ok, so across the board MLBB. has spf which is something I always go for but it doesn't have the best staying power and kind of dries out slowly. good initial texture and nice packaging - I'd slip a gloss on top to make go a little longer. not the best i've tried but i'd buy it again for the colour.

It kills me to leave this particular review because in theory, I LOVE this l/s. I love the colour, it basically evens out my liptone; MLBB indeed.
But, the reason I won't buy it again is that the lasting power is nil on me. I know that l/s isn't meant to stay for a long time, but I feel like it disappears in, like, 5 minutes. No good. As evidence, I'm scraping out the remaining colour with a lipbrush (for the first time in my life, perhaps).
So, if there's a version of this colour in a longer lasting l/s, I'll be first in line.

I bought this after using up a GWP my friend gave me.
I have pale lips (as does my sister) and we both like this for it's hint of colour and polished look. Not a blow-your-mind lipstick but nice for a subtle YLBB polish.
I could see how this could be too pale to make any difference on some but for pale lipped girls, I'd recommend it.

This is definitely a sheer MLBB shade for my naturally pale lips (C2 PPP with blonde hair and blue eyes). It’s good to have the SPF because you can wear outdoors more like a tinted balm knowing your lips won’t burn. The slim silver tube packaging is lovely. My issue is that the tube is only 1.6ml for AUD36 and most lippies contain about 3.5ml for the same price so this is actually a very expensive lipstick per ml, especially as I need a couple of layers to show up well on my lips and the lasting power isn’t all that great so you need to reapply reasonably frequently. On that basis, and given it’s not an overly exciting shade, I don’t think I’d repurchase but it’s a nice product.

Sweet Violet is so light pink that it looks completely clear on my lips. I look like I have nothing on my lips but clear lipgloss. For the expensive price, I could have bought fifteen 99-cent lipglosses from the drugstore that would look exactly the same. Nice, smooth texture, but looks clear on my lips. Won't repurchase.

I love this color so much - it's very natural looking. I like that this product has SPF as well. However, I don't like that it smells like lipstick (yuck) and doesn't last long at all. I can go through a $14 tube in two weeks. For that reason, even though I love the color, I don't buy it anymore.

I like this product way more than the Lancome Juicy Rouge, which has specks of glitter that gets everywhere. I like this color, it's sheer and natural. I also prefer this packaging to the Lancome one, they're basically the same but the Clinique one is silver and pink and the Lancome one is goldish. I usually use Lancome products but I've always come back for Clinique's sheer lipstick.
I've used Sheer Natural and Sheer Petal before I found this one. The other ones were too nude and too pink for my skin tone. I'm glad I found this one! I'm on my second tube.

i love this colour and the consistency, but the more i wear it the more a wish it was just a touch more noticable. i will probably not repurchase because I need higher end lipstick to show up more in order to justify spending the money. This is a lovely shade for girls who want that super natural look, though:)

Bought a gwp size of this off e-bay in several colours including sweet violet. I love the name, I love the colour (mlb-rosy/light lilac), however I do agree with some other reviewers who noticed that this lipstick somewhat dries out the lips (ours anyway)...so I use it sparingly.
I've started using it again for the SPF (summertime!), and have fallen in love with the colour. It's bonus time at the Clinique counter here in Toronto. I may just buy the full-size version (it's that lovely a shade)...let's face it - who hasn't suffered for beauty at one time or another? :D
Will continue to use it sparingly.

This is the best lipstick color and formula I've found so far to *quickly* hide my unevenly pigmented lip line in a believable way. The color is a perfect neutral rose. It looks fresh and natural against my MAC NC20 skin. The slender tube shape makes it so easy to put on. Almost totally tasteless, weightless, moisturizing and wears off believably with no funky sparkle puddles. I reach for this 5x a day!

There's been a lot said about these already, I just wanted to add that I loved this to start but after a while I noticed that it was the reason that my lips were starting to peel. It's fine if I only use it every once and a while, but repeated use over several days causes problems. Too bad, I really liked everything else about this formula.

Sweet Violet is not a particularly exciting lipstick, but it is the exact color of my lips--much more pinky/mauve than violet, to my mind--which makes it perfect for days when you want to look cosmetics-free yet polished. It also has SPF 15, so it's nice for the summer. Who wants to look like they're all made up at the beach or when hiking? That's where this little lovely comes in. The sleek slim silver tube is perfect for sticking in your pocket.

I got this for free at Dillards and this is a pretty good, moisturous lipstick....it looks rosey-brown on the tube....very close to my own natural lip color but this color looks undeniably similar to my Avon's Beyond color in "Twig", which has an SPF 12 and also has a creamy texture...the difference is....Avon is cheaper but has a slight scent to it....so...i dont think i would repurchase due to the fact that not only do i rarely wear shades like this (i prefer peachy-pinks coz it loox great w/ my hair color), but also, Avon is much cheaper.

As with most reviewers, I agree this is a pretty much your lips but better color, goes on fairly sheer with a hint of pink and a touch of gloss. Perfect for the summer when you want something light and natural. Can see this working for many skin tones and would repurchase.

As said before, this is a "my lips, but better" product. It makes my lips soo soft and moisturized, unlike most l/s. It feels like am wearing a soft lip balm, but it provides a beautiful sheer colour that can be applied light or darker. Great product.

ARGH.. love the moisture sheer line. however i seem irritated to it. juz one application of this and my lips will swell up in an hour. and the swelling takes ages to die down plus my lips get realli painful and flacky. tiny bumps will also cover my lips. perhaps i have overly sensitive lips.. haiz.. but other than my personal problems wif this product, i think it should be a hg for most woman looking for a beautiful, sheer yet not too shiny plus well pigmented everyday lippie.

Perfection, a true my-lips-but-better shade. I'm pale with pale lips and dark hair; the always-mentioned Black Honey gives me a goth look (not what I'm going for), but this is natural and pretty. A cool but not bright or purplish pink on me. The sheerness and slender shape make it easy to apply without a mirror, if you need to. I'd like to find a longer lasting true lipstick in the same color.

Has a great texture, SPF, and is moisturizing. Great for days in the summer when you really need the sun protection! It's sheerness lets it work with the color of your lips, creating a nice summery natural effect. Not sure I would repurchase, because I have so many other lip products as well.
