I got this in a swap a few days ago, at first i was so happy to see the vibrant colors and i couldnt wait to try them. Once i did i noticed they didnt show up on me well i though maybe its hte lighting so i try it again and nothing a slight color shows up barely. But then i try using it wet and a BAM!!! colorama i swear once used wet the colors are sooo pigmented i lvoe this palette because of that i will probabaly always use it wet because of its sheerness. I will probabaly use it when i want a subtle purple lilac look also as a wash the middle color and last colors are beautiful. So in my opinion this palette is very versatile for day or night and i would deffinalety buy it again two thumbs up :D UPDATE:: i ended swapping this away, not for me i like more color in my shadows, it just was'nt pigmented enough for my expectations even used wet :(

The packaging of this trio is much more versatile than the previous trios. It's in a 3 pan than can allow you to interchange the colours (yes with some difficulty though). It's still plastic but at least this one is nicely coated with a gloss to give it more than a cardboard feel.

The colours was nice but nothing to wow at. They're basically matte even though there is visible shimmer in the pan. Other than the darkest purple liner colour, the colours are sheer so for those who like sheer washes, great trio for you. For the rest of us, not so great. Considering the price of these are astronomical in Canada. This is really not worth to repurchase even if I had the chance to!

This is are sheer shades of matte purple and lilac. I do love purple e/s but I didn't think i was special when the SA put these on my eyes. The only thing was Jeanine Lobell was at the same event and she said my eyes looked beautiful so I felt like I had to get the eyeshadow unless I would regret it. Does my face have sucker written all over it? I even bought the Lisa lipstick(i actually really did like that color, it was unique and worth the money)

This trio was adorable...but yes there is a but, it was way too sheer. I know that's what they were going for but I'm a PPP and it barely showed up on me, maybe this would be a better trio for darker girls. Anyways I wouldn't repurchase this or any other italian ices collection.

Gosh I love this palette! I got it specifically because of the palette itself - it's so cute and sturdy and looks absolutely gorgeous. I pop it in a blush, eyeshadow and a concealer in each of the 3 pans and it makes a perfect touch-up palette that looks great to boot. The actual eyeshadows in it, however, are nothing to write home about. They're average colors that I already have similar ones of, and they're super sheer. The light lavender one with shimmer is the prettiest and the only one I'd use IMHO. But the palette itself justifies me getting it :)

I have only just begun to explore the fascination of wearing eyeshadows, and this array of soft and sheer hues of lavendar caught my eye at the Stila makeup counter. I had read in some magazine that these particular colors favored fair-haired women, and as a darked-haired fair/medium Asian, I was somewhat disappointed. But as soon as I saw how pretty the colors were, I knew I had to have them.

Because the textures are so sheer, I do have to make more of an effort to layer the colors, but I am not looking for anything shockingly extreme. Overall, this palette offers a beautiful contrasting pop of color for the summer.

I am a Stila addict but have not been too impressed by the line lately. I fell for the Italian Ices Tre Trio because the various shades of purple are beautiful in the palette! And they are pretty on the eyes too, but like everyone said, you really have to build up the color to make the shadows stand out. The deepest purple is a fantastic liner though and makes this palette work for me.

This is my favorite trio of all the Italian Ices-I wear it wet for a bold look and I have gotten many compliments when wearing these colors. I like it because the colors are fun and unique-very summer colors imho.

I gave the trio a 3 overall because the colors are so sheer that you really have no choice but to wear them wet or not see them at all! A 4 for price because I liked the trios better when they were $30 and a 3 for packaging which I should explain-I adore the cute Stila packaging and the packaging of these Italian Ices are very cute without question BUT I miss the round trios!! They were so adorable! However, on the plus side, these little book ones seem a bit sturdier than the round trios, the artwork is still cute, if not cuter than before and the palettes are magnetic and refillable so you can mix and match the shadows with other Stila shadows and blushes-very convenient! But I had to keep the packaging score in the middle because despite its good points, I still miss the round trios!

I wasn't too pleased with the pigment in these shadows, but I love the colors so much, especially the darkest shade in the trio. The packaging is ok, I guess. Cute, but not very practical.

Of all the Italian Ice trios this is my least favorite. It did not stay on and the look was too light. Once I get over the very cute packaging I think this is going up for swap.

This trio *looks* amazing, but I wish the e/s in it could be more pigmented. Perhaps texture of these 3 eye shadows are silky, they go on very sheer on eyes. Would work for someone who likes natural eyes but not me.

