Damn.
That's the first thing that came to mind when I looked in the mirror after being out all day after using this powder for the first time.
And that was a good "damn".
My skin has grown quite oily lately, which is very, very annoying. I was using the wrong cleanser on my face. It stripped out all the oils and made it go into overdrive as far as oil production goes. So I've been taming it for the past month and have been desperately seeking a powder that could keep me from having to blot my face like, two or three times a day.
Well--this is it. I put the powder on in the morning before heading out, and then I don't need to worry about looking disgusting and greasy for the rest of the day. It's amazing, it's wonderful, and I wish all problems in life were solved so simply and quickly.
This isn't cheap, but it's not nearly as expensive as some. Actually--this is about the same cost as Urban Decay's De-Slick Mattifying powder, which used to be a favorite of mine, except the powder smells so bad and the compact itself was so poorly designed that it kept breaking on me. This compact is quite sturdy, which is nice. The included puff is pretty good also (unlike the crappy scrap of fabric in Chanel compacts).
Bottom line: this is the best powder, and I am a powder junkie. I don't wear a lot of makeup, and I have no qualms about splurging on powder. Get the citrus scent if you have oily skin, also.

I love this powder. I have the citrus one & it smells great, & leaves my skin feeling like silk, as the name suggests. It makes my makeup last all day & it even makes it look better as the day goes on.
The only con is the packaging. It looks nice & all, but it's very hard to get the powder out...
Other than that, however, it's great. The perfect translucent powder.

I cannot believe I have not reviewed this angel dust. It's the only powder I have bought twice. I had the lavender one first and the rose one now. It feels so pleasant and smells so good. It keeps my makeup from getting greasy but still looking dewy. My hg, my only annoyance is the price, it's an Australian Brand but it's still cheaper to get online than in stores. Stop ripping off your fans close to home please.

I have been using this product for a while now and I still love it.
Pros: It really really does suck up the oil off your skin. I love the feel of the powder on my face, light and fresh. The smell is just beautiful (citrus for me as I have oily skin) and it blends onto your face really well. I have a fairly olive complexion and this dosen't make me look pale or washed out. It does almost (in my opinion) give your face a matte appearance.
Cons: For as long as I've been using it, it's really hard to get out of the package. It could be easier and quicker to apply apart from the constant need to tap at the container to get the product out. Because it's so fine I find that mine clogs up the small holes where it is released from the package. Annoying.
Apart from that I do like this product very much. While I am a Jurlique fan not all of their products float my boat. This one does. It feels great on your skin, especially if you are not a girl who likes to use a lot of products on her face. The smell is great and apart from getting the product out I've never had the container break or split and I've been carrying mine around in my bag for AGES. It lasts a long time so per useage cost I find is actually pretty reasonable.

Wow I love this powder! I have the rose one,and it smells Devine. The powder is superbly fine and does not cake on at all,but glides over and leaves such a lovely luminous finish. It does not make me look white at all,but I am a light skin tone. I find it looks better and better as it settles into my skin, and leaves it looking fresh and glowy! I use it over my foundation in the morning, and it really helps to hold it and my makeup to last alot longer. I love the compact it comes in too,and pop it in my bag with a little powder brush for through the day touch ups if needed (if it has been particualarly hot) in which case I apply it with the little velvet puff and just lightly buff off excess with my little brush. In the morning I apply it with a big powder brush,by just tapping out a little on the back of my hand and sweeping on to my brush from there. I find this the easiest way for me to use in the morning with my big brush.
This lasts a very very long time,as it is so fine and you need so little to do the job. It is one of my all time favourite makeup products, and on my top ten HG can't live without list. Just gorgeous! It is pricey...but worth every cent. Love!

