Ladies, I just read that rosemary oil which happens to be the first ingredient listed is strongly advised against during pregnancy. Not sure why Clarins, whose products I normally like, would not do their research or label the product appropriately with safety warnings.
In general, essential oils are not recommended during pregnancy.

I love this stuff. I call it liquid gold! It costs a fortune. But I can find it on eBay for a little better price. It makes my skin so, so smooth. I have keratosis pilaris (those bumps on the backs of my arms) and this totally helps. I have recently lost about 65lbs, and I attribute my still-tight skin to this product! The scent is very relaxing. I put it on after a hot shower or bath and I am ready to relax and sleep well. Great product, I'm sold!

I really like this oil. I like it a lot better than Neutrogena body oil because of the scent and the oil and it doesn't go milky. This Huile Tonic Oil is so perfect to add on to your favourite body lotion. You apply the oil on to wet skin and you are supposed to shower it off once applied, but instead, I towel dry. There is no oily residue, so there is no worries that it would ruin your blouse if you put that on right after. I usually put it on at night and apply Clarins body lotion during the day. This instantly cured my severe dry patches of skin on my body thanks to dry, cold winter. The scent is not too offensive and I can apply on my favourite perfume on top with no issues.
As for the bottom of my feet, they are so dry with a bit of pain on one part of it where there is a deep wrinkle that feels so dry and tight. After one use, the skin does not look dry and my skin feels more comfortable. The good news is that it is not greasy or drying like dry oil can be.
I really love this and would by another to prepare for next winter. If I have any left from this bottle, I would use it up in the summer for the bottom of my feet, knees and elbows.
I am so tempted to try the other body oil from Clarins that promise to help keep your skin firm.

This smells great and it is very moisturizing. However, I did not notice any "toning" or improvement in the stretch mark I have on my thigh. So expensive, and it did not do as promised. I will not be buying this again. Better off with Palmers cocoa butter :)

Love this. Have used it several times. Smell divine. Skin silky soft. I usually put it on just after the shower. I don't do the shower off afterwards. I do not have any stretch marks . I alternate this with Palmers cocoa butter formula. Great product. Go on, treat yourself..you are worth it!

Really amazing product. I've been using it for a week now but I can't wait to review it! It have already made my stretchmarks less visable! I don't have many but I have a few on my hips and thighs. This really smooths them out and as I follow up with HD bodylift (clarins) and Shaping creme it really works for me and my body.
The only bad thing about this is the bottle. It's not handy at all - but it's really beautiful at the bathroom shelve - they could at least have put a cap on top of it to make it easier to handle..

I got both the expensive Clarins body treatment oil and Palmer's cocoa butter body lotion to try at the beginning of my pregnancy. The direction of this treatment oil is a little confusing-"apply before shower??". But i applied it after shower instead. I was using it on and off but I used a lot more Palmer's cocoa butter lotion instead because of the high price for such a small bottle. I was 5'6 and 108 lb before the pregnancy and I gained 40 lb at 32 weeks already. That was when I started to notice I got some stretch marks on my thighs. But my belly was okay, no marks at all! That's because I didn't know better and only applied Palmer's to my belly. LOL. So I must give credit to Palmer's. I stopped using Clarins at that point and continued to use Palmer's since it was working for me and it only costs a fraction of the price. Now I'm 11 months post-partum and my strech marks all faded after using Palmer's. I guess the 3 star is for the price and effectiveness ratio. If I had to use the Clarins body treatment oil all over my body throughout my pregnancy, I would have to spend $$$ for several bottles of these but I would receive the same if not better result from Palmer's which only costs $6 for a 8.5 fl oz bottle from Walmart. So yes, it probably works, but is it cost effective? No really.

Another great body product from Clarins. Like others have stated before, I have been using this during my pregnancy and no stretch marks so far. It also leaves my skin soft and moisturized. Nice smell too altoght it has no staying power. Will repurchase for sure.

Like so many others who've reviewed this, I used Clarins's Huile Tonic with all 3 of my pregnancies (a new pregnancy meant a new bottle). I gained over 50 lbs with each child (fortunately, I lost it each time too) but don't have a single stretch mark and, rightly or wrongly, I credit this oil. It's a wonderful, natural product that has the most soothing herbal scent. It left my skin - especially on my belly - feeling soft and lubricated and ended the dreadful itchy belly you can get during pregnancy as the skin is stretched and pulled. I still use this oil from time to time, along with the other products from the same line - the shower gel, the lotion and - best of all - the scrub, which is probably my favourite scrub of all time.

This is a great product. The trick is to apply it on moist skin and follow with a light splash of cool water. The feeling of freshness you get in the morning can't be beat. I too would love for the smell to last a little longer since it's very energizing.

