I bought New Musk as part of a Parfums de Coeur trio, and of the three I like this the best. The sillage on this is ridiculously long. I put it on one Friday morning and the scent lingered until I showered it off on Saturday afternoon, over 24 hrs. later
The scent is white on white--gardenia, coconut, and marshmallows. It's lovely, but I felt a little off kilter because I should never have worn this in the dark days of December. It's meant for spring and puffy clouds that look like cirus animals.

Oh, I wanted to like this Coty musk so bad! Knowing their other ones are just as good. The dry down of this scent really smelled artifical, like plastic or something. Almost like it's too fresh while the typical musk should give off more of a warmer scent.

I hate to say, this is one musk I will never purchase again.

Nice scent, it does have more gardenia than musk. But I am going to wear it anyway. Might re-purchase, with so many choices, who knows?

I agree it smells like Michael. It made me queasy after a while (as does Michael).

Yep. It smells like Michael by Micheal Kors but in mono, not in stereo. KWIM?

What a find!!! Got as 1.2 oz. bottle of the parfum (EDP Maybe) for $4.49 and it's just great! Smells almost identical to Michael by Michael Kors...also similar to Bora Bora and Sand & Sable...almost like JLo Glow. Does not smell like musk to me - Gardenia is what I think of. It's very smooth, and for once - does NOT dry down to vanilla!!! yeah! I am just tickled to find a nice fragrance like this for such a great price. This does not smell cheap to me but very pretty. - love it!

This is beyond the most disgusting spray/ perfume that I have ever smelled!
It smells cheap, and like toilet cleaner. I got it today in a set that came with three sprays, and this is the worst. I sprayed it on and nearly started gagging. As I was sitting in class, I was practically vomiting. It's a horrible scent that even a prostitute doesn't deserve to wear because it's sooooo bad. Don't waste your money, and if you happen to get it for a gift, do yourself a favor and dump the liquid down the drain!!!!

This smells similar to 'Michael'. Same notes, but a little lighter.

Update: I mean if you think the smell is that bad, it's just your own chemistry reacting to it. It doesn't smell cheap, whatsoever. But that's just me. I love the tuberose smell on this perfume on me. It will be upgraded to a five.

This is a great drugstore find,I just bought the body spray today and it is so light and fresh,and very cheap at $4 for the body spray. Seems to last a long time too :)

I'm going to test drive it tonight on a date...we'll see what happens!

I have to admit, I usually stay far, far away from the cheapo-smelling perfumes at the drugstore, and prefer to spend my hard-earned money on the high-end, quality scents, like Chanel. However, when I picked up the tester of New Musk, wondering what gross scent Prince Machiavelli had cooked up now, I was quite amazed at how fresh and truly lovely it smelled. When I saw the price was only $9 for more than an ounce, I took it home with me. I wish all drugstore scents were as nice! I'm so glad I found this! It's light and airy, not overpowering, doesn't smell "cheap" at all! Try it!

I like this. It reminds me a little of Poison and something else, but much softer.
I like this better than the Fresh White Musk.

Smells almost like bora bora to me but maybe I'm just hallucinating?!? Anyway, this is a great price and this scent lasts a long time. Like the others say, not musky at all, very sweet and great for the spring.
UPDATE: Some days this is so strong it makes me sick. Probably will not buy again.

PM's NM IS verrry similar to Michael's-and also to Sand & Sable. It is best described as an "oily" (ie, nonalcohol-y) floral with tuberose and *maybe* violet dominating, with a touch of musk. A very nice fragrance, but not really a musk. It really is a floral more than anything. Another musk forpeople who are kinda embarrassed about wearing musk,IMO.

OTOH, PM's Fresh White Musk is equally lovely-but it is really a musk, which PM NM is in name only. FWM is pretty similar to Alyssa Ashley's white musk especially (not so much to Jovan's white musk). I prefer it to the AA because PM FWM is a musk with floral notes added-AA's white musk, like PM NM, is a floral with notes of musk.

PM NM is in a cute lavender bottle with a lavender plastic cap molded to look like a stylized , even cubist, flower blossom. PM FWM is in the classic PM bottle-the same one used for Windsong.

If I worked for PM, Iwould have suggested they call name the fragrance they call New Musk, Fresh White Musk, and the product they call Fresh White Musk....New Musk. That would be more accurate , since PM NM is a very white musk dominated by florals to the extent that the musk is nearly drowned out, while PM FWM really is closer to being a true musk, with relatively little "white". I'd rebuy both products, but I give PM FWM 4.5 lipsticks, and PM NM only 4, as I love true musks .

UPDATE: Bought the PM FWM Body Spray for 2.97 at WalGreens. Very nice! When the weather's warm, I'll probably wear the body spray quite a bit. It's pretty true to the fragrance. Jovan Musk for Women is also available in Body Spray ; I sprayed it in the air like an air freshener, and that way at least, it smelled nice and true to the actual fragrance.And the price is unbeatable!

I love this perfume, although it doesn't really smell musky to me. It has a pleasant sweet smell - I really can't describe it, it's just beautiful and really cheap. One of the best fragrances you can buy at a drugstore.

WOW! I own Michael by Michael Kors and this smells exactly the same for a 4th of the price. I will definitely get this from now on. Great quality for a drug store perfume. I sprayed both on and could not tell a difference and I bought it b/c it was so cheap and I am almost out of my small bottle of Michael. This was only 9 dollars for a 1.2 ounce bottle AND I got a very large fragranced candle w/ it at Walgreens. Good deal!
