I received a sample of this, and though I hesitated if it would be too dark for me (I had the shade "Blond"), it was a fitting shade for me. But I think this was mostly due to the transparent quality of the tint. For me, it was lacking coverage, it is probably a good product for people who have a good and even skintone to begin with, and just need a bit of moisture, even tint and fresh glow. I know that a tinted moisturizer isnīt supposed to deliver great coverage, but at least I expect it to be able to even out my redness a little bit. Also, the cream sat on top of my skin and made shiny and feel very greasy. Nothing for me.

I think it has good coverage, but I find it very greasy on my skin. I use the color 14. AMBER, I don't like the container, everytime I want to get a little amount, I get a lot!! I'm using it up, but I don't think I'll buy it again.

I like the feel of this on my skin but it doesn't last long at all and carries a smell on your skin all day. It is quite oily and really feels as though it slips of my face quickly throughout the day. It's gone by midday at best if I apply before work at 7:30. No good!

I'm using this in Bisque, and while the colour is good, I find it a little bit too sheer (on my freckled face) and leaves my face very slightly shiny, in comparison to Olay which I find more matte.
It's not at all greasy or heavy and absorbs fairly easily. But for the price I think I'd prefer something with a little more coverage.

I've been using this product for years and wouldn't use anything else.

I only used to wear it in the summer months but have found that with an excellent skincare regime (I exfoliate and moisturise mask twice a week), I can get away with using this all year round.

The tint evens out my skintone - but isn't enough to overwhelm and look like I have product on my face.

I think the moisturising properties are great and I think that in the time I've been using it all year 'round, my skin has got better - with this, and Clinque's Pore Minimizer my skin is nigh on flawless and natural looking.

There is a faint perfume to the product but it's quite nice and because I've used it for so long I hardly notice it.

I have been using this product for almost 18 years. I liked Revlon Age Defying and then they changed it. I don't like liquids. This is the BEST product - goes on smoothly and if applied carefully some people don't know I am wearing a foundation! I use Gold in winter and Amber in summer. I also use self tanner in summer.

Love, love, LOVE this stuff. I've been on the hunt for the perfect tinted moisturizer for years now (seems the majority of them just don't offer the coverage I want, while most foundations are way too heavy), and this is it, hands down. Goes on smooth, if a tad oily, but doesn't settle into my large pores or melt off my face throughout the day, even in the Los Angeles summer. Occasionally requires a dab of powder or an oil blotting sheet, but even when I "feel" oily, the compliments about how glowy and fresh my skin looks keep rolling in.

My only gripe (and it's in a minuscule one) is that I am beginning to develop laugh lines and those horrible "squinty" lines between my brows, and this did sometimes have a tendency to settle into them over the course of the day. The upside is, it was simple to blend back out, but still. . . Getting caught with makeup in yr lines is a major bummer, so keep a mirror on hand!

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to drop $40+ on a cosmetic right now, even one of this caliber, but rest assured that I WILL eventually be coming back to this.

For reference: I have combo skin that veers towards the more oily side with the occasional dry patch, and large pores.

This is my HG hands down. Love this product. I only use this in the (amber)summer. But, decided to use it this (gold mixed with a little amber) winter too. I'm SO glad I did! It is light to medium coverage and gives a dewy finish. I still moisturize first and then apply. No breakouts, I have sensitive skin. The only thing I don't care for is the packaging on the tube. You squeeze and waste a lot of product. It's pricey but WELL worth it.

I waited 3 weeks to review this product. Let me say first I have oily skin and prone to mild breakouts if the product I am using disagrees with me. That being said: I absolutely love this tinted moisurizer. I have been looking along time for something that covered well but didnt feel like I had anything on my face. This is it hands down. I have the Golden colour although I am an ivory face in the winter, this gives me a nice sunkissed look without looking fake (Honest I swear). I put it on after my moisurizer and then a bit of powder after and I swear that my oil is at bay until the evening when I wash my face for bedtime. Price wise, I always say you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying a high price as long as it does what it says. I would 100% buy this product again without question. Oh did I mention that i have a bit of acne scarring on my cheeks and it covers that up. I feel confident and beautiful. Thanks Clarins!!!!!

