Well, I bought this as my serum because I didn't want to shell out the crazy money for the La Mer regenerating serum. This is a great serum, really moisturizing and the price is reasonable (especially compared to the La Mer serums, which are beautiful, but super pricey). A mmust have in the winter if you have dry skin, or a stand-alone moisturizer in the summer months.
I wish it was fragrance free or at least less scented, but for the overall value and effectiveness I really shouldn't complain.

I used to be a die hard EL user years back, but now, I only use this brand occasionally. This being said, if you want a wonderful introduction to the EL line, TRY THIS PRODUCT. It's supposed to be an "add on" to your normal moisturizer, but in warmer months, and for travel, it's great to use alone. It's a thick serum that gives your skin a wonderful silky feel with some firming toning action. A little goes a long, long, long way -- you won't be disappointed. And kudos to Laszlo for now providing ingredients listings for all their products! Nothing to hide I guess.

This serum really made a difference in my skin, probably because it added needed moisture to the deeper layers of my dry/verydry and sensitive skin. After only one use I could see and feel that my skin no longer felt dehydrated. I use it twice a day, under my moisturizers.

I like that it comes in a closed container with a pump type dispenser top. This is sanitary and keeps antioxidants stable. The container is reusable.

This product is now called Hydra-Therapy Skin Revitalizer

This is a great product to add extra hydration to your skin. I find it particularly useful in the Winter months when the cold outside and the heat inside dries me out terribly. This has a very good slip to it, you don't need much at all. I use it after serum and before moisturizer as an added step when needed. I don't use it daily, just when I'm feeling dehydrated. The Hyaluronic Acid helps bind and hold water in the skin. A far better choice than YSL's Absolute Hydration or Chanel's Hydramax+ Serum. It's an older Laszlo product, but it remains in the line and for good reason. I use about 1-2 bottles a year. Try it!

First hour: smooth, hydrating, sinks into skin. Several hours later (in combination with tried-and-true moisturizer): a familiar feeling, like many Si+glycol-based products give - my skin feels dry, tight.. just odd. As though dry from inside-out. By day 3 I'd stopped. I know glycol is penetrating and silicones occlusive, but together these give irritated, pinkish, dry (ironically) skin. To compare ingredients with Orlane's B21 serum (which I like) Erno Laszlo TSR: water, silicone derivative, glycol, soybean oil, [filler, filler etc], hyaluronic acid. Orlane B21 serum: water, soybean protein, glycol, [filler, filler], hydrolyzed wheat protein, [filler], panthenol, soybean extract, [filler etc], hyaluronic acid and various extracts. Similar formulations, though TSR has 2 decent ingredients to Orlane's 5+, and TSR's are further down the list. Also, TSR combines Si and glycol, which for me is unwearable. I sent it back.

This stuff is magic for dry or lifeless skin! There is no other product in this or any line I've tried that comes close. Although it is an extra step (between toner and moisture), it is more than worth it if you have dry skin, or just skin that isn't as nice as it could be. Try it for a week, or even a day, and you'll be hooked!
