scent so much, I wish that I could still get it all year round instead of just during the semi-annual sale. The regular Gardenia is nothign compared to this.

Oh, I miss this scent so...Lily will always dominate gardenia, I love both flowers but lilies are my favorite. I was hoping this was casablanca lily, but the listing on the back of the lotion says it's lily of the valley. I haven't seen the sprays this year yet, but I'm HOPING that they get it!

i wouldn't repurchase simply because i like actual perfumes better than body splashes. this is a little overpowering and not in a good way because its more lily than it is gardenia. however, it does provide some moisture and i got it on sale so i can't complain. but for gardenia lovers this is not the best way to get the scent

I really like gardenia, but the lily in this ruins it for me. Using it up around the house, but will not repurchase.

I love this scent. I probably wear this fragrance more than any other. I even stocked up on a few bottles because I know Bath and Body Works occasionally discontinue the fragrances I like. Both the Gardenia (which is my favorite flower) and the lily really come through.

I prefered this to the other body sprays. I love this scent, I'll probably buy the lotion and body gel with it so I can smell like it since when I spray it people can't really smell it on me. Great smell though. Very pretty.

Sorry did not like this one so much. The lily overpowered the gardenia and all together seemed a little sour. After drydown it was just kinda fakie smelling....canned flowers.

What: Bath and Body Works Gardenia Lily Body Splash
What it Smells Like: It has the tones of gardenia, lily, jasmine, and muguet. When immediately sprayed on, it smells slightly sour, then downgrades to a crisp, elegant, floral scent. Kinda like fresh cut flowers--I love the smell! When I first sprayed it on, I couldn't stop smelling my wrist. =D
I got this for $5, since there was a 50% off sale at B&BW (apparently Gardenia Lily is being discontinued...) This scent is wonderfully light. May give you a headache if too strong, so I try to just dab a bit on instead of full-out spraying it.

I am a big fan of Gardenia type scents so when I received this as a gift I was delighted!
This scent does not smell cheap and does smell alot like gardenias but not quite. I'm sure it's because of the lily. Lovely fragrance...

I received this a while ago in a ROAK from another MUAer. I'm very happy to have it. At first when sprayed there is a slight sour note to it (which does have an "essence" of dill) and that dissapears rather quickly leaving a warm buttery floral scent with a crisp white floral edge to it. I feel this scent is rather universal and is neither young or old specific. I would deffinately purchase this (if ever we get a B&BW in Canada).

I love how fresh and clean this scent is! However, I compared it to Chanel Gardenia, and they definitely both smell different (in a good way) - it must be the lily. In either case, I can't afford to restock on Chanel every month, so I'll stick with this equally heavenly (and much cheaper) fragrance.

*edit* It's been a couple months, and I'm not surprised that the scent seems to have changed - almost soured, a little bit, so I downgraded this to 4 lippies. If this had been $40 more expensive, I would've been more severe, but for $10 I can afford to let some of the bottle go to waste. It was a great love affair while it lasted.

I love this scent- vey clean and refreshing. However, I wore it to a picnic once, and bees were very attracted to me :( This is one of my favorite bath and body works scents.

White summery floral--on me it smells mostly like gardenia/jasmine.And sometimes, curiously enough, like pickles, right after I spray it. Maybe it's the lily. Who knows. But the sudden pickle onslaught goes away within moments, leaving a pretty scent. I got mine for $5 and I think it'll last a long while [a little goes a long way with this].

I tried this in the store and I liked it, but after I left the store I didn't like it anymore. It smelled different on my wrist for whatever reason.

I happened to run onto this in B&BW the other day and it is now one of my favorites. I love the light, clean scent, and no one else wears it (unlike many of their other scents). I don't think it smells old-ladyish at all, but fresh and "summery". I will be stockying up at their semi-annual sale for sure since I hear rumors that it will be discontinued.

I normally like gardenia scents but, this one smelled like pickles to me. I know it's the Lily that makes it smell off to me and not just a bad batch. And, it is very strong. I normally prefer strong scents but, this one is just too floral to be that strong.
I got it as a gift and hopefully I can exchange it. I don't even want to keep it to be nice. The person who gave it to me will just have to understand.

One whiff of this and all I could think was... "Old lady." I'm not an old lady, so I won't be wearing this one any time soon!
