I have to say that I do not really care for the BE foundations because they are really sheer and not durable on oily skin. I was pleased to find this a better alternative because it covers well and it does last on my oily skin. The shade is pretty great in that it is not that yellow and it is not that beige. It is very close to my NC30 shade, except MAC's NC30 seems to be a bit yellower than my own skin. All and all, for those who have oily skin, I do not recommend BE foundations even in matte. This is a much better product. Update: This has been great for my skin. I have slept with this on my face and nothing has happened to my skin. HG material!

I also found it too drying, the product settled into lines I didn't know I had. Not a good look

I bought this after watching EmilyNoel's YouTube review about it and suggested it's also a great product to get the most out of one's other not-so-great under eye concealers. I think you have to have the right skin texture for this product to work. I found it to be drying, and would actually accentuate the wrinkles under my eye. The color matches fine, but I just didn't like how dry it made the skin around my eyes look.

Absolutely lovely product and amazingly useful for all sorts of minor blemishes (I use it for acne scars). I didn't even know powders could WORK as a good concealer until I got this particular one from ULTA. A minor con would be that this shade is a liiiittle too cool for my super beige skin but it's their yellowest one, so I guess I'm stuck with it. On the other hand, I layer a very yellow mineral foundation powder over it, so it doesn't really matter. It really helps to give that airbrushed look if you mix it with another powder foundation! :)

So I bought this for the summer time. I wanted to go to the beach and look natural and I also liked how this had spf 20. I feel like it covered pretty well. The container did make a mess and there wasn't a lot of product in there but overall it was pretty good. I only gave this 4 stars though because I got sun poisoning while wearing this...

i been using summer bisque for a while now. and it works wonderfully!. im kind of a golden medium/tan. i dnt know. well im light. it works really well. as a concealer. it work pretty good under my eyes. i have really bad dark circles. nd they brighten that area very well. i learned that for an under eye concealer u dnt cover your whole eye!. u just cover that circle. u just put it on ur shadows. nd it brightens it very well. its kind of un noticeable.i will absolutely buy it again!

I bought this because I liked the BE foundation and wanted to try their mineral concealer. Keep in mind it was at least 2+ years ago when I bought this, so I'm not sure if they came out with more shades of this concealer, but at that time there wasn't a darker color. This was too light for my NC35 complexion, and when I used their brush to apply, I had to layer like crazy to get any coverage, and it's not like they give you a whole lot in that little container- at least for me to keep layering so much each time. So for coverage, shade-matching, and overall appearance, this did not work for me. Maybe to dust on as a finishing powder over spots, ok, but I can use other stuff for that. I find the EDM intensive tan concealer to to be much better. Perhaps using a different brush would have been better, or using it for something other as a finishing powder, as others have written, would yield different results.

I really love this for evening out my skin tone and the SPF.
If I could have it do one thing a little better I woud wish that it would conrtol the oilies a little bit more.
However, all in all I really like this as a powder foundation and will be taking it to Thailand as my only foundation!

Great concealer although I usually use this as an eyeshadow as I use my foundation as a concealer.
This has lasted me a really long time!
I recommend this!

I actually wear this concealer as a foundation b/c it matches my skintone perfectly (the fairly light is too light & the light is way too yellow). I wear this on the days I'm not working & want a lighter, more natural look. My husband really likes this stuff on me b/c it doesn't look like I have any makeup on (he hates makeup~ha). It does a nice job at evening out the skintone but is a PAIN IN THE BUTT to apply. It gets everywhere & I have to put it on standing next to a window b/c too much of this stuff really looks cakey (that goes for the Fairly Light as well). This stuff def. requires a very light hand. I also never put it all over my entire face, just usually on my cheeks, nose & chin b/c it WILL settle into every line I have on my face. Overall though, I really like it for the days I want to look nice, but don't want to wear a lot of makeup. I will prob. continue to buy this stuff. I don't think the price is too bad b/c it lasts FOREVER :)

I really love this concealer, it's the perfect color and really covers up your imperfections without looking heavy. The only reason I took one lippie off is because you get such a tiny amount for the price. It's even worse that the BE foundation. But i love the product.

