I bought this product as an exfoliator before my spray tan and since you can't apply deodorant or lotion before you tan, I find this to be great because after you wash it off it leaves the skin extremely soft and silky. The smell is amazzzzzing. The price, eh. But it's a great product that will last awhile because you shouldn't exfoliate but once a week. Def will repurchase.

I have been using this product for a little while now, I first came across this scrub when I received a bodyshop mango gift box as a present and the scrub was one of the products that came with it.

Good points: this scrub is particularly good if you have any areas of dry skin, it leaves skin unbelievably soft. I quite like using this product after shaving my legs as it makes your legs feel fantastic.

The smell is lovely (however if you don't like mangoes this would be a bad point :), )

It is very grainy (some cheaper scrubs don't have much 'bits' in them and don't seem to exfoliate as well)

Bad points: for being a scrub I find it quite pricey, so I tend to wait till they have offers on it, usually after Christmas they seem to be half price so stock up then :)

Overall it is a good product and I will continue to use it,

Smells nice & feels nice going on it the shower. However the greasy film it left behind on my skin is noooot worth it! I think my skin feels soft underneath the grease but it's hard to tell. I rinsed off in the shower for almost 10mins & still feel greasy. Not to mention after getting out of the shower little pieces of lint, hair etc are all sticking to my skin. Definitely will not repurchase!

Smells fruity and not overly sweet or fake. The scent isn't strong when you unscrew the lid and it looks like mango puree when you look at it. I believe the exfoliating part is sugar so I use this before I shower and scrub it on my skin when its dry. When you rinse this off you will notice your skin is a bit greasy and film like so some people might not like that feel. It kind of bothered me at first but I got used to it. Just make sure to rinse off your shower because the next person that gets in that shower might slip. No joke. The best part I liked about this was that when I dried off, my skin felt super soft and I didn't even need to apply body lotion like I normally do every time I get out of the shower. I got this during a sale at the body shop and even though I put I would purchase this again, its rather a maybe instead. I like the tree hut Brazil nut scrub hands down, but I like this because its super moisturizing. I purchased this during a sale at the body shop, and the next time I go in I might try another body scrub but probably a different scent.

LOVE this body scrub! It smells great, and really gives the body a great cleanse. It is pricey, I would love to find a drugstore dupe for this. It does leave an oily film on the skin, however it doesn't bother me. I hope the Body Shop comes out with more scents.

I really love this sugar-based scrub because it smells fruity and fresh. The scent reminds me of peach ice tea! It exfoliates well and moisturises too (it leaves a slight oily residue on the skin) so it's good for dry to very dry skin types. The excess oil can be towelled off and leaves your skin super soft. I particularly like that the mango fragrance lingers on the skin. I do think it's expensive for a scrub but I always pick up TBS products on sale as they constantly have web promotions and special offers in store.

This is a salt (or is it sugar) scrub which means it melts on your wet body, leaving you with nothing to scrub with. The main reason why I prefer something with exfoliating beads or crushed shells that won't melt into nothingness. Another down side is that this scrub is super oily, it leaves a greasy film, and although it might feel moisturizing to some but I really don't like it, I usually have to use soap to wash it off again. The mango scent is divine though, just like the body butter, it's super fruity and pleasant. Good for very dry skin as it advertises, but for normal/dry skin it's a bit too much.

I have normal skin, but decided to buy this knowing that it was for very dry skin. I'm glad I did. It's extremely moisturizing and I don't even have to apply lotion afterwards. I usually get in the shower for about 5 minutes, get out and apply this on my legs/arms/butt, then jump back in the shower. (the heat from the shower will melt the exfoliate). It smells great too.

A great product. No bath or shower is without this anymore. It lasts a long time and is excellent. The smell is fantastic and the finish is brilliant I cannot sing this products praises enough.

Used with exfoliating gloves it takes off dirt you didnt even know you had and I use this every other day. It is very rough so do not use on the face but legs and arms is great for. I am sure it would give you the perfect base for tanning, I do not know this as I haven't used this before tanning.

Love this product and when i do eventually run out I will be buying it again as it is worth the money!

It's a bit rough, so I only use this on my shoulders, upper back, elbows, knees and feet at the end of my shower. It softens and moisturizes my skin really well. I really love it as a foot scrub. I feel its a lil price for the amount of product u get, but i only use it about 1 to 2 times a week, so it last for a few months making i worth the price. I also use the mango body butter with it. So the combination of the two helps keep my skin really soft during the harsh winter weather.

