I've been looking for an eyeliner sealer for a while as I've moved to wearing mostly eyeliner and mascara these days to save time. Ordered this from Zappos, tried it for a couple days (both mixing directly with my eyeshadow and applying on top of eyeliner) and it just didn't work against my oily skin. Obviously, tons of people like this, but I would advise against this if you have oily skin. My liner was still there at the end of the day, don't get me wrong, but it had distinctly faded. Mailed back, going to try MUFE Eye Seal next (if people don't kill me on Black Friday!).

I'm sure I never would have purchased this, but I received it in a swap. Score! This is so simple to use and effective. I love turning my MAC pigments into eyeliners. Only a drop is needed for upper lash lines so this bottle will last for YEARS! I hear Visine works just as well, but I may never find out as this will last indefinitely. Do not apply this to the entire shadow as it will harden the area it touches. Great product.

I am totally in love with this! I used to use Bobbi Brown eye liner gel which is amazing also ( but it gets dry within one year). Now I use this transformer every time, it is waterproof and non irradiated. And it can last forever~ High Recommended!

I am a liquid eyeliner enthusiast, and this has opened up a whole new world to me. I can now make eyeliners out of any shadow I want!!! $20 seems expensive, but this is like buying several dozen eyeliners and this bottle could be considered a lifetime supply. You need less than half a drop for both eyes. It really does wear well, no smudging or fading, and you can get an intense line or a soft line depending on application. All in all, if you like liquid or gel liners, get this stuff. It is awesome.

I have been using this transformer for 13 years and always go back to it. This product does just what you want - creates liners out of your shadows, pressed and/or loose pigments. You only need one tiny drop to successfully line both or even your 3rd eye if you're so inclined.
Given the small amount you need the cost is dirt cheap. I barely have a dent in my original bottle. There is no irritation or itching. It's easy to remove with cleanser yet it manages to maintain the true color of the shadow as a liner for the duration.

I love this product! I can use my eyeshadow and an angle brush and paint on eyeliner that will last all day. I'd been using pencils and smudging them a little, but whatever I put under my eye would always end up smudging too much by the middle of the day. With this, I can line top and bottom and it stays put all day and night. Since you only use a drop or two, the bottle lasts and lasts..

I bought this when my local macy's was having a closeout sale, which was like a year ago. I liked it alot that i went back the next day and boght another one before they were all gone. I believe it was 5 dollars or somewhere around there. I also bought the little brush that you're supposed to use with it, and I love them. I use it mostly with black eyeshadow and it works perfectly. For the price i bought it for, I would buy it again, but not sure if i would buy it at regular price.

I should have read the reviews before buying this. I compared Transformer with Visine and as somebody posted, both products work exactly the same. I sent mine back and kept using Visine. I still use Make up Forever's Eye Seal when I need a waterproof sealer.

Because I am a sucker for WNTW, I went out and bought this after seeing Carmindy use it a few times... and I am not disappointed!

Like many ladies, I have loads of awesome, bright eyeshadows, but I am not about to go out and purchase $200 worth of equally fabulous eye liner in colors I might only wear once or twice. That having been said, Transformer is great, because it really does work (as long as you have an angle brush).

A word of caution: make sure you scrape a bit of shadow into the cap or another surface and THEN add the transformer... otherwise it destroys the top layer of shadow!

I have had this forever! It does make beautiful liners out of my high-pigment shadows (i.e. MAC). The directions say to dispense one or two drops onto the shadow lid, dampen your eyeliner brush a bit, and then glide over the edge of your shadow. One of my shadows has kind of an oily film on it from this product, but I can't remember if I just had too much product on the brush or not. I think the consistency (like water) is great because it is very easy to line with, unlike gel liners (which I also love) that get a little thick, preventing a really precise line that Transformer, or even plain water, would give.

It's a little pricey, but you don't need much product at all, so I guess it's a bargain! I'm not sure if plain water would give the same results as this, but the staying power of transformer + eyeshadow is pretty decent, especially compared to dry shadow alone.

I lent this to my friend who is trying to better her makeup skills, in hopes that this would be easier than MAC fluidlines. I guess we'll have to see!

I bought this at Bendel's here in NY. It's good stuff; but NOT waterproof as they like to imply (the counter person even did a "waterproof" demonstration for which I can't really tell how they pulled off...it still mystifies me!). That's why it only get's three lipsticks. For me this works with most of my favorite shadows and turns them into beautiful liquid liner. It will come off pretty easily if your eyes tear up, or come in contact with water, but it's far superior to just plain water so I still recommend it for fellow liquid liner junkies.

Love love this product! You must buy the brush that is recommended with this product to get the best effect. It turns my ordinary shadows into beautiful liners and seals it very well. No smearing but it is not waterproof. When used with the brush it gives the perfect natural or high impact line. Depends on how much you layer on. This is one of the best makeup creations ever.

Wow, I have to say i'm impressed with this product. I used to just use water - but it didn't really "seal" my line. This product really sets and seals you shadow into a liquid eyeliner. Just be sure to follow the directions on the box before you use it!!!!
5 stars!

This is a great way to change any eyeshadow into eye liner. I have used it for years, the results are always consistent, and it stays all day. Highly recommend!

This is a staple of my home kit and my on set bag. This is the only such product I have used that dries quickly without running and yet doesn't ruin the shadow cake if you use it often. Trish McEvoy's Finish Line is comparable, but will eventually ruin the shadow to where it cannot be used dry anymore ( I suppose this is because its slightly oilier). I prefer this over Visine as well, because of the speed at which it sets. I just plain love it!

This is a staple in my cosmetic bag. It's been a value to me as some eye shadows that I have bought in the past and didn't like as a shadow are great as eyeliner. It gives everything staying power. Good product!

This product is essential for anyone who needs their eyeliner to stay in place. I rated the price 2 for cheap because you need only a half drop. I gave it a 2 for bad packaging quality b/c I always end up dispensing more than I need. Good value though since the bottle is only half way gone after a year. It's key to let this stuff totally dry on your top lid before blinking or it will give you that messed up crease line. Tips: 1) don't ever directly place in e/s or you'll have to scrape off a hard oily thin film that forms on the surface after it dries; 2) make your cheapie eyeliners work better by applying this over them lightly.

For those who already don't know this, Paula Dorf Transformer = La Femme eyeliner sealant = Aromaleigh eyeliner sealant. All three of the eyeliner sealers listed above have the exact same ingredient list (see below) and probably come from the same manufacturer. The only difference seems to be the price. These eyeliner sealers makes your eyeliner last longer than just using water. They are also less "wet" than water and so makes applying cake/shadow liners easier and more goof-proof. I do like the eye drop like packaging this product comes in and use it by placing a drop of the sealer on my hand to dab the brush in rather than placing the sealant directly on the cake/shadow eyeliner. The bottle was smaller than I expected (1/2 oz), but since you only need one drop to do both eyes, it should still last a reasonably long time. I experienced no eye irritation from this product. Ingredient list: water, propylene glycol, polysorbate 80, methylparaben, imidazolidinyl urea, and cellulose gum.
