I loved the concept of this product when I first heard about it but unfortunately it wasn't for me, mainly because I didn't do quite enough research before buying it. I was hoping it would help with my blackheads, particularly around my nose area, but it just didn't happen for me. Admittedly it did get a few around the sides of my nose area but none on top at all, nor on my forehead or chin area where I also applied the strips.

However, I realised that it is probably marketed for blackheads that are actually exposed instead of ones that are still underneath the skin (i.e. not "lumpy" so to speak) - my friend who suffers from these particular blackheads swears by these strips and couldn't believe it when I told her they didn't work for me - so in my opinion it just depends on your particular skin type, as do most products.

On my first attempt I hadn't been aware that it was a no-no to wet the strip after it has already been placed on the face as this will dilute the glue and it won't stick to your face/do anything at all, so I thought it was an immediate failure at first. But on the second attempt I made sure my face was just really wet at first and then put the strips on so I didn't feel the need to make my face wetter so they would stick - so don't wet the strips after they're already on!!!

I'm really disappointed that these didn't work for me as I found it such a cool concept but I know they work for others!

bought one pack today. what i like the most about it is that it gets the entire (almost 1cm long) blackhead out -i always get few long ones per sheet, in addition to the whiteheads , that makes me feel that it is very effective. I had a lots of blackheads on my chin and after using the strips, my chin is now finally clean (no visible black dots anymore!). The trick is to cut the strip into pieces of different sizes and stick it on your face where u feel there's most of blackheads. have fun examining it after using it. feels great!

These pore strips are not exactly something I use all the time, maybe about once a month or when I really feel I need it, but boy do I notice when I do use them. I use them on both my nose and chin, the places on my face where I get blackheads. You just wet your skin slightly, and apply these. They start to harden like paper-mâché. The box says leave them on for 10-15 minutes but I personally do 20. Yes, they hurt a little when removing so please be gentle! But hey, beauty is pain right? The pain is definitely worth it when you can see all the gunk cleared out on the strip. The proof is there, that they are working. The reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 is because although many blackheads are removed with these strips, it doesn't always remove everything. Usually what is left is a few blackheads but are closer to the surface. They do work wonders though, and without these my skin would be a mess. Yes I would repurchase this product.

I have used so many of these for so long, I even have the 15 Year anniversary collection tin that makes stocking up the strips so easy. I have no complaints about the price, because I only buy them when they are on sale at the major stores, and that is often enough I have a good few months supply at a time, and never having to buy it full price.

Moving on to the actual review. Unless you have very very clogged pores, I don't suggest using these more than once every week. Every 3~4 days at the most. I found the Ultra works so much better even with your white heads than the regular ones... What I do is warm my towel with warm (not hot) water, and apply the towel to my face a few times, then thoroughly cleanse my face, exfoliate however you like, but I prefer using the gel/creams. Massage in Sebum softener by St. Clare (that comes with the pore purifying mask set) for about 3 mins, wash it off. Wet my face, put one of these badboys on, and press down with my fingers, and pinch the side of my nose so it forces the glue into my pores, towel my face dry again, and sit around to wait until it feels like paper mache before I peel it off... sort of the same way you would wax... I actually gently pull the skin the opposite way I peel towards the nose, then from the tip of my nose towards my forehead. Tada, forest of white-heads (don't have blackheads...), follow up with lotion soaked cotton pads, leave it on for a while, peel, and use the rest all over my face, moisturise. Result - Heavenly clean pores, sometimes it doesn't get all of them, then I would wet the skin and run them through with the remover stick. Most of the time when I have epic fails is when 1. I did not wait around for long enough, and the glue was still somewhat tacky in places, or 2. when I didn't press for long enough. I will be forever grateful to Biore for coming up with this marvelous product.

I just go on EBAY to purchase these at a cheaper price

Pros:
- It removes a lot of gunk from your nose
- slightly therapuetic looking at the gunk you pulled ( I know, gross)
- Nose looks smoother and cleaner

Cons
- Doesn't get rid of really deep ones
- suspicious that this is causing more blackheads to form. (too late, I'm hooked)
- some may feel it's painful

You must clean your nose prior to applying. Make sure there are no oils on your nose, otherwise it will not stick properly and therefore be effective.

good for: People who really have blackheads/gunk on nose that like to see it come out. People who can tolerate a little sting and pain.

Not for: People who have low pain tolerance. people who have no real blackheads

Love these! Use them about once a week or so. TIP: DO NOT wet strip with a wash cloth or a ton of water AFTER you put it on your nose. It dilutes the "glue" that grabs on to your blackheads. Wet your nose throughly and apply the strip and press down well. The strip should never be soaking wet. Also, I remove the sides first and then the pull the tip of the nose portion upwards. I do it fast, almost as if I was waxing. I find that gives me the best results.

Fun always fun....to see what you can get out of your pores:) You can use Elmer's glue thinly over nose and get the same effect....just a little more troublesome:)

while i agree with other comments about how the strips don't get all the blackheads, i have to say that i have never used any product that get rid of all of _____(insert whatever unwanted feature you want here).
there's no such thing as a miracle product, and these things get my pores cleaner than anything else i've ever tried. i'm also grossly fascinated with the porcupine look of the strip after i remove it.
i have some tips that make them work better for me:
1. exfoliate and shower or steam your face first
2. apply the strip (i cut a bit off the top since it hurts my eye area) and then take a wet washcloth to press down firmly. this makes sure the strip is saturated.
3. smooth out everything with your fingers
4. put your blow dryer on the cool setting and blow on the strip for a few minutes, periodically pressing down, to really set that bad boy and keep your pores open.
5. i leave mine on until it literally feels like a cast, longer than they suggest. then, i grab both sides wings and peel them toward the center at the same time, pulling up and out. at the bridge of your nose, pull away from your face.

i would use them more often if they weren't so expensive. also, i wish they had larger ones for other parts because i get a lot of little blackheads around where my bra fits on my back and shoulders, but i;d go through like three boxes trying to get those.

