Bought the trio set: serum, night gel and sheer transformations cream. I applied this after the serum and under the sheer cream at night. A few times, I used this during the day but it balled up. I don't like using this trio during the day for the lack of SPF. I didn't have any reactions to this but it made my skin feel tight as if I applied eggwhite. It didn't feel greasy or tacky but the eggwhite feeling made me feel as if I am causing myself more wrinkles. I feel gross when I have to dip my fingers (even after I've washed) into the jar. For the price of a full jar, I wouldn't repurchase. I think the price is too high for the poor result but Makeupally won't let me go higher than a 3 rating.

Came in the 3 little wonders mini set from Ole Henriksen. The invigorating night gel is an interesting product. I've never had a problem with it balling up. Perhaps if you use too much or too much product underneath? It does feel good going on and dries quickly enough. Waking up, my skin appears smooth, fresh and radiant.
I think it has its uses for various skin issues. I use it a few times a month in rotation with my other products that refine my skin. It contains AHA's, vitamins and botanicals that refine the skin, hydrate, smooth and firm. I have to agree. I won't use it on a daily basis, but will apply it at least a few times a week and like the results I see the next day.
I truly believe that when you vary your products and use a regular skin care regimen you'll see the best results for optimum usage. I do like this Night Gel. It's refreshing, smells good and is easy to use.

I just purchased this product and I have to say, so far, I am VERY impressed. I have used it three nights in a row, and the results are outstanding! My skin is noticeably more smooth, pores seem smaller and skin seems tighter. I start by washing my face, then use the gel and top it with Sheer Transformation Creme by Ole as well. It is a fantastic combo. I would highly recommend this product. It does have a tingly feeling when first applied, and it dries quickly. So, for those that are getting some balling up of product, it's because you are rubbing it in too much. It's a gel, so lightly apply a thin layer and smooth it over your face. No need to rub in, it is not a moisturizer. The only thing I would change would be the packaging. If it were in a pump type bottle it would much easier to use the right amount of product. Regardless thus is a minor negative, bc this product WORKS!

This night treatment containing glycolic acid works! It stings a bit as you put it on. In the morning skin is visibly smoother and brighter. The scent is very yummy.

I wanted to like it but it was way too harsh on my skin. Every night that I gave this a try, the next day that I woke up, my face was bright red.

First off: do NOT use this on dry/sensitive skin. It is highly effective on acne/breakouts and MEANT for oily skin - therefore you should only use it on problemareas (it can also be used as spot treatment, yay)

I use it on my cheeks where I tend to get really ugly red pimples/breakouts and it really does keep the problems at bay. It takes some time to seer esults, but they are worth waiting for as it makes my skin a lot smoother and less inflamed. The reason I only gave it a 4 is beacuse it takes about a week before you see the first results (with nightly use) but after that the skin just keeps getting better and clearer.

Edit: be aware: this is very drying and therefore only for oily skin.

This products is just o.k. I didn't see an improvement in my skin at all. The only thing I did notice was if I was going to get a pimple, using this every night, by morning the pimple was gone. My skin is mostly dry so I don't have that issue. If you had mild acne I'd try this.

I'm on the fence with this product. It is a cooling gel with a slight displeasing scent that dissipates quickly. Apply too much, and it can be sticky. It contains algae extract and AHA, which is important in my routine because they help keep my acne-prone skin clear. The AHAs in this are gentle but effective. However, I prefer Dr. Dennis Gross AHA pads for this purpose. If you don't like pads, this is my next choice. Invigorating night gel would be best for oily to combo skin.

