i actually didnt bought this product, when i run out my foundation, my sis gave this to me because she doesnt use foundation that much, anyway, ive been using this foundation for almost 2months, i like it, but dont love it,
pros
- nice coverage
- easy to blend
- looks natural
- matte finish
- the colour really matches with my skin
cons:
- my skin will look oily in 4-5 hours
so i take one lippie off because my skin will still look oily in midday!

Received a bunch of these as testers... This foundation has very thick and heavy coverage. Too thick for my taste. Didn't break me out or do anything damaging to my skin. It just felt like it was unable to breathe.

Got this from a swap, though I think it is discontinued.
Better than expected, gives quite a flawless finish, matte but not overly so. Coverage is probably medium, and it will need a concealer. Doesn't hydrate as much as it implies.
However, this emphasizes flakes, and is probably a 'good skin day' only foundation.

Jolly gosh!
I have been using this product for a year and a half now. Today I ran out and went to buy the tube again, but...sadly... it has been discontinued.
RIP Sense Matte by Biotherm.
It was so perfect. Glided on smoothly.. no thickness.. no smell... perfect coverage 4 acne/greasy skin... non comedogenic...SPF15...long lasting...
So sorry you had to go.
But anyway, they put something called "Matte Pur" instead. I guess I'll have to try that instead. Wish me luck.

This is my first tinted moisturizer, and I like it.
I am an NC30, and I bought this in shade 145.
In terms of PRICE, considering the quality, it isn't so bad.
In terms of PACKAGING QUALITY, I like how it's in a small, flat plastic container that I can take with me anywhere. There's a con, however. There are times when I unscrew the cap when the bottle is upright the product comes right out, and I end up with too much. But this is fixable, just flip the bottle over and tap it so all the product falls to the bottom. Then unscrew the cap off like that.
I also love the fact that it has SPF 15.

finally!!A foundation that can deal with my acne-prone skin. After trying so many different brands with all of them making my acne worst..Im going to settle on this.
why i love it :
1) It goes on easily, leaving a matt and powdery finish. No powder or touching up is needed.
2) Good coverage : leaves ur face looking glowy and fresh
3) Doesnt feel cakey or too thick..In fact it leaves a very light feeling on the skin.
4) I hate it when foundations are smelly and this one has no smell
5) Most importantly it does not cause pimples to pop up on my acne prone skin
Why i might not love it that much :
1) I find the bottle hard to use..the moment i open my bottle it leaks out, causing me to have too much foundation on my hands.
I definately will continue buying Biotherm foundation =)

I really wanted to like this foundation. It went on smoothly and left a nice, powder soft coverage on my skin. Unfortunately, the colour match was poor for my skin tone. Colour 130 was way too dark so I exchanged it for for 120 which looked good when first applied, but then became too orange as the day wore on. It didn't completely control oil all day, but wasn't terrible. If you can find the right colour, I highly recommend this foundation.

I tried this foundation because i have a mixed skin and i hate how at the end of the day my nose and chin look greasy but my cheecks still look good. I don't have that problem with this product. My skin stays matte through the whole day! it also makes my skin feel really soft and silky. The only thing i didn't like that much about it is how the coverage isn't everything. It covers up most things but i have pretty big pores on my nose and you can still see those, if it had solved that little problem too I would have gotten myself a lifestock.
Overall a very decent product IMHO!
EDIT: this foundation started flaking after about half a year of use. everytime i put this on after an hour or so it seems to crumble of my face though its definetly not past date yet. it seems the quality is going down overtime. took of some lippies for that, it's not suposed to do this.

i wish i can give this 3.5 lippies. this has been my staple foundation for quite awhile and i am onto my second bottle of this. i find that a bottle lasts a very long time and the foundation itself has great staying power itself too. even after a session of hot yoga, its still intact. the coverage is medium, but at times i find it abit too heavy on me- it sits there and i feel that i'm wearing makeup. the matte finish looks great when i just applied it but after a while or so my t-zone becomes shiny again & will need blotting. another thing that the reviewer below me mentioned, is that you need smooth normal-oily skin to wear this. in the winter months i find when my skin gets a bit dry this foundation will make the dry areas much, much more noticeable. all in all, a decent foundation but not one i would stay with.