I LOVE these!! They get out all that nasty gunk in my nose's pores!! I just had on on and it got all of that crap out!! To get it out first I use a good cleanser to get all my makeup off, then I sometimes use a scrub to loosen up the junk, then I put this bad boy on let it grab all the stuff and pull it off after like 15 minutes it really doesn't even hurt at all, then I use a facial mask ( I like Freeman facial clay mask in mint and lemon!!! ) all over to cleanse my whole face, then I moisturize like CRAZY because all of this can be very drying!! Sorry for blabbing about all that!! If you do try this I really thing you will like it!!

This product really works, and it does what it is suppose to. I would definately purchase again. A little pricey for like 6 strips but it helps with the tea tree oil in it.

Love these things. I try to use them once a week and when I do I notice a big improvement in my skin. I use them on my nose and also cut a strip in half and use 1/2 on each cheek. My pores look a lot smaller and cleaner after use and my face products work better too. Make sure your face isn't too wet when you put it on otherwise it gets kind of gluey and doesn't work well. I usually put my blowdryer on cool and go over my face for a few seconds once they're on to "set" them. If you have really clogged skin I suggest using a gentle scrub first to get that top layer of dead gunk off so these bad boys can grab more. I use these after a steamy shower which helps too. I've heard some people mention these give them broken capillaries but in the nearly 10 years of using them once a week I have never gotten a single one. I usually wash my face after I take them off to get rid of any remaining stickiness and then follow up with my normal products. These also make extractions easier if you've got a deeper clog.

This is an amazing product that I've been using on and off for absolutely years. Since my teenage years actually, and now I'm 29. Anyway, they REALLY work. The stuff that comes out of your skin and remains on the strip is incredible (although gross!), but you can really see and feel an instant difference. I would always say to follow through with a gentle cleansing and tone the area just to really clean and get any remaining strip glue off the nose area. I don't use these all the time, only really weekly or fortnightly, as I do tend to have senitive skin these days, but they've caused me no problems in that department.

One thing however, I find these stick too close to the delicate skin around my eyes, so whenever I use them I smooth them down but immediately lift the top two edges away from my eye aea carefully, because removing the strip when it's dry from near the eyes hurts. Well, it does for me. I suggest cutting a small piece off from the top two corners of the strip prior to putting on if you have delicate skin near your eyes too.

Overall, this product is great value for money and I would highly recommend it to anyone with oily skin suffering from blackheads.

Holy grail blackhead product! I have pretty clear skin but hard-to-reach blackheads and this ALWAYS gets them. I've been using them for over a year now and I don't even remember how many boxes I've gone through.

Price: normally 8-12 USD depending on how many strips you're willing to buy.
you might think oh $8 bucks thats cheap.... but you go through these quickly and it thens to add up.
I find packing normal, and very neutral reason why I give it a 3.

My personal opinions:

sometime it works and gets everything out. and sometime it gets little to none at all.... but then again i dont really have much so I can't speak for myself. I have dry skin.
HOWEVER my boyfriend (combo skin)... you can see his literally a foot or more away on his nose.... and I barely does the job that it claims.

If you're using this before an event I highly suggust doing it AT LEAST one hour before since it can cause redness.... for my boyfriend he only get red for a few minutes. but as for me, sometime i stay red for 5 to 30 mins. it depends on how sensitive you are.

Quick overview:

cons:
-expensive over time
-doesn't always work
-the scent smells like elmers glue no joke.... i personnally detest the smell
-sometime can peel off your skin
-it feels like you have a cast on your nose
-hurts to peal it off

Pros:
-if you use it long enough I noticed my pores getting smaller
- you can find this product anywhere, walmart, cvs, grocery store, etc except clothing stores and maybe gas station.

I personally stop buying these. occassionally I would get them during a swap or so.... other than that I just make my own that I found a DIY on Michelle Phan's youtube video. and it works just as good, and less painful. smell is still horrible however lol

I just bought these yesterday and have only used one so far, but I think they work pretty well. I had alot of blackheads and clogged pores on my nose and this seemed to get rid of most of my blackheads. I even notice it looks clearer. The only drawback is that it was EXTREMELY painful to take off, but that may have been because i left it on 5 mins too long :p

I have used 2 boxes of the strips (for both nose/forehead/chin) and have had limited success. Even though I have a lot of clogged pores not many get extracted every time I use the strips. I have found that pressing very firmly on the strips to ensure the "glue" gets in good contact with your skin it works a bit better, but it is really hit and miss. After using up the last of box of strips I moved on to use a BHA/AHA nightly exfoliant instead to deal with my clogged pores and help prevent new ones from appearing and I have had much better results.

This is the best rated pore strip on MUA, which I really don't understand. The Biore pore strips at best are inconsistent. Sometimes they work, and other times it's a complete fail, which is half the time. For almost $1 a piece, I would expect way better performance than 50%. I think it's time to move onto the CVS ones and see. Even if they perform just as bad as Biore, it would be great since it's so much cheaper

Am I the only person these strips don't work for? I promise I have a boatload of tiny blackheads all over my nose, but for some reason these strips do nada. I've seen pictures online though were people's strips had tons of pus, maybe it's because they have bigger pores?

I really like this, you just wet your nose (clean face) and peel it off and stick it onto your nose wait for so and so minutes (on the box) and then peel off slowly, it get most of the blackheads off but not all of them, so i would like to find something thats more stronger and takes out ALL of the blackheads.
