Blue Moon Lagoon is from the long discontinued Summer For Shore collection. The Summer for Shore polishes, including BML, are very peculiar for their pearl/holo combination finish. It is a blueish green in the shade, holo outdoors in direct sun, which brings out the blue in the polish. This is a subtle linear holo, it does not have the fine, scattered particles that the DS's have.

This is a very sheer polish, so you will need underwear or at least three coats. It is fairly easy to apply, as it has the non-B3F formula. I have a back-up bottle, which I regret, mostly because I know I probably will never use the back-up. This is a lovely and very unusual shade, though, so if I ran out I would probably be happy about the back-up.

This nail polish in general is sheer, but two coats of this will give you a good color. It has tiny, tiny micro glitters in it that gives a rainbow effect to it when it hits light, the color itself also reminds me of a mermaid's tail. The works on ANY skin tone and color, cool or warm, pale or dark, any. Although I thought it would look better with cool skin tone, I tried it on my warm skin and it looks fine! :]

Blue Moon Lagoon is a very old color. The color itself is kind of aqua color with hologram and lots of microglitter/shimmer. The finishing is very smooth. I agree, if you want to get the actually bottle color, you need to put at least 3 - 4 coats but I think it's worth it. The drying power is very good and quick.

Since the color itself is aqua, I find that it contrast my skin tone too much and doesn't do any compliments. I think it's a good every now and then color but I won't wear it everyday. This color will suit people with cool, lighter skin tone though. Because I don't see I will wear this color very often, I won't repurchase this color again.

Blue Moon Lagoon is from the d/c Summer for Shore series. OPI 'S best ever IMO.
I bought it on an auction site.(starts with and E ends with a Y) This is a medium intensity aqua-marine hue, with a gorgeous rainbow hologram effect and multi-color micro shimmer. I felt like diving into the bottle!.. This is my second in the Fabulous S4S line. Crim-sun is my favorite . BML is sheer and took me 3 coats to acheive bottle color. Despite the extra coats the wear was above average just like Crim-sun. If you can find it dive in!

Beautiful "mermaid" green (per my husband) with definite blue undertones. Actually, it really depends on the lighting because in some lights it is a definite blue. This has lots of fine holographic shimmer reflecting pinks, golds, blues, yellows, & oranges. However, you have to be in quite bright light for the holo to really show. In my average winter house lights it looks straight blue. Once the light is brigher or in direct sunlight you can see just how beautiful this polish can be. The texture and consistency are nice and it applied smoothly without running or clumping. It is quite sheer so I used 3 coats and this gave me decent coverage. This is also a very nice polish to use for layering over other colors. This comes in the standard OPI bottle with the standard OPI brush applicator. Initially this polish started out at the regular OPI retail but since it is now considered HTF (hard to find) it is somewhat more costly. Fortunately for me I got a RAOK from one of the ladies on the nail board for the bottle I have. However, I like it so well I would seek it out at a higher than retail price. I would definitely want another bottle should I ever run out. (***Kicked off a lippie due to the sheer nature of this polish.)

Okay, first off, I usually hate sheers. This is the exception to that rule. I usually wear only one or two coats when I put it on, and I actually love the way it glimmers subtly. The holo is there if you're looking, but if you're not it's just a pretty sheer blue. Gorgeous. It also layers nicely over lots of other blues, and over reds, strangely enough. A must-have, if you can get your hands on a bottle. They're hard to find, and getting more expensive every day.

Blue Moon Lagoon is great. It was a long time lemming of mine and I finally found the whole Summer For Shore set and this is my fave. The shade of blue is light with holographic shimmer. Buy this one while it can still be found. :)

I love this color. I am a fan of everything holo and this is right near the top of my favorites. My one tiny complaint is that it is so sheer. I solved that issue by layering it over 2 coats of Color Club’s Blue Light, which is a soft robin’s egg blue shade. The result is a very happy, Spring-y color that has a neat rainbow effect in the sun. I can’t wait to try it over darker polishes to see what I get. This one would definitely be a repurchase if it weren’t discontinued.

