My first love! I have been using this whitening lotion (then, it was Oil of Ulan) from when I was 15, 16 years old. I am now 27 and I'm still using this. Need I say more?
My face used to be pimply and obviously, post-healing scarring is a definite. Over time, the lotion just lightens the scarring and just evens out my skin tone. It gives me this ethereal glow whenever I put it on.
Pros:
- It does what it is supposed to do : Lightens(scars), Whitens(for even, fairer skin), Reduce size of my pores.
- Affordable.
- Available everywhere (Drugstores, Supermarkets etc)
Cons:
- It is not a moisturizer. It is solely a skin-whitening product.
Note:
DON'T slather a lot of the product or your face will get too white. It doesn't really absorb easily. You need to work it in. Very very important.
Some people I recommend this product to, upon using it for the first time, complained that it feels icky and they looked 'chalky'. After telling them how to use it, they have nothing but raves for the product.
Overall, I am content with this product and unless they discontinue it entirely, I will never stop using it.
Please note that this review is ONLY for the UV Whitening Lotion (in bottle form).
The Whitening Cream (in jar form), however, sucked! It is sooooo oily. I made the mistake of purchasing that, thinking that it would be more moisturizing on top of whitening my skin. My bad! It doesn't cut it for me. I guess I missed out the fact that it is CREAM. Maybe it will work for people with drier skin.

I'm using the white radiance uv whitening lotion spf 19. There is another version with spf24 but it's slightly drier and not so emollient. First up I need to say I use this for my neck and hands. It's too oily for my face in my humid tropical climate and breaks me out, though I do use it on the face when I'm overseas in winter and then it's fine. Normally I use a separate moisturiser and sun block (more expensive with higher spf) for my face. Since face sunblock comes in small quantity with high prices, I figured my neck can take olay instead (cheaper too! SGD7 for 75 ml).
For the neck and hands, it's a good moisturiser with spf19. Keeps them moisturised and fair and yes I can see a slight difference from the rest of my body. I'm taking one lippie off since I'm using this not for the face as intended but on my neck and hands. It's too oily for the face.

I love this product. :) This lotion is specially targeted at people with oily/combination skin, and since I'm one of those people, it suits my skin very well. I apply it right after I wash my face, and my skin just drinks it up! It's my 3 in 1 moisturizer, sunscreen, and makeup base. When you first apply the lotion, it will leave a slight white cast on your skin. If you have very light skin, it'll probably blend in, but if you're brown, like me, then yeah you'll see it. XD Just wait a few minutes, and the cast will eventually fade away. I really like how this product has SPF in it. I'm lazy when it comes to putting on thick sunscreen, so this makes my job a lot easier. The only thing I don't like about the 30 ml bottle is, that well, it really is a small size for such a nice product. This is not available in the States, so I have to order online and pay a whooping amount for the small size. Is paying almost $7 for this small lotion bottle really worth it?? Well for me, yes, yes it is. :) It's my HG moisturizer! I think I'll order the larger bottle next time.

i got the kind in the bottle not the jar from sasa. this makes my face glow from all the oil that i get when i put this on! yes it makes my face white when i first apply, its lik a slight white cast and if u rub or scratch your face after u apply u see the white cast rubbing off and is impossible to blend back in unless you like add water to your face. it has a strong fragrance to it that kind of bothers me. i cant use it alone, i mix it with other creams but i really dont like this haha. its oily, has a cast, fragrance - AND so i stopped using it for a while and started again for only 2 days and i got little white pimples on my face :?

Among all the whitening products that i have used, this is one that really, evidently delivers its result !
2 years ago, i received a sample .....and after using it for 2 months, my skin was noticeably a lot fairer. However, i stopped using it as i felt that my skin was getting too 'transparent'....it is somehow scary as i felt that this was thinning my skin out too much. While it has SPF, however, as usual I found Olay's formulas to be a little oily.
I've personally heard plenty of people whom experience REAL NOTICEABLE whitening using Olay's whitening range.

This is the best daytime lotion I have used so far! It has a nice smell, moisturizes very well without feeling greasy (it's a very good makeup base), lightens my skin tone (without looking like I put on a white mask), and it has SPF15 with a PA++. It's a huge bottle (150mL). I will definitely rebuy this lotion when I can find it.

uhmm I don't like this because everytime I use it it can make my face become so oily (maybe it'e because i have an oily face) so when I apply it to my face it's become too moist and then it makes my face very oily and I don't think I will repurchase this.. :(

i've been trying many lotions and the majority of them have little effect on my patches of dry skin.
when i finally bought Olay white radiance lotion i loved it instantly.
my skin absorbed it really well without feeling greasy or still feeling dry. the whitening effect, i believe does a pretty good job. subtle.
not sold in store of canada. asia mostly. so i bought two to last me for a bit.