I used this with both of my pregnancies and have virtually no stretch marks. I used it all over my body (not just on my belly) while pregnant. It also reduced my cellulite. I also believe the aromatherapy oils must have penetrated somehow through to the placenta--both of my children are very well balanced, mellow children. Ayurvedic theory supports this hypothesis! Anyhow, I am currently using this as I am trying to drop 10 pounds (getting remarried this summer) and don't want to get stretch marks from the weight loss. I also love the glass bottle, it is very eco-friendly (glass is endlessly recyclable). I go through a bottle a month, and use it right after showering, before drying off. I let it soak in a while (do my ironing, hair, makeup, etc.)
Sephora will give you a free sample if you ask them; I've noticed the Clarins counters have been stingy lately with their samples.

I started using this a month ago (my sweet SO treated me to this) as I am six months pregnant and really wanting to keep my skin as elastic and moisturized as possible of course :) Unfortunately it's performance earned it a trip back to the store.
Pros:
Smells great! Kind of reminds me of Aveda Shampure.
It does seem to moisturize some, but not nearly as much as I would expect from an oil.
All-natural always good, impressive ingredient list, features hazelnut oil as the base.
Cons:
Doesn't absorb well, I spend about 15 minutes massaging a liberal amount in after a warm shower and I don't get the moisturized feeling I anticipated. Moderately moisturizing I would say.
The packaging leaves something to be desired, as others stated.
I would say leave this one at the counter. I just ordered some Coconut and Mango Body Butters from The Body Shop because I know they won't let me down, and I'm not taking any chances right now!

I use this daily after I shower. Alternate between this and the Anti-Eau. I like this smell better, but enjoy both very much. Expensive, given that I go through a bottle a month. But this makes my skin soft, smooth and supple (latter may be from exercise). The smell is divine.

25 years ago I used this product when I was pregnant. I had 3 kids and no stretch marks. I think it is excellent -- it has been around a long time an really works. It's expensive, but you only need a few drops after showering.

I really enjoy using this product. it smells very gentle yet soothing. Its very moisturizing and keeps my skin nice and lovely. However, i find the oil itself quite thick and takes quite a bit of effort to apply and so I usually mix it with a little bit of some body lotion. I HATE the packaging, it always goes everywhere when i try to pour it out. they need to improve on the packaging.

I'm around 20 weeks pregnant right now, and I bought this along with the Clarins stretch mark cream a few weeks ago. I already had stretch marks before becoming pregnant, from gaining & losing a lot of weight many years ago. I definitely was not expecting this product to erase or diminish my existing stretch marks - I just wanted to make my skin more elastic to prevent new ones. I am confused by the directions, which instruct you to apply the oil & then take a cool shower. I do the opposite, I apply it AFTER the shower. The texture is nice and light - it sinks into the skin pretty quickly. I've always like Clarins products - they feel so luxe on the skin. I love that this oil is all natural & made from plants, but I'm not too crazy about the smell. I was hoping it would smell like Clarins' Eau Dynamisante, but instead it's just like lemon Pledge. The smell sticks in my clothes, too, so I have to keep smelling it. The oil is messy to apply - it's a glass jar with a large opening (maybe a tube would be better?) I need to wash my hands vigorously to get it off. I haven't noticed any new stretch marks, so maybe the oil is working, but I alternate using it with the Clarins stretch mark cream, which I like a lot better. I just don't like the stickiness and messiness of this oil. Even though I rub it in thoroughly, I feel like I can still feel it on my skin all day. That plus the smell, price, and packaging makes it a really average product for me - 3 stars.

This oil is really expensive for the amount offered,I used mine in 2 month applied twice a day.BUT it is soo thick and smells soo beautifully, packed with essential oils, and main thing is I used it at the end of pregnancy /note that I used it for 2 pregnancies,as I have 2 kids/,and I have no stretch marks at all.Not even one.I honestly think stretch marks is mostly genetical gift, but I think good take care about the skin during pregnancy can be very helpful. At least the feeling that you do something good for you skin to prevent. I wouldnt use it first 3 month of pregnancy as it is wasting of your cash, the skin doesnt stretch yet.
Yes I would definitely buy again and again, even not for pregnancy usage,it is simply heaven to apply. :)))

This oil is amazing. My skin is so soft after I use it. I really feel like my skin benefits from it. I tend to have dry skin on my legs, this is where I use the oil. My skin is no longer dry and flaky, it is softer and goes beyond a body lotion. I have used this for years now. I am always open to try new things but always come back to this. I recommend it year round. Great stuff!

this is a great product for strechmark, well it doesnt make ur strechmark go away for 100% (which is non product/technology can do it),but it will reduce it.even when u're using it while pregnancy.i've already prove it for my both pregnancy..
of course i'll buy it for my other pregnancy time :)
