This matte reddish plum is a really tough color to pull off. I tried pairing this with a number of different e/s to minimize the red, but it still ended up looking a little too bruisy on me. There are many other purples in my stash that I prefer over this one (Stila Mulberry, for example).

I bought this color at my local CCO for $4.99 in pan form. I was looking for a dark plum color with a slight hint of reddish brown. Generally I look like puke in makeup with red undertones but I suprised at how well grape looks on me. I definitely think is a hard color to pull off without looking like you got punched in the eye. So definitely a "buyer beware" try before you buy. In the pan it looks more like a light plum color. On my lid, it's smooth, blendable and fantastic. I love the texture because although it's a matte, it goes on like a dream. For reference, C40, yellow undertones, brown hair, brown eyes.

This is one of those shades that simply won't work with my coloring. The plum is pretty in the pan, but the unflattering red undertones really stand out when applied.

Grape is a matte, grapey plum with red tones. I agree completely with the reviews below in that this shade is not for lighter complexions. I'm a MAC NC20/NARS Deauville/Stila B and it gives me that bruised eye look, even with a sheer application in the crease.

I really like this color but for some reason it does not blend as well as other stila eye shadows. It is a matte medium purple color that I use in the crease and then put a shimmery wash over it. I would never buy this again but it is ok for right now.

I have to agree with the reviewer below. Grape is a dark, matte red-based plum that doesnīt flatter light skintones. Itīs too dark/muddy of a shade for the lid and can only be worn as a liner. I suppose this shade may work on medium to dark complexions, but itīs not particularly interesting in my opinion.

I am pale, cool toned with brown colored eyes. Grape simply did not work for me either as a liner or a crease shade. Grape is a matte plumy color with quite a bit of red undertone. It made my eyes look swollen and red. Perhaps this color would suit those with warmer color tone and darker skin color than me.

This is a beautiful warm purple on the red side. Per the advice of another MUAer, I am wearing this with Heather as a wash, Grape in the crease, and MAC Contrast as a liner. It looks quite striking.