This is my HG Tinted Moisturizer. The best in my opinion. I've tried so many others but I always come back to this one, HE and DS. I've been using the gold for about six years. Its light with the perfect amount of coverage. Its just makes my skin look so dewy and gives such a beautiful glow. If you don't want to look too made up, then this would be perfect. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it. If I want a little more coverage I suggest putting a little mineral powder over it.

I've tried many tinted moisturizers, both high end department store brands and drug store brand and I have to say this one is my absolute favorite. I have naturally tan skin and I find the GOLD looks best on me. Gives just enough coverage with a beautiful glow. I've purchased it about 5X already and will purchase many more times. A bit on the expensive side ($42 at Macys) but totally worth it because a tube last a long time. It's perfect for those who don't want to wear foundation.

This review is for Hydra-care Tinted Moisrturizer, color - "Blond".

Even though I liked this TM at first, I think it irritates my sensitive skin. I have very pale peach-cream complexion and normal to combination skin.

About 2-3 hours after application, my skin gets oily and itchy, not excessively, but still unpleasant.
Yes, the color is very dark for something that's cold "Blond" and sort of orangy, but after I applied it and blended well, it disappears, leaving me with a slightly tanned very healthy looking skin. The coverage is sheer, but still enough to even out my complexion.

Too bad my skin reacted so strangely, for I really liked this TM, and it didn't cause me any breakouts or clogged pores.

it's easy to blend and gives me a natural glow! i love it very much as it feels very light on my skin and also it provides some coverage. i'm quite fair so bisque is more suitable for me, gold is too orangy.

I have porcelein skin and tried the lightest shade which seemed ok in the shop however at home i put it on and my face is now a ghastly yellow colour, its almost like a mask on me...it is thick and hard to blend, its not atall sheer and doesnt feel moisturizing, in fact you need to put a moisturiser under the 'tinted moisturiser' which kinda defeats the purpose!

Very disappointed as I have great admiration for all other Clarins products I have tried.

I have been looking for a replacement for my beloved Biotherm, which has become nearly impossible to find. At first I loved this in bisque. But in the warm weather it broke me out! It never lasted past mid-morning. And then I think I developed an allergy to it...I broke it out again on a super cold day figuring it would be good to add a layer of moisture. My eyes started burning...and then I started sneezing! I had several sneezing fits through out the day, really worrying my co-workers. It was a day before a big project was due so I couldn't run home, either. I no longer recommend this.

I have been using this Tinted Moisturiser (in Gold) for about 15 years. I am yet to find a replacement that even comes close to measuring up to this one! In terms of colour and coverage it is perfect for my skin (I am almost 40) and really does cover some broken capillaries and discolouration. My only gripes are after the many years this has been on the market, the SPF really should have been increased. Also the price, I am in Australia and for some reason we pay considerably more for Clarins (as well as most cosmetics and skin care!). Ours costs AU$56 which equates to about US$45. All in all though, the beauty product that I have used for the longest period.

I'm 26 with pretty good skin. This is probably my fourth time buying this product in Gold-- the first time I tried BISQUE which also works okay but a shade "tanner" GOLD gives me more life. The person that first introduced me to it said it was pricey but would last a year. That's not quite true, but it does last me about 3 to 4 months. I don't use it as my primary moisturizer, first I layer on a coat of CHEAP St. Ives facial moisturizer (HG moisturizer) and then layer on this smooth creamy tint in GOLD to even out my skin tone and make me RADIANT. I may put some powder on my nose over it, but generally I like to leave it alone so it gives me that great glow. I use this is lieu of foundation which I used to use obsessively (Bobbi Brown, Mac, Lancome).

I'm starting to think that TMs just isn't for me. This just isn't good... looks flaky and enhances my dry spots. Doesn't cover a thing and doesn't moisturize at all. I really like clarins, but this product is not for me I guess..

I have this in Gold and love it. I've actually bought the product 3x which is unheard of for me as I like to constantly change products in search of the "perfect one". Well, this is it for me. My only complaint is that the SPF is only a 6--it should be at least 15. If it had an SPF 15, I would give it a 5. This moisturizer gives a hint of coverage, evens out my skin tone, smells great and doesn't make me break out. It evens makes my skin "glow" slightly!
