Would I buy this product again? No. However, I can say that if you have hair like a little girl- perfect, no damage, no color, doesnt ever get super oily or dry... this shampoo and conditioner would work fine! Unfortunately, us women have hair that is colored, has some heat damage to an extent, we have a big full head of hair that needs a good wash to fit our needs of being dry, oily, color treated, curly hair, damaged hair... The ONLY thing this set does really well- is make my hair smell amazing. I love the smell of this duo, unfortunetly it just doesnt meet my hairs needs and does not give it a good wash and co dition properly. This is sad too because I love some of biosilks other products and I wanted to use the entire line together. Oh well. Maybe they will get the hint and re-structure and re-formulate this shampoo and conditioner duo, until then, I will not be re-buying either of them.

I cannot believe all the bad reviews!! This is my HG shampoo!! It lathers amazingly well, it cleans without overdrying, it leaves no build up whatsoever, and my hair loves the silk ingredient in it. It's all I need from a shampoo! Ironically though, I absolutely hated the matching conditioner (my hair hates protein, and the conditioner has lots).

This shampoo did nothing for me. I have very oily hair/scalp and this did not help the problem.

Terrible shampoo. What the other negative reviews say is completely true. I used this product because I had used the serum before and liked that so thought the shampoo would be ok. Big mistake! I typically use pureology and aveda shampoo and my hair is normally healthy, shiney and has hardly any split ends. 1 month of this shampoo and my hair is destroyed: dry, brittle and I've never had more split ends in my life. Wish I had realized earlier what it was doing to my hair!

I will NEVER touch another Biosilk product!!! I used the shampoo and conditioner combo and my hair hated me for it. After using the shampoo, my hair felt dry and tangled - it was a MESS, and that was while I was in the shower. Applying the conditioner did little to help in comparison to my Nexxus Humectress (old formula), as well. This shampoo is awful. The scent isn't that great, it does nothing but dry out my hair, and I'd rather throw it away than ever use it again, even if I paid for the product. God awful.

Where do I start? I purchased a set of the silk therapy shampoo, the conditioner and the "serum" silk therapy. I had used the serum stuff some years ago. Way back. It was pretty decent back then so I figured "what the heck"? What a dumb mistake on my part. I should have been wary because the three-product set was so inexpensive.
After I shampooed my hair, it felt kind of dry--and my hair was wet! I put the conditioner in and it did nothing. When I started to style my hair, the serum also left my hair dry. Three products = straw hair. How ironic is that? The name of this stuff should be Straw Therapy.
I asked my daughter if she wanted it because her hair is in much better shape than mine. She laughed and said now way would she use it. In the garbage it went!

I can easily say that this is the worst shampoo I have ever put on my hair. There are no words really. The texture was horrible. It didn't smell good and it did not "clean" my hair, it spun my strands into brittle straw actually. Horrid to say the least. I cannot believe someone is selling this and calling it shampoo, it almost seemed like a joke was being played on me. DO NOT BUY.

I am 5'10 and have hair that is about an inch from my waistband of my jeans. It is naturally a bit wavy, tends to be dry on the ends and embarrassingly oily at the scalp. I have bangs that are side swept and wear the length straight. When I am at work, I have to have my hair up and generally wear it in a bun or french roll with a clip of some sort. I struggle with static. This shampoo/conditioner/serum has cured all my hair woes. I can actually go a day without shampooing my hair and face the public without a hat! I can put a stocking cap on to walk the dog, take the hat off and not look like a science project about electricity. My hair is easy to brush, I can even use my fancy boar bristle paddle brush without looking like the bride of Frankenstein. I have eczema in my scalp, this has halted the "dandruff" that creates. I use a tourmaline wet to dry hair straightener or a tourmaline hairdryer to style my hair and no longer fight with tangles and limp hair. I work as a nurse, and have to be careful about scents and often get told that my hair smells good, and have had no complaints of the product's fragrance. I happen to enjoy the "clean" smell it has. Highly recommend this product. A local store carries the packages of 12 oz shampoo/conditioner/serum packs for 25 bucks. I seek out the 30% of coupons that they run to "stock up" on this product. Barely need to use any of the product to clean my hair, a 12 oz container lasts a long time for me. The shampoo does get a bit difficult to get out of the bottom of the bottle as you near the "emptier" stage. I am sooo happy that a patient of mine suggested this product to me. I am hooked.

this is the only shampoo that makes my hair soft, without tangling it.. my hair normally can't handle shampoo, but this is an exception..

though I HATE the conditioner of this line, this shampoo is HEAVENLY, and the scent is amazing! like the biosilk serum!

Its like they purposely intend to make your hair drying by using this shampoo just so that the biosilk serum would seem to work. This shampoo is crap, along with the conditioner. My hair feels dry and brittle after just one use.

