Iíve been a Christian Dior junkie for a long time, since I can ever remember. One of my favourite Christian Dior products has been Capture R60/80 XP Yeux Wrinkle Correction Eye Cream.

I must note that the packaging quality of this product has changed. The cream used to be in a nice environmentally friendly glass jar, but now it is packaged in a plastic jar. It still does come with an elegant mini spoon applicator, and a silver tone lit.

The Capture R60/80 XP Yeux Wrinkle Correction Eye Cream has a nice and light non-greasy texture, easily absorbed, and it leaves skin soft and supple. Just as most of Dior products it has a lovely light scent too. Iíve been using this cream for several years now. And every time I applied it, I could see the plumping up effect instantly. However recently I had to switch to another eye cream, because the cream lost its effectiveness. Iím not sure if the Dior formula changed over the years, or Iíve migrated into different skin age category and the cream is not suitable for my age group anymore, or simply my skin got too used to it, and it was asking for a new different form of nourishment. I might return to it and give it a try in few years, but Iím not sure anymore.

I started doing research about ingredients in beauty products, and Iím more conscious about what I put on my face now days. The products that give me instant results, must also have a healthy ingredient composition. Christian Dior Capture R60/80 XP Yeux Wrinkle Correction Eye Cream has several lovely ingredients that are plant extracts such as Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract, and Potentilla Erecta Root Extract, both skin conditioning agents with anti-aging properties. However the eye cream is also loaded with lots of alcohol and ingredients which can cause a potential free-radical damage and collagen breakdown within my skin with daily use. In addition there are many parabens in the eye cream, and other ingredients like sorbitol, which research links to cancer. This has me concerned. Another ingredient that raises red flags is Propylene Glycol. Besides the fact that it is also linked to cancer, it is also mildly toxic. What's more Propylene Glycol is used by cosmetics manufacturers to enhance penetration of other ingredients Ė all ingredients not just the plant extracts and vitamins that are beneficial for our skin, but also the questionable toxic ingredients, that are known to cause irritations likes Citronellol, and Geraniol. If you care to see the full list of Christian Dior Capture R60/80 XP Yeux Wrinkle Correction Eye Cream ingredients, including info on the ingredients, please see my blog: http://oohlalabeadtique.com/blog-about-beading-tutorials-and-beaded-jewelry-info/56-personal/181-christian-dior-capture-r6080-xp-yeux-wrinkle-correction-eye-cream-review

In conclusion, even thou Iíve been a very big fan of Christian Dior over the years, and Christian Dior Capture R60/80 XP Yeux Wrinkle Correction Eye Cream did plump up my skin and minimized my crowís feet in the past I give it only 4 star rating. The eye cream hasnít been producing the same successful results lately, and Iím very concerned with its composition. I like to warn other users that regardless the fact that they might experience immediate results, and see an improvement in their skin, this might only be temporary. Dior eye creamís ingredients might actually cause more damage to the skin witch will surface later on. Truth of the matter is, there is no magic potion mix out there that can turn back the clock, but there are potions that can slow down the aging process, or do the opposite and speed it up. My advice is to research the ingredients before you apply any cream or a serum onto your skin.

This eye-cream, the package look very chic, just like the company name, and I guess this make it an irresistible buy for me.

However, after carefully reading the ingredients... I was shocked it actually contain "5", yes FIVE parabens. Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben!!!

Odd, in their pure hydration skin care lines, they actually promote those are made WITHOUT parabens, which means the company is fully aware parabens does absolutely no good to human body, why do they put 5 parabens in their anti-aging ingredients?? *Sadly, I've also purchase the R60/80 face cream set... and they ALL contain 5 parabens!*

If I ignore the ingredient list, the actual product is very emollient. Its RICH but emollient, which is very ideal for my dryer skin during winter. Although this does "Sting" a little on the first few second after application! Some of the reviewer already mention there are very few useful ingredient list in this eye-cream, so I don't believe this eye-cream has the potential to prevent lines and wrinkle. But it is a good daytime eye-cream under your concealer! I don't recommend this for night time usage due to lack of real anti aging properties.

The package is very chic, but difficult to get the product out. I always use the tiny spatula they provided. The scent is very mild, not too strong but not my cup of tea though.

It is 83$ in Canada, its expensive but quite a standard department store anti-aging eye-cream price point. But I don't think I would repurchase after I finish the jar for the amount of parabens they use.

This is a pretty expensive eye cream (received it was a gift) but it actually is a really nice product. The consistency is good - not to hard or soft, and I think that it did improve the fine lines around my eyes after a little bit of use. It wasn't a miracle cream or anything, but it felt good, smelled nice, and was luxurious to use.

I bought this during my trip to France. The SA raved about it. The product is okayish, it doesn't do anything for wrinkles, but it does help with puffy eyes. It's also expensive, so won't repurchase.

This was my impulse buy, & I did regret it for a bit after I purchased it as I hadn't even tried out a sample or read any reviews on it. I bought it in the hope to rectify dry itchy patches around my eyes. I don't know how I got them...my guess is that it might be a new eye primer that I have been using recently. Anyways, this cream will no doubt STING like crazy on broken skin like other reviewers have talked about but it has reduced the fine lines under my eyes for me. I have always been very skeptical about eye creams & believed eye creams are just like any other type of cream for the face, but I am starting doubting myself now.The cream made the skin around my eyes better in 3 days (and I had previously tried using face cream around the eyes, but it didn't make any improvement, even after a week). The packaging is delicate & pretty, a small spatula is included for you to scoop out the cream, however I would much prefer a pump style application though. The scent is very very mild, & I can barely smell it. Consistency is just right, not too thick, not too runny for me. It absorbs into the skin very quickly. I don't believe it helps with reducing bags under the eyes or dark circles. Overall I am quite relieved this helped to rectify the dryness around my eyes ^^ I took off one lippy because it's not in pump application.

I used to use this and now it has been replaced with the XP version, which thank fully is just as fabulous (just more expensive, funny how that works :-p). Having said this, this stuff is FABULOUS. I have tried a bunch of other eye creams and I keep going back to this - it is light, creamy to apply and keeps those pesky little lines at bay. Seriously, this stuff is magic in a pot as far as I am concerned. It doesn't make wrinkles disappear but it does improve the appearance of them and if used regularly (I have used it for years) it does help maintain a smooth, velvety under eye area with minimal lines. I am nearly 32 and I have less smile lines than most 25 year olds I know, and no sign of crows feet yet. I will use this forever, HG for me. Nothing else compares!

I really, really wanted to love this product... but after 3 weeks, I see no difference in my eyes. They may actually be worse. :(

The cream is nice and rich, no milla experienced, but I just didn't get anything from it that I wasn't getting from plain old Vit E oil. :(

I was looking forward to trying this because a friend of mine recommended it, she is absolutely raving about this cream.

For me it was a big fiasco. I tried it in the evening right before going to bed and had to run and wash it off due to the very uncomfortable burning that I experienced on my eye lids. Even though I took it off, I woke up with red-eyed and tired.

The burning and irritation aside, the smell was nice, but the formula was not rich enough for me and I did not feel my under eye area moisturized enough, in fact it felt rather dry after applying it.

Thankfully, I had a tester and am very happy that I did not invest into a whole jar of this cream....

My under eye feels so much smoother now and less puffy! you start seeing the results after an hour of the application. The problem is the effect does not lat the whole day! I reapply the the treatment! Great product. Even though there might be a better product out there to help with the dark circles better. I use this creme and on top I use the LaMer creme! I feel they work good together!