I received this in the Three Little Wonders set, and it's surprisingly my favorite product of the bunch. For reference, I have normal to dry skin that isn't prone to breakouts but I do have some blackheads on my nose and enlarged pores on my cheeks. When I first started using the Invigorating Night Gel, I used it for a week before stopping because I didn't see a difference in my skin. However, I noticed that my skin looked duller and drier when I stopped using the product. Now, after three months of using it nightly, the pores on my cheeks have basically shrunk to nothing, I have less blackheads on my nose (and the ones left are smaller), and the evenness of my skin has improved. The product itself is a clear, tangy-smelling (I can imagine it being off-putting to some) gel that spreads easily and dries quickly. I apply it after cleansing and toner by spreading a thin layer with circular motions using my fingertips, and I've never experienced balling. The packaging would ideally include a pump considering how thin the gel is, but the jar isn't too fiddly (just make sure your hands are clean before touching the product). Overall, I don't think this would be an essential product for everyone, but it is worth trying out. It's a great product for my skin, but my skin problems are very minimal.

No matter how many times and different ways I try to apply this, it balls up! I tried to pat in the product, but it balled up immediately. Then I tried to rub in, it balled up again. I did a search on how to properly apply this product, several people said it balls up because it dries very quickly, they said it will not ball up and absorbs very well if it's rubbed in quickly. I tried that, just put a little on each sections of my face and worked quickly. But it did not work, it still balls up. Then I thought maybe this doesn't go well with my other skincare products, so I changed what I was putting on before using this (such as serum and toner), tried several combination, didn't work. I'm not going to stop using my other skincare products just because this doesn't work for me. I gave up on trying to make this product work for me!

Why did I not try this product sooner? It has been an absolute savior for my skin.
I apply a fairly thin layer every night and it has truly improved my skin in texture, tone, and overall appearance. People have even commented about the difference in my skin. I've tried a thicker layer and that caused it to ball up a bit, which was not a lovely effect, so stick with thinner applications. There is a slight scent that isn't the greatest, but it's not strong or offensive. The price is a bit high, but it's worth it to me and it helps that only a little is used at a time. I received mine in the 1 oz. size from the Three Little Wonders kit and plan on buying a full size once this jar runs out. A full size jar (1.7oz) is $45.

A pump would be nice, but I just make sure my hands are clean before applying.

Yes, I will buy again... and again.

After doing some research, I decided to try a product with glycolic acid. ( :P ) I LOVE THIS STUFF! I've been using it for about a month, and I'm loving the results so far. I use it only once a day, at night. I enjoy the gel texture and it smooths easily over the skin. I don't experience any tingling upon application. My skin doesn't have that tight, on the brink of cracking feeling to it when i use this. The scent is a little on the peculiar side, kind of a zesty, sour (citric like) smell. It's not a lingering scent, so I don't mind it. Also if you use the right amount, it won't get sticky. I am not a fan of the packaging, I use a q-tip to get the product out. Sometimes I end up plopping too much out, and I don't want to put the it back in the jar. What if it contaminates the rest of the jar? As for results, the overall texture of my skin keep getting better and better by the day. Also the stubborn, little flesh colored bumps in between my eye brows are disappearing. It's virtually wiped out all the little white heads on my chin underneath my bottom lip. I still have a few blackheads across my nose, but not nearly as much before using this product. I still get the occasional pimple, but since this gel has improved the overall health of my skin the larger pimples i do get are gone within a few a days as opposed to a few weeks. I would definitely buy this again! My skin glows with this :)
Edit 5/3/2012: After a few months this stopped working for me. I had a cystic acne flare up, and this didn't help it very much. Still a great product, it managed to get rid those pesky, flesh colored bumps in between my eyebrows. Not changing the rating, because it did improve my overall texture. I just needed to switch to something to address my current skin issues.

I'll admit that I'm a big fan of the Ole Henriksen line - pretty much all of it - but this is a standout product. I've got combination skin, super fair, and tend to have acne issues. If I get a zit, I look like Rudolph with a displaced nose. I've spent a lot of time trying to find a skincare regime that helps instead of hinders those particular issues, and I very firmly believe that this moisturizer helps exponentially.
The moisturizer itself is very light, dries quickly, and goes on smoothly. I don't use a whole lot of it, but I'm careful to ensure that an even layer goes on my entire face. I'm always happy with the results - my face is less greasy, the pores tighten and best of all, the acne issues come under control an awful lot more easily. I can always tell if I've gotten lazy and not been using this at night, because suddenly I've got acne everywhere.
It does tingle slightly when it goes on, and will be downright painful if you apply it to any sort of open wound. Just be a bit careful. However, my skin is *extremely* sensitive and this helps calm it down.
I've bought this for over a year now and am still thrilled with it! I wish it came in a pump format - that is about the only down side. And I do tend to think it loses some potency after awhile... when I break out a new jar after finishing an old one, the consistency of the gel is a little different and seems to work a little bit better.