Italian ices was a major disappointment. Not a horrible collection but nothing standout gotta have unique. Upon first seeing this collection i thought the colors were very similiar to current stila and mac shades. They are similiar but this collection is very sheer. It consists of a light pale lilac, a medium lilac, and a dark lilac/violet with golden undertones (real similliar to mac creme de violet). However, it goes on so sheerly it does give off that pastel icy look. Pretty but not a must have.

I absolutely love this eyeshadow trio. The packaging is much better than the old trio packaging. The colours of the palette style packaging are gorgeous ranging from pale yellow to peach and the blonde girl on the front it too cute, i think this would probably suit pale skinned blondes as well as the eyeshadows are not really deeply pigmented to you would have to have either really pale or quite tanned/dark skin for them to show up.

The eyeshadow colours are a light shimmery pale lavander, a medium frosty mauve and a dark purple. I think they work nice together or i use the darkest with the green from KP p1 trio for a funky look.

This is the second stila palette i have decided to keep instead of swapping away so i think it is becoming a HG.

Stila fans, please don't hit me.... but this trio didn't work for me at all! I am cool toned with brown eyes and hence purple e/s are staples in my makeup collection. However, Tre didn't look as stunning on me as it did in the pans.
I really liked the lightest color e/s of the trio as an all over wash. However, I thought the middle shade is just too similar to Stila's Charm e/s. I also thought the darkest e/s in the trio to have a little too much pink tone for my liking.

For all the above reasons I have returned my Tre and will go back to e/s from Stila's regular line. Having said all these, I have to say this trio would be good for someone who usually wears nude colors and wants to try something different for the summer. These eyeshadows are very sheer and you will need to build it up.

I wasn't very impressed with Italian Ices collection when I saw swatches online, but when I saw them in person and the result of application, I really want to get all three of them. I especially like this purple trio. As the previous reviewer said, the lightest shade isn't very pigmented, but since it's not the heavy make-up time of the season, the sheer shimmer all over the eye lid is perfect to be applied as a base.

The darkest color is nice as liner, and the middle color is perfect for crease. Together these three shimmery purples create a very soft, pastel effect, that is perfect for summer. The name "italian ices" might be from the unique shimmers these shadows contain. They make the lids look "icy." I highly recommend this trio, and although I noramlly don't look good in blue hues, because of this purple trio, I am seriously thinking about getting the trio in UNO.

The purples in this trio seem to have a bit of pink undertone, so they brighten up the eyes instead of making eyes look dead. I highly recommend this trio. Really pretty.

i'm a huge purple eyeshadow fan, so as soon as i saw this, i knew i had to purchase this! but i must say, i'm a little bit disappointed! the colors are pretty but you have to layer and layer and layer to get any color. the lightest shade, no matter how much i layer, just does NOT show up whatsoever. the darkest shade is great as a liner though...and the middle shade is nothing special (most ppl would probably have the same color in another brand) and only shows up when wet. this is a nice set to have around, esp for the darkest color, but it's just not spectacular.

Another palette that was my first-time Stila purchase. This trio has beautiful, sheer, shimmery purple colors. I do have to apply them a few times for more color to show. But for me, who doesn't wear eyeshadows as often, the sheerness is perfect. The darkest color, a grape purple, looks gorgeous smudged on the lower and upper lashlines. Also, I find these eyeshadows are so silky and blend so nicely! This trio may have converted me into a full fledged Stila fanatic =)

I'm not overly thrilled with this trio. The middle and darker purple shades are just too bright for my liking -- even a die-hard purple lover like me. I can still wear them, but probably not all together but with other brands/shades of purple.

These look *very* dark in the pans but actually go on much more sheerly (thank goodness). The colors are a very light almost whiteish lilac, a medium purple, and a very dark and vibrant looking purple. On my lids they create a nice soft purpley look that's not too 80's-ish or too overpowering. The trick is to not apply too much and to blend blend blend. I'm very happy with it although I actually miss the old circle trios even though I have a very hard time making room for their odd shape in my traincase.

I was lucky enough to get this is a swap and it's so pretty. Colours are described below so I won't go into them again.

Quality is as you'd expect from Stila and although I loved the 'wheels' this packaging is really cute.

The e/s look really pretty and very vibrant in the palette but acutually all go on dry as a sheer wash of colour, a little too sheer for me. Used wet however they become much more intense.

I'm a PPP with blue eyes and they really make my eyes stand out. Love this trio, now I need the other two!