im in love w dis product!!!! i have oily skin.. my T-zone is extremely oily but durin the winter.. my skin gets a little bit dryyyy anyways..this foundation covers my acne scars pretty good.. its not perfect..but since i prefer natural look, it doesnt matter.. n its stayin power is great! n it looks more natural when dis foundation blends wit your skin! I love it... my oily skin doesn't look ugly oily wit this foundation.. It makes my skin like natural glowyy or dewy when it blends with my oil! lol o.. one thing that I don't like..is it actually highlights dry spots!! but since i have oily skin.. it's not that serious.. so overall.. It works good on me.. price is not too bad.. I will repurchase it! It's like my 5th bottle.. I tried clinique, bobbibrwon,n mac when I got bored of this product, but i keep comin back to this!

After reading the wonderful reviews about Sense Matte foundation and having it recommended to me by other MUA members, I decided to purchase it myself. I'll admit that I had high hopes for this foundation, but I was disappointed.
Sense Matte hardly provided the medium coverage that this foundation boasts. On my combination, acne-prone, sensitive skin this foundation performed more like a sheer tinted moisturizer. For some reason - probably because of the SPF15 in this foundation - Sense Matte did absolutely nothing for my oily T-zone. Even after exfoliating, this foundation accentuated dry areas of my face and provided little to no oil control for my forehead and nose. In fact, I prefer my Make Up For Ever Face&Body foundation over this as far as coverage goes. It's also hard to find an accurate color match, especially since the lighter shades aren't available in the US; I had to custom-order from another country.
The packaging is fairly plain and no-nonsense, but the foundation bottle (more like a squeeze tube with a twist-on cap) isn't exactly well-designed. As soon as I twisted off the cap - without even squeezing the tube - foundation came running out. I applied it to the back of my hand first, and then applied it from there with a foundation brush and cosmetic sponge.
Overall, I believe that this foundation was a waste of money. I was eager to believe that this product was as good as the reviews (it's certainly not) and my curiosity simply got the better of me this time.

I'd absolutely buy this product a million times!.
I just love it. It's matte but it doesn't make your skin look like paper, as your skin can glow a little through it.
I have oily skin but my nose is EXTREMELY oily. This foundation works great on my whole face, it looks so natural, it "mixes" with skin and doesn't look like a mask over it.
There is something strange about this foundation. Since I'm wearing it daily I've stopped having break outs often. I couldn't believe this as I always thought make up would be bad for acne-prone skin. But I tried wearing it some days, stopping, and now wearing it daily and I can say by now that it really stops my breaking out!
The only problem with it is that the lightest shade sold in my country is 130, so I have to buy it in another country as my shade is 110.
Coverage is another excelent point. It makes my pores look muuuuuuuch smaller (many of them just disappear with this). Oh, and I don't have to use concealer!
I love love love love love this.
With MAC blot powder over it it stays absolutely shine free for around 6-7 hours (and this is a real record for me, as my nose is REALLY oily...).
Price is another good point, I would even pay more for this if necesary (hope Biotherm's staff never read this, lol).

Lots of staying power (very hard to get it off the foundation brush even with soap and warm water).
Found a shade that's an OK match, but not as good a colour match as I found with MAC.
Controls oil OK (my skin is VERY oily) and also has SPF.
Downside is that if you have any dry skin areas it will really highlight them / make them look worse.

I Love this foundation! It's the best i ever use. It's my secret weapon when i need to cover myself~~
I have oily skin, acne, but this foudation does everythin i need. The longer i wear it, the more natural it looks like. It controls oil very well, after 4 hrs applying it on my face, i need to put on some power ( this is the best record). Lots of foudations are oil free, but not oil control. Usually, after 1 hr, they will turn out shinely.
Currently, i am using 120, and i have 130 too. 130 is a little bit too darker for my skin, but i think it would be perfect in summar. I have Bare Mineral foundation 2.0 (fairly), which is too yellowish to me.
Again, i love it. The price is not bad at all. I got my first bottle for only $5 in Lancome Outlet Store.

i'm oily, acne prone, nc30 with big pores and some dry spotsbiotherm's sense matte foundation applies very nicely. it blends easily, i found a good match and it's quite sheer. it's matte at first but i found that it didn't really KEEP my skin matte and oilies appeared just as quickly as with other foundations. i also found it hard to build coverage without it emphasizing dry spots or making my face feel tight. maybe it's for someone more oily than i am. the staying power was great and it's a good quality foundation, one of biotherm's best imo. maybe i will try this again for summer, but i love chanel double perfection fluide for summer so.. maybe not

