If you're the type of people who work on your eye makeup first THEN your face, this eyeshadow might be okay for you. But if you are used to doing your face first, then this could be a pain in the a** product. The pigment/glitters fall out like crazy. And in order to really get an intense black, you have to really pack it on. Otherwise, it's just going to be a really dark grey with shimmers. I bought it thinking I will never have to buy another black eyeshadow anymore. Well, I ended up purchasing Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow in Zero because this eyeshadow is too much work and I wanted a more intense black.

This is a basic black with glitter in it. The glitter doesn't show up at all once you apply, but the fallout it horrendous--do your eye make up first so cleanup's not so bad! The texture if soft. The color payoff is okay-it is pretty dark but ends up looking like a blue black and is a little shear. Staying power is okay. All in all, it's a good cheap drugstore black eyeshadow. For the price it's pretty good. If you want a great black eyeshadow the stays put, no fallout, and is really BLACK, keep looking.

Storm is a dark charcoal color with silver shimmer. This is great for creating the perfect smoky eye. It's very pigmented so apply with a light hand. To avoid major fallout, tap the brush against the container before applying.

Read on the makeup board that this was dupe for MAC black tied. So that day in walgreens I saw some for $3.99 (much less than 14.50). And I had been to MAC the previous week and not bought black tied, deciding my bill was high enough. So, I caved, and bought a d/s e/s. Stupid stupid stupid. This crap was so crumbly using it, it is not like MAC one bit. The color is more gray, and all in all the packaging sucked, the product sucked. Ugh - taking it back. Save your pennies, go for the MAC black tied. *sighs*

At first I really hated this product. It was VERY crumbly and went all over my cheeks when I put it on. However, after playing around with it for about a week I have decided that I LOVE this. The trick is, is to put just a tiny amount on your brush and tap the brush before applying. It is so perfect to use as a eyeliner and great to blend in with your other shadows when making that "V" we all love to make. Overall this is a super super pigmented shadow and will continue to purchase in the future. Just be careful with this product as it is extremely delicate!

While I've had a great experience with other Milani eyeshadow (and products in general) I really disliked Storm! It's literally like applying black soot to one's eyes; the pigment got all over my face and was impossible to remove with a makeup remover, let alone dust or tissue off. And while my eyes aren't normally sensitive, this irritated them when I applied it to my lower lash line! The only positive thing I can say about Storm is that I presume it will have great lasting power since it's so difficult to remove. I will not repurchase nor will I ever wear it again. It is certainly not a unique shade and I've had better experiences with others.

Shade Description: Storm is a charcoal black with silver micro glitter. The glitter is more visible when the eyeshadow is applied wet (otherwise, it looks primarily like a sooty black).

VERY pigmented. A itty bitty DAB is enough for me.
Lippies off of the packaging quality, because mine cracked, so there is black everywhere.
This is also a pain sometimes, because it would fall on my cheeks after applying.
This will last me a long long LONG time.

"Storm" is great for a smoky eye. It blends sooo well.
I noticed a bit of fallout on my cheeks but that's nothing a little tissue can't take care of!

This is so crumbly its absurd. I clean up the edges of the pot, and the next day for some reason its everywhere again! But other that that small gripe, its a super pigmented black with silver glitter. try it WET and oh my god, its beautiful. Theres a lot of fallout when I use it so i have to be careful. Its messy, but worth it.

I love this color. It is comparable to MAC Black Tied. It is a shimmery, sparkling true black. My only complaint is that it ALWAYS breaks. I have several of Milani's eyeshadows (Java Bean, Spice)-and none of them have broken-it is ONLY this one. Perhaps the pigment is looser. But otherwise, it's a great color.

I gave this product a 5 even though I have the same complaint as most others- it's a bit too crumbly and soft; I usually have to put a tissue under my eye to catch falling pieces if I'm applying a lot :(

However, the color itself is gorgeous. I love the glitter in it, it keeps it from looking too "goth". Blends beautifully into a smoky eye, works great as a wet or dry liner, and the pigmentation is great as with all Milani's shadows, so the color shows up easily and well. Definitely one of my favorite shadows.

I agree with most of the posts about Milani's storm eyeshadow. It has a really strong pigment and a beatiful irredescent sparkle. It really shows up well on dark skin and it is under 4 dollars. If you are short on cash and can't afford a higher end eyeshadow even if you can give Milani's eyeshadow a try. The only reason I gave it four brushes is because it is a bit dusty.

I love this shadow and how black it is! Storm is soft and easy to blend. I reach for it more often than MAC Carbon. Took off a lippie though because it is too soft ,and therefore, quite crumbly. Also, the lid is hard to open. Still, this is one shadow that I won't be depotting.

I have both Mac Black Tied and Milani Storm (both are black shadows with silver sparkles), and I prefer Storm anyday. It's much more intense and pigmented - perfect for a smokey eye. I tried this wet as a liner, oddly the colour looked lighter - more like gunmetal - when used wet. As with all MIlani eyeshadows, the packaging is horrible, but they are easy to depot into a Mac quad.

Had to change my contacts after this one. Glitter got stuck to them. Smudged under eyes. don't waste your money on this one. Urban decay has eyeshadow of the same color but the quality is 100 times better.

I love the color and it does its job. The only complaint I have, which many others do to, is that it is soft and crumbly. I have to set it away from my other shadows to avoid a mess in my makeup drawer. Other than that I would buy again.

I really like Milani's packaging. The pans are the same size as MAC so you can depot it into a MAC palette, but if you choose to keep it in the pot, it's more sleek than MAC e/s packaging and therefore won't take up as much space in your stash. As far as quality, the ones I've tried have been fantastic. Very pigmented, staying power that rivals MAC and they have some really awesome shades. This one is a true black with a bit of silver microglitter. Love it, it's such a basic color with a little twist. Would repurchase.

my fav among my teeny weeny milani loots. highly pigmented & easy to blend. however, it crumbles easily hence i have to be extra careful with my application so that i won't end up with black speckles on my face. it's better than mac black tied in terms of colour payoff, texture & price.

A great basic shade for most makeup collections, black laced with silver glitter. I wanted to try it as a liner and as others have said, it's crumbly, soft, and messy. There's a lot of fall out when I apply, even with a dampened brush. It doesn't like to stay put and doesn't blend so well. I ended up getting Mac Black Tied and it's exactly what I wanted Storm to be. Much better texture and shimmer.