This felt lovely in the store and smelt divine but to actually use it is close to impossible.
Like others have mentioned, it is so fine that it goes everywhere as soon as you open it. Despite the fine texture it is really noticeably white on your face, even if you only use a wee bit.
Great for a sweet-smelling ghost make-up effect, but that is it.
The packaging is a bit rubbish too, the lid has cracked which means if I as much move the tub it drops powder everywhere.
Because it was so expensive i am reluctant to just get rid of it (not really logical...), so I have mixed some with some other toned loose powder in a compact, but it's far from perfect.
A pity as I normally really like Jurlique products.

i love this product! i'm using the one in rose, and its almost finished =( this is probably the only powder that doesn't break me out, so definite repurchase! i hate the container though. difficult to get the powder out. i've ended up shaking the powder out on my hands especially since its almost finished, but i'm sure there's a better way to do it. i bought mine from duty free and its definitely pricey to get it from dept stores. as for oil-control, it does control the oiliness through the day, and lasts long. i thk i'll try the citrus one next, but rose is really good!

I've been using this for about 8 months n it's the smoothest powder ever! Works pretty well if it's used for mildly oily skin. I use this with either the ecotools kabuki or blush brush n powder application turns out fine either way :)

UPDATE: 3/10
I really love this product. It looks flawless after you put it on, and lasts for a good 4-6 hours. A touch up is needed by the end of the day but thats pretty good to me. A little goes a long way. Will keep buying. Smell is lovely!
2/10; Just to let you know my skin type, Always struggled with mild to cystic acne, some red scarring, oily but yet can look dry skin, semi large pores, few ice pick scarring. Reading all of these reviews made me smile so off I went to buy my Jurlique Rose Silk Dust! It literally just came in the mail 20 minutes ago, I applied it over my makeup & I think I am IN LOVE. My pores are barely visible. I hope this will not clog my pores & cause me to break out because I think I finally found something good. I will update in a week! I am now off to work a 8 hour work day so lets see how well it works!

(For the Rose Silk Finishing Powder)
I have had this quiet little performer in my handbag for a while now and have completely forgotten to praise it on here. Of course, loose finishing powders are a dime a dozen and normally wouldn't catch my attention. This one, however, is just divine and always a pleasure to use. I keep it in my handbag for shine blotting purposes and I can't live without it. Doesn't cake, smells like roses, and the packaging is kick ass. I never would have thought I could carry a loose powder in my handbag successfully, but this is one excellent container. The lid clicks tight with the sponge-puff and travels well (if you have the handbag space for a whole loose powder container, of course).
Mine is also embarrassingly old (it expired in May '09, I hate throwing perfectly good things out) and is still going strong, with plenty left and no texture/smell change at all. Would I buy again? For sure, no other loose powder packaging has made itself so convenient.

I will not live without this product again! After googling oil control products, I found heaps of people recommending this powder (mostly the Rose silk dust). I checked out the website and decided to go with the Citrus Dust as it's made for oily skin. First off, it smells great, I love putting it on and smell that fresh scent for ages. I use a face powder brush to apply, as you really don't need alot, and I mainly apply it to my T-zone. Before this I would normally get oily within 1-2 hours after putting on my makeup. Now it might take anywhere from a few hours to lasting all day before I get a kind of oily look. I mainly get a "glow" now. Some days I do have to blot and sometimes reapply, but it never looks cakey on me, and I would always get this when I'd try to top up with normal face powder. Will definitely repurchase!

I have the rose scented version, not too easy to find in the UK and quite pricey, but so light and luxurious feeling. I don't tend to use it to set foundation, just use it alone to keep the oilies at bay when wearing very little make-up. Lovely product

***This is a review for the Citrus Silk Finishing Powder**
If you are oily, you need this product. It's controls oil better than any primer, any blot powder. I have tried MAC Blot, UD de-slick, MUFE, Shu, YSL and so many (seriously you name it, I've tried it). I used this product on my wedding day (on the beach, in July and in Mexico) and it really sucked everything up. I love the citrus, fresh scent.
My application process - I use this as a powder primer. Using a foundation brush I dab the powder and then shake off access. I go across my t-zone (after primer and liquid foundation but before setting powder), and then I finish with the setting powder of my choice (usually Guerlain Meteorites.
Warning - do not use the puff as an applicator. You need very little product to control oil.
My only wish is that this came pressed for touch-ups throughout the day.