Very smelly shampoo, makes your hair smell like a mens' barber shop all day. Not very feminine at all. Doesn't clean really well either, left my scalp feeling greasy and my hair limp.

This shampoo, like the conditioner that accompanies it, is terrible. It doesn't lather well and leaves my hair feeling dry and dull. The smell is not good either. Will never repurchase.

I didn't like that it didn't lather well. I don't really notice a difference in shampoos, and didn't notice anything good or bad in this one, besides it didn't lather well. Smelled good though. Nice easy to grip bottle thats why it got 3 lippies.

Wow, I didn't expect so many bad reviews on this! I got a huge bottle of this from TJ Maxx for $15 or $17? Maybe less, can't remember and I'm too comfy right now to get up and look, but I think it was a pretty sweet deal. It smells nice, but it's very strong and the scent does stick around all day. I've been using it maybe 4 times a week with Fekkai glossing conditioner (also from TJ Maxx for $12ish) and my hair is thanking me...I won't say this is the best shampoo ever, because I'm sure it's not, but I usually use cheapo d/s shampoos & conditioners, so this is a step up for me. I'm becoming a product whore, slowly but surely. My hair is MUCH softer and shinier than it was when I was using Garnier's sleek & shine s & c, I can tell a definite difference since I started using this. My hair was fried, and this has helped a lot. I'm still looking for my HG shampoo and conditioner, but for now this will do until I can afford to be the product whore that I aspire to be.

Also...the bottle SUCKS. I did get the biggest bottle, but it's not easy to squeeze, very awkward and it takes longer than I'd like to get the right amount out.

I love this stuff. I got a deal on mine, it was on sale for cheap. Will get my money's worth! Will I buy again? hm, good question. Only if its not full price, because for some reason this stuff is expensive.

Wow! I, too, am surprised by the poor reviews of this product. I love it!! I'm sure hair type makes a big difference in what product will work for a particular person, so fyi, I have fine brunette hair that I've been coloring at home for oh, around four years now. I have a lot of hair, though, and a little bit of natural wave. Since I've started coloring, my hair tends to be on the dry side, but with an oily scalp.
I think the smell is wonderful, and I really like that it does, indeed, hang around for most of the day. I use the conditioner also. I love the clean smell, and I've actually had people comment about how good I smell - I don't wear perfume, and I know they were talking about my hair.
After just the first use, I noticed immediately how much softer and more manageable my hair was. The blow drying process was so much easier. My hair just looks so healthy, and styling is a breeze. It helps keep flyaways down, and smooths out split ends. My hair looks like shiny glass, I just love it.
I agree with another poster that the bottle is hard to squeeze after the first few uses. It's definitely more expensive than a drugstore product but I purchase this at Nordstrom Rack for about $10. I can get by with using a lot less than, say, Pantene or Garnier Fructis, so it lasts a while. I think I even would go so far to say as this is an HG product for me!

Okay, I love this stuff. Its a good shampoo for all hair types, and it leaves my hair feeling soft, looking shiny and healthy, and just overall great. It doesnt make my hair slippery like a lot of shampoos make it so that i can't tie it back into a ponytail without having a trillion fly-aways. My hair looks great when I use this. I often straighten my hair after showering, and this shampoo keeps my hair really nice and healthy despite the damage im causing it. It smells nice too, very salon-ish. I can't believe the bad reviews here. I think this shampoo is fantastic. My only problem with it, is the bottle, is kind of hard to squeeze, but not really. Its a really funky shape and looks super cool. I use this with the conditioner, and it works WONDERS. I, however, don't like using biosilk products other than the shampoo + conditioner because they seem a little bit heavy for me. But this shampoo and conditioner are AMAAZINNG!! I like them better than the smoothing line which makes my hair feel a little bit to silky to manage, even if I do straighten a lot.

100% average. i bought this after reading the back of the bottle. unfortunately, i didnt check MUA first. for one, i think i got an expired bottle, but the smell is just ... BLECH! what the hell is that smell? smells like an old bottle of cheap white rain hair spray. ugh. and it dont go away either. but besides that, my hair actually feels very clean and nice. not any more tangles than usual. makes my hair sort of volumized. but i could compare this to suave. and i paid way way more for this than suave. my endless hunt for an out of this world shampoo continues. after i try kerastase (which is next) i might just give up and stick with suave and nexxus, and maybe this one, which are the best ive tried so far. go figure.

oh. not to mention the packaging looks cheap as hell.

Wow, I'm very surprised to see all the bad reviews here. I tried so many other shampoos, salon and drug store brand alike and NOTHING works as good as this one. This shampoo cleans my hair perfectly without stripping it dry. I have dry, naturally wavy hair and all the other shampoo dry my hair and make it puffy like crazy. This is the best thing I've tried so far. The only thing is it's pretty expensive so I try to get it at TJ Maxx.