If you’re looking for more color saturation and more noticeable holo, try 2NITE from China Glaze’s OMG collection.

My favorite color is blue but that doesn't always translate well to nails, at least for me. I love funky colors and I can get away with it at work but sometimes, blue nail polish can just be too funky for my liking. This color, however, is perfect! With two coats I got a pretty pale aqua with mesmerizing holographic shimmer. Perfect for summer! Truly a "comfortable" blue to wear.

I feel bad giving this colour a bad review. It works well for other people, but for me the colour is just weird. It's a pale blue holographic laquer. I think it's wrong for my skin tone. I think you need to be an extremely cool toned person to pull this one off.

Blue Moon Lagoon is a sheer seafoam-blue polish with a subtle holographic shimmer. It's tough to see the holographics of this collection (Summer for Shore) inside, but outside in good sunlight, they're all gorgeous! I love this one in three coats alone, or one coat as the base for a funky french with ChG Kaleidoscope Him Out as tips. I took one point off for the holo being useless except for in good light, but overall I really loved this polish, and this whole collection was one of my very favorites from OPI.

Well, to begin with, I didn't expect to like wearing this color. I fully expected to remove it within 24 hours, or at the very least before my next work day. I have never worn a blue or green shade of polish ever! =) But the pics I saw of it made it impossible to resist...
It is that difficult to pin down shade of light blue and mermaid green. In fact, I felt a bit mermaid-ish wearing it. =)And in the sunlight....oh my! Mersmerizingly spectacular as only holographic polishes can be! I am so glad I stepped out and bought it and then actually tried it!! =) Love it!!!

Ice blue with a hint of aqua and holographic micro sparkles. It's very pretty in the sun. 4 coats for coverage (I put on 3 over 1 coat of Calling all Goddesses). I imagine it's a great summer toe color for someone with a tan. On my pale neutral fingers, I can wear it and it's very nice (especially outdoors), but not a knockout on me.

This is a very sheer aqua polish with holographic shimmer. It is the colour of water you see in travel brochures, a lovely blue with a distinct aqua tone. The holographic-ness of this polish is not as noticeable as the others in the Summer for Shore collection but it is still pretty. It looks nice with my super pale skin. A fun polish but dont see myself reaching for this one on a regular basis.
Layering this over a dark blue brings out the green tones in this polish.

This really is a lagoon blue. It is a greeny blue, with holographic shimmer. It is unfortunately very sheer, I can't manage to build it up to full coverage on my nails. Layered over another blue polish though gives it more opacity, although it takes on the color of that blue. Layering over black brings out the green shimmer.

This is a very striking colour in the bottle - gorgeous light blue with holographic shimmer. It goes on quite sheerly however, and looked a bit more teal than blue. I think it would be best layered over a darker blue to give it some depth.

This is quite sheer with one coat and is very shimmery and glossy, with delicate flashes of aqua, pearl and gold. It requires two or three coats to get bottle-intensity, however. The effect is not really flattering on me now due to my paler skin, but I can see this looking great as a toe color for the summer. Might repurchase.

With three coats, I can achieve bottle color - with four coats, the whites of my nails are covered and the denim shade becomes more aqua. Gorgeous holographic shimmer, intense shine, excellent wear. It's distracting - in a good way. I find myself staring at my nails constantly, hypnotized by the depth of the shade and the prismatic shimmer. The color itself is a bit hard to pull off with my olive undertones - I usually don't do blues of this nature. For Blue Moon Lagoon, however, I will make the exception. This will look great on toes with a summer tan.

A shimmery blue to very slight green. LOVE it on my toes! I tend to use it most in the summer because it has an incredible holographic effect that you can only see in very bright light. So outside in the sun it looks just beautiful. 3 coats builds the color up to full coverage. It's definitely a bolder color and so far I haven't had the courage to wear it on my tips.