PERFECT. I have incredibly oily skin and if you do too, then this is a must have for you as well.
I'm aware of my oiliness and I take this into account in relation to everything I apply on my face. I ensure I use a long wearing oil free foundation, as well as oil free moisturiser. I have tried many matte/ oil control powders and none of them have worked out for me. From my experience they're weren't effective at oil control, they broke me out, it made me look like I powdered my face with flour or they contain cheap ingredients such as talc that irritate my skin.
This product is amazing because it is so finely milled and truly transparent - no cake effect. Most importantly - it controls oil!!! Yes I will need to blot - probably once, but that's reasonable for a greasy gal. Also, even though it's so effective at controlling oil - the finish is still luminous and my skin looks healthy (not oily). It's not a flat unflattering matte.
Price wise - reasonable for 10g and the quality. You won't be caking this on - a little goes a long way. Functionality of packaging - I love it. It's very pretty and the most functional you'll ever get for a loose powder. No point complaining about the mess - it's inherent in the nature of the product, being a loose powder. Jurlique have done a fantastic job with packaging - the puff is like a stopper, stopping product coming out and I like how the sifter is a dark colour, which allows you to see precisely how much you've shaken out.
I love this product. I wish I had discovered it sooner.

I ADORE this product! After reading reviews I had to try it and I don't regret buying it at all.
It comes in a cute little compact where the powder sits in a little compartment with a plastic plate with holes (I'm sure there's a much more succinct way of decribing this but it escapes me at the moment)thing between it and the powder puff. There's a handy little mirror in the lid so you can see the powder. Now the sieve does tend to get clogged with powder and requires a VERY gentle tap to get some products out onto the plate (which has a tendency to send the very fine powder flying everywhere if you're not careful!)
I bought it in rose which smells absolutely amazing. There's three different scents (rose, lavendar and citrus) which are marketed for different skin types but honestly I'm not sure if there's a difference (though I've not tried the others so I can't say).
The powder puff is a bit awkward (and gets dirty quickly when you apply powder over any makup you where - I only wear some blush and the puff is now a mottley peach colour) but compact and convenient. The powder goes on white but a gentle pat/swipe distributes it without a trace left over. I have dark Asian skin that tans at the slightest hint of sunlight and the fact that the white powder blends without a trace shows how fine it is.
It is the best powder I've ever tried. I find I have to apply about twice a day (my skin is quite oily) but in between times it keeps my skin lovely and powdery dry.
Will definately purchase this again!

I love Jurlique for being a great high end natural brand but this is sadly not one fo teh products worth the rediculously high price tag. I got the powder in rose, to die for smell! :) But this powder is the biggest hassle ever. I have never used a finishing powder so damn messy. It honestly is sooo finely milled that the air breathing on the compact makes it fly everywhere especially when opening even the lid. Traveling with this thing is out of the question to say the least and even at home I enver want to reach for it anymore. Also this doesn't leave a clean finish on my skin like other finishing powders I ah ve tried as I thought it being so fine it would relaly just dissolve into my skin and also it does leave it somewht smooth I feel it clogs pores a little and also almost leaves my skin feeling a little dry oddly (and I don't even have dry skin). So aside from the amazing smell there is absolutely nothing about this powder that is worth the price to me and I am jsut done with finishing powder as using a foundation powder compact is so much cleaner and does the job without having to use a million products on your face.

I LOVE THIS. I bought the citrus one after I discovered my old loose powder from clinique was breaking me out. It is on the pricey side, but totally does what it says, and all natural!!
It keeps my face from being a greaseball sooo much longer than my previous powder and smells great!(: plus doesn't cause me to break out