I will repurchase this as long as they make it. The more time goes on, the more I appreciate this wonder gel.

Purchased as part of the Three Little Wonders kit. This stuff feels good going on (cool, a bit of a tingle), but as with the Truth Serum, with exposure I've really come to hate the smell -- cucumbers marinated in drain cleaner? Also burns something fierce if you have any patches of irritated or dry skin, or open cuts. (I had a little paper cut on my neck -- don't ask -- and this hit it and I thought I was going to die in the bathroom.)

The good:
No irritation after over a month of continued use of all three products. Skin texture is somewhat improved.

The bad:
The jar packaging is just awful. I'm getting leery of jars in general, what with contamination issues, but this gel in particular is thin and rather globby, and very difficult to get out of the jar in any amount without sploshing around in it. A pump of some kind would be much, much more suitable for this product.
It's stinky, and expensive.

Won't be buying this again.

Not a bad product on its own--it indeed tightens, reduces pore size, and helps reduce acne/scarring. However, it's expensive for what it is, and there are much cheaper and just as effective (if not more) alternatives out there such as mandelic acid, which can be found at GOW or any other organic store. I didn't see much of a difference between this and PTR's AHA/BHA gel, though PTR's is slightly more potent. Not bothered by the jar packaging, though I wonder about the ingredients losing their effectiveness due to constant exposure to air.

I love this. I got a sample from a Sephora SA and I'm so happy I did. I went out and bought it within a few days. It evens out my skin and makes it very smooth. I also noticed it shrunk my pores a bit. It helps control my acne, which is the main reason I like it. I already used a whole jar and I plan on buying another, when I have money... Also I didn't experience any burning/stinging effects when applying it.

I had used two jars of it. I hoped it could help with my problem skin, but beside feeling pain every time when I applied it on my face, I did not see any change or result. It might tighten the skin but that's all. I gave three points partly for that, and partly for it as a natural product.

This product is just ok. It hasn't made my skin outstandingly clear or anything. It's a cool gel that I apply thinly over my face. It takes a few minutes to dry. It's not very moisturizing, but the way it dries kind of seals in moisture, so skin doesn't dry out. This is best for combo/oily skin types.

Was given a sample of this at Sephora and I'm so glad the SA did that. Every morning after having applied the gel the night before I woke up to even toned skin and clearer pores not to mention any acne spots were greatly healed up and calmed. Any redness is totally gone or calmed down by 75%. After using this a couple times I was really afraid to look online to find out how much this gel costs as I have a habit of falling in love with pricey stuff. The cost isn't too bad, under $50, so I wasn't too upset but my big issue is that it comes in a jar. With all the opening and closing of the jar then the ingredients in the cream will break down faster not to mention it's unsanitary. I use a sterilized utensil to scoop things out of skincare jars but still I don't like buying creams in jars. I hope that Mr. Henriksen fixes this problem soon. My really moody and thin sensitive skin gets along with this AHA very much and it's not harsh on my skin at all. I use Alpha Hydrox oil free gel from time to time but it's so harsh if I use it longer than I would as a mask. This Invigorating Night Gel does for my skin what AH gel should but doesn't. Also a little goes a long way which is a bonus since the product, again, is so pricey. Great product and will keep using! EDIT 1/7/13 Bought another jar of this as it's become a great staple. Fights acne and keeps a lot of it at bay. It is also very moisturizing I've noticed recently and I'm so thankful it doesn't clog pores. Definitely an HG item and worth every penny. Also wanted to note that I keep this in the fridge which is great for a cooling effect on the skin. Never had it ball up and it goes on smoothly though I have to apply it quickly in sections. A little goes a long way and I don't need much. Lovelovelove this gel!