EDIT: although BE will always have my heart I have been converted to Everyday Minerals due to the great quality and price (so affordable!). please read my review. I am not removing a lippie bc I feel BE was a good stepping stone which lead me to take better care of my skin. goodluck!
i use this for an all over foundation even though it is marketed as concealer bc it has more pink in it than the BE foundations. this foundation fits into my oil free gentle skin care requirement for my acne prone sensitive skin and my skin has cleared up and keeps getting better (along with the new BE Rare Minerals Blemish treatment). i still have to use a cream concealer under my eyes which i set with bisque by lightly tapping over with the concealer brush and it still looks natural. also to get more all over coverage i use a sephora foundation brush (looks like a larger version of BE concealer brush) and then buff and blend with my Everyday Minerals Flat Top brush (so soft and wonderful $6!!) no masked look near the jawline. i can wear this in the dead of winter over mineral veil which i use as a primer. (and i then set my foundation with a light mist of evian spray for a creamy finish)
i am normally the medium shade (medium is less yellow) and can get away with using summer bisque all over in the winter months :)
*my advice to everyone is to spray brushes or puffs with brush cleaner after each use (sephora brand makes a decent priced cleaner) and every 2 weeks hand wash brushes with soap and water to dissolve dirt and oil and also clean out those lids that your mixing in. this rids of bacteria and oil to help prevent break outs or strange skin reactions.

I love Summer Bisque. I use Everyday Minerals in medium more since it is cheaper, but I cannot help but love the original. It covers well. I have acne and old acne scars I like to cover and this and that brush is fantastic. I really love the brush. It is absolutely perfect for the product. I wish it was cheaper, but a little goes a long way. This lasts me for months and I would use it everyday. If I had to, I would buy it again. I have gone through a few of these already because I could not find another concealer that would work like this product. But since EM, I pay half the price.

Well. I wondered if the tales of hideous bumps were just a few rare insensitivies. My skin looked great in this stuff. For about a month. Then one day at work I was hot and sweating in my office and the stuff started to burn. The next three days saw deep, cystic bumps of the kind I *never* get appear on my forehead (where I was sweating the most) and around my mouth. My skin is still in shock and I have had to go back to a very basic triage position with makeup. Just a little moisturizer and a dusting of powder and my skin still feels unhappy. So try this at your own risk. VERY irritating. Looks great. Wears great. Wear it only once in the while or you too could get monster bumps. If it's too good to be true (make-up that's good for your skin) then it is.

UPDATE (11/07/07): Sadly, I've concluded that this is causing a SD flare up. I've systematically elimnated any other potential culprit. And my face continues to be annoyed and even burns a bit upon application. Needless to say, I won't be repurchasing.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: So I've finally found a replacement for my beloved JI Pure Pressed which has been reformulated and ruined IMO. This concealer works beautifully for someone like me who would wear BE's #2 light or is a MAC C3/NC30.
The finish is matte and doesn't get shiny like the regular BE MMU. I don't use a brush to apply but I've been using a LM velour puff. The finish is lovely. The best part is that this contains 20% zinc oxide + 20% titanium dioxide. So the boost in sun protection is a nice bonus.

I use this more as a foundation than a concealer, and I like it. It gives a nice, soft finish, and good coverage. You can also control how much coverage you want by layering or not. Staying power is so-so depending on the weather & humidity.

I thought this would be too dark for my light skin, but I was wrong. I didn't care for the mineral makeup (itched), but I really like this. It covers well, blends right in, and matches great. I've repurchased this in the past, but since moved on to a different brand I like even more.

For me, Summer Bisque concealer is a must. One of the things that makes bare minerals so good is that it is light and goes on sheer...but there are people like me who need the extra coverage -- and this is it! I wouldn't love the Bare Escentuals bare minerals foundation as much without it.