I was looking for something to replace my Estee Lauder Ideal Matte mousse, because it was too orange for my winter skin and because it kind of looked powdery, and I wanted something more silky and glowing ...
Finally found (thanks to the reviews here!) a foundation that covers well, stays put, looks great (natural and dewy, not flat matte) and has a color match for fair skin. I chose 115 and am so happy with it. Actually the first one, where I can apply an extra layer on my blemishes and will not end up looking orange or heavy.
Another pro is that it didn't break me out and doesn't seem to clog pores.
It is not perfect at keeping my shine at bay, but I did have a lot of running around in the past days, so you could say, that this one is definitely worth a try and its price. *)
Package is a bit disappointing - I'm still keeping the squeeze bottle in its box, cap upwards, so it wouldn't flow out by itself every time I open it.
UPDATE: I've been using it for some time and am not so happy about it now. If there are any slightest flaking spots, Sense Matte finds them and makes them stand out proudly! *( As result you get an overall tired, old, flaking look. I tried to moisturize a bit more with Kanebo moist emulsion (which leaves a thin layer on skin) and the foundation just stayed on my hands instead of sticking to the face. *)) I'll keep it while I'm still pale, because it is a good color match, but as soon as I'm tanned, will switch to something else - Guerlain Fleur de Teint Ultra Mat, maybe.

I didn't expect this to perform as well as it does. I needed a foundation with good coverage and able to deal with my oily face, and this does just that.
I still get oily, but I yet have to find a foundation that prevents that completely.
Other than that, it is easy to apply, covers well (I'd say medium coverage, but if you layer it it still doesn't go cakey), I still need to use a concealer though, and looks very natural. The color match is very good also. I wish the container was bigger, but since it's not that expensive, it's no big deal.
EDIT-compared with other foundations, especially MMU, the oil control is pretty bad. I still like the coverage, but I'm taking off another lippie.

This is as good as it gets. If you have sensitive/acne-prone/oily skin, and have problems with makeup caking/sliding off/rubbing off/fading/turning weird colors, this is definitely something work looking into. I currently use the foundation in 130 (matches my skin pretty well, I use "Light 2.0" in Bare Escentuals, "Oatmeal" in Origin's SilkSheer (perfect match), and I think I'm MAC NC30). It's pretty pricey - a small tube that's $24, but worth it. I'm willing to look hard for the cheap eye makeup and lipstick, but there's no bargaining when it comes to foundation. The first time I used this, I had put on Smashbox Founation Primer, sponged this stuff on, and set it with MAC Studiofix. I went out for a night of heavy clubbing (I was covered in sweat by the end of the night). My makeup looked close to perfect by the end of the night! I was very very surprised... the whole night I was dabbing the sweat away from my face and I assumed that all my makeup came off with it too. I didn't look much different from when I left my house. As for regular use, I don't put on primer, but it still stays put pretty well after a setting of powder and my face is less oily than usual (but I still use oil-blotting sheets). I use a slightly dampened sponge to apply this... the sponge is pretty important for the application so I recommend The Body Shop's - it's really soft and not very porous like the cheap drugstore ones. It's sheer to medium (buildable) coverage, but even if you're looking for somewhat heavier coverage, I would recommend this because it looks very natural-looking and you can set it with some foundation powder/concealer to fit your needs. It's too bad there's not a wider range of colors because I think a lot of people with oily skin would really like this foundation. Of course there isn't one magical foundation for every type of weather/activity. If it's super windy/dry outside and/or I'm using a ton of BP gel my face gets pretty dry with the mattifying effect. If your skin is flaky/rough/bumpy, make sure you moisturize well before putting this stuff on. This foundation is hypo-allergenic, non-acnegenic, non-comedogenic, all those things. The sunscreen factor is another plus as well. Highly recommended if you're looking for a mattifying foundation.

Does everything I want it to do. Stays put and stays matte for most of the day, blends extremely well with a foundation brush, has spf 15, feels like I have nothing on. The only gripe I have with this is the size. I wish they could be more genorous with the amount they give you. Nonetheless, a worthy product.