I tried this many years ago and was not impressed as it left an oly film on the skin which does make sense as it is for dry skin. However i think they have chnaged the formula and now you do not get that but i do love it good scrub just wish the beads were bigger but i do use it all the time.

Firstly the mango scent is really nice, but unfortunately the sent does not linger on (for me at least) , unless you layer with other TBS mango products like the body butter.
I buy this in singapore and it is really expensive.(S$30), but luckily i bought this half price during a sale.
It is oil based and catered for very dry skin, i have normal skin, but i wanted the hydrated look. when i use this in the shower my skin feel very hydrated, but after i have dried off, my skin tends to feel leathery. but there is a beautiful glow to my skin.
TIP: use this as a dry scrub ( meaning you skin must be dry), and wash off after, i actually liked how my skin felt after.

Wow, the scent is just amazing! And not just on me- after my shower, the whole bathroom smells fantastic :) It really smoothes out my skin and makes it lovely and soft. I did take off one star because of the oily residue, but overall, I'm quite happy with this product!

DO NOT BE DAUNTED BY ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BELOW ME.
I experienced the exact same thing as everyone else that hated this product has, and I'm going to say WHY this negative aspect is actually a benefit.
First off, I purchased this scrub for $8.50 during their buy 2 get 1 free sale (it's now been reduced from $18 to $10 - I'd grab it while I still can!)
Second, a lot of people on MUA have been saying this scrub leaves a weird, oily film on their skin after using it. This is very true. But if those people could seriously take into account that this scrub is for VERY OIL SKIN (it says right there on the packaging on the very top of the lid).

When you use the scrub in the shower, yes, it does feel oily and gross. But when I towelled myself dry today (I used it for the first time after buying it yesterday), I found that my skin felt rich and hydrated. I didn't even bother to moisturize after using it.

The scrub does everything it says it would. It left my skin feeling smooth, soft, and a bonus point is that I don't even feel the need to moisturize after.

So don't be scared to buy it and try it out - it's not as terrible as everyone is making it out to be. One thing I wish it did was leave the lingering smell of mangoes on my skin after I'm done my shower (but realistically, no shower gels or scrubs leave the nice smell for longer than 5 minutes.)

it leaves an oily film on my body after washing it off, so usually, i'll just use this first, and then a shower foam after that. i think the oily feeling is supposed to be the moisturising part, but its quite redundant eventually because i believe i have removed its moisturising properties by using another shower foam.. =/

i like the smell though, the scrub melts really fast, and i doubt i've cleansed my body clean with just this. i think it's salt that they incorporated in. Plus, the constant digging for the scrub in the container doesn't seem so hygienic.. would definitely prefer if it came in a tube or something?

i will not repurchase this, there are many better ones from TBS!

How come most folks un MUA don't like this scrub? It's really good and I always carry it along with me when I go swimming twice a week. The best part of this Mango scrub is that it scrubs really well and the grains dissolve on the body after a while which moisturizes my skin. That being said, I never have to bring a body moisturizer when I have this 'cause the fruit oils in this scrub leaves my body soft and with a delightful sheen.

Only issue is that it's a little expensive but it doubles as a moisturizer when in a hurry so never mind the price.

If you leave the water running in the shower when you use this scrub, there's a risk water will enter the tub so turn the water off or place the tub at a distance, nemas problemas!

I alternate the mango one with the olive, both are equally awesome.

I live in a humid climate, and bought this as it the packaging says this is for very dry skin. My skin is snakelike and flaky, so i thought this would be perfect. But NO, this leaves a very yucky, unclean feeling after, and i cant seem to wash it away.
Plus, when I try to scrub, the granules always disappear into my skin too quickly. I prefer their pink grapefruit body scrub and spa wisdom salt scrub.

I gave it a three star instead of just one because this might actually work for someone else..

I like the scent, I don't mind the lingering scent at all. However it leaves behind an oily feeling. And it's not the same kind of oil left behind, as if you would have when you use their Body Butter?

The scrub was a bit like sugar granules, (versus the creamy ones like Coconut) and it was very harsh against my skin.

I did like using it on my legs though!