I thought I was going to love this. It's very similar in product and packaging to the Superdefence from Clinique. However there's one major difference which is the fatal flaw for this product. It's impossible to apply under makeup. It rubs off and leaves "eraser dust" all over my face especially the hairline. I've tried to make this work but it's just not possible so I threw mine out. I gave it two stars instead of one because this might work for those who don't wear makeup regularly. Mine is the cream version of this Olay White Radiance series with SPF 20. Will not buy this ever again. Will by the real thing (Clinique Superdefence) instead though more expensive.

My favourite day time skin moisturiser. I have to say I'm generally impressed. I used UV whitening lotion spf 19.
Good points:
-extremely effective at removing skin inflamation
-lightened my skin tone by a few tones overall
-makes my skin look radiant
-accentuated all of my best features like my cheekbones, with it's radiant glow
-beautiful smell
-Cheap where I get it
-seems to protect my skin from other climate like wind and cold.
-minimized pores
Bad points:
-because my skin tone lightened, my black bags from lack of sleep came through more clearer.
-blackheads are slightly more noticeable.
-is just right for my T-zone area, but it can dry my cheeks sometimes (doesn't provide adequate moisture for this area)
-stings if it gets into the shaving area after I've shaved (so be careful if you're a male)
A good tip is to buy the olay multi radiance uv lotion SPF15 ( which doesn't necessarily whiten but protects), which can be found at alot of cosmetic/department stores, and mix it with the UV white radiance. Then you get the glow and protection of white radiance, with the vitamin content and moisture of multi-radiance.
I'll be stockpiling this.

I found this cheap at my local asian grocers and bought it because I wanted a fairly high spf moisturiser. I am allergic to octyl methocinnamate which is one of the ingredients in Olay's spf 30 product. White Radiance has an spf 24 and has the added bonus of a high concentration of niacinamide. I don't really believe this will help fade any existing age spots, but that it will help prevent any future ones. This is a light lotion, not quite as moisturising as Olay sensitive lotion with spf 15, and it does tend to leave a slight sheen to the skin. However it has not made me break out in pimples and it does protect against sun damage, so I can put up with the slight sheen. All in all, a good product. This is technically not available in Australia, you won't find it at the supermarket or chemist, but you may be able to find it in some asian grocery stores.
Edit - I originally put that I would rebuy, but have changed my mind as I found a serum that works beautifully underneath sunblock and actually does even skintone, which makes this product basically redundant.

I don't know if it lightens my dark spots and scars. My skin is sensitive/oily type, I feel that by applying it before my make up, it makes my face even oilier. Therefore I do not use it in the day, but in the night.

i've been using this since my high school days (about 8+ years ago?), and I really like this moisturizer. i like its whitening properties, although i'm not sure if it's really even fading my mild freckles. it also serves as a great primer for mineral m/u as well. i find myself using this year round because it's light enough for the summertime, but packs on enough moisture for the winter time. OH, and it has spf 17 too! my only gripe is that this product is only sold in Asia, so i stocked up on it (it's inexpensive, so i was able to do so ;P) when i went back to HK last christmas. haha, imagine a suitcase filled with nothing but boxes and boxes of moisturizers, makeup and masks. gosh, i love being a girly girl :)

I was able to used this product last year and I loved it. It didn't made my face oily considering I live in a tropical country. Dark spots on my face seemed to have lighten up and I noticed that after applying it to my face it gives that certain "glow". Sometimes I don't need to wear make-up just apply this to my face and I still look great. Will buy this product again.

This moisturiser is damn good. It really lightens my dark spots in 2 weeks. Cannot be used during the day coz it will leave a white cast/film on yr face like a ghost...Now my face is brighter. Its dirt cheap, so no harm trying!

I put this product under my sunscreen, and I have to say that this is going to be one of my skincare staples from now on. This acts as a whitener, sunblock and moisturizer all in one and is also a great make-up base. Keeps my face matte and shine-free during the day while the sun protection benefits are also evident. My skin has become clearer, more even-toned and radiant with this. You have to blend this in carefully and give it a few seconds to settle before applying foundation. Overall, a great product and my experience with Olay's whitening range has not disappointed me so far.
