So my lash eyelash curler review (for the Revlon one) said I was saving up for a Shu Uemera curler, but I broke down and bought this NYC one since it was only $3, and I needed a spare to keep in my gym bag's makeup kit. This is definitely is an improvement on the Revlon one!

For my eye shape, unfortunately this curler is a bit too wide and not curved enough, which is why I rated the "packaging" at 3 stars. This can cause my to pinch the edge of part of my lid if I'm not careful, and sometimes the outer lashes get pulled. Also, the spring in the middle of the curler kind of inhibits watching what you're doing when you curl. On the plus side, the metal this curler is made out of doesn't leave a residue under my eyes like the Revlon one does, and while there isn't as much squish when I squeeze the curler, I get more curl with less effort using this tool. It's so effective and so affordable, watching out for pinching my lids and pulling on outer lashes is something I'm willing to put up with.

Bottom line: far from HG, but this does a great job curling lashes.

Got this one after a difficult time with a Revlon curler, and this one worked way better than expected! It's literally shaped perfectly for my lids and has just the right amount of "springiness" to it. Plus the grips are purple which is my favorite color! Will def. repurchase until they stop making it.

Holy grail eyelash curler. It fits perfectly to my Asian eyelids and holds a curl well. The curler is quite sturdy for the $3 you pay for it and comes with a replacement pad. A good bargain.

I am pretty impressed with this eyelash curler. It doesn't pinch and gives me a better curl than anything else I've used. My only complaint is that it does not fit my eye shape very well and appears to be for flatter eyes. I would like to find a curler that works on my shape but I am very happy with how it makes my lashes look.

I have had this eyelash curler for about a year now, and its the only one that fits my eye shape and doesn't pinch my eyelids. It works well for the price.

Love love love this! I will never pay big $ again for an eyelash curler. I have a Shiseido one and the Elf one (too difficult to grasp my lashes). I actually like this one just as much as my Shiseido one. You can't go wrong for the price! It cups and grasps my lashes perfectly and curls them just the way I want my lashes curled. Plus it doesn't pinch my upper lid and I don't lose eyelash hairs with this.

This lash curler didn't curl my lashes at all. I threw it out after a couple of days and went back to the Revlon eyelash curler I've buy buying for years.

I really like this.I got this after my revlon disaster and and problems with elf's newer model. It really curls your lashes without tons of pressure or pulling.
The only CON is that the spring is attached poorly so it probably won't last as long.

I don't have much to compare this to but I say this curler does its job. My eyelashes are mediumish length and straight, and this gets them sort of curled on a good day but It can crimp them and make them bend at an unnatural angle. Lately especially i've been having problems curling my eyelashes in the outer corner with this, which are extremely long and like to face downward, So i won't say it's a perfect eyelash curler but it gets the job done and the curl usually stays for most of the day!

Not a good eyelash curler. The angle is difficult to work with, and the ridge is so sharp that it stripped my lashes. It's obviously cheaply made, would not recommend this.

I love this curler!!! It gives me the flirtiest lashes and the curl stays all day. It can pinch your eyelids if you aren't careful but I'm still getting used to it since I haven't had it that long. It does have a tiny price tag but it should be taken seriously. And this review is coming from someone who previously owned a Shu Uemura eyelash curler!!! Why can't all eyelash curlers be this easy????

Great eyelash curler! It is really cute with the purple packaging. It curls nicely but it does pinch my eyelids sometimes- not sure if that is my error or it's so it's not a flaw for me. This makes a beautiful curl and I can reach my inner corner eyelashes with ease. Will buy a new one when needed- I've had this forever!

I really love this curler. It's not bulky and it's very easy to handle. I really need to remember to replace the rubber base, but other than that it's does what I expect of it.

i purchased this eyelash curler in the 8th grade. i am now 23 years old and i still have this little gem and its in perfect working order. i cant imagine an eyelash curler functioning any better than this one. it really does its job- as it has been for the past ten years.

This eyelash curler is amazing! Does a great job curling my lashes. It came with an extra pad which was really nice. It was super cheap and looks really cute with the purple handles! I'm going to buy another one once the spring gets worn out.

Not loving it. I find that it's too wide to comfortably get to all of my lashes without pinching. And the pad is too firm for my taste, meaning I have to give my lashes a really good squeeze to get any curl, so I worry that this will break off my lashes. The curler I was using before had a bit more give to it, so I barely had to touch my lashes to get the curl I wanted (I'm pretty sure it's an older, black-padded version of the NYC curler. Too bad they don't seem to make it anymore.)

This one does the job, but I definitely have to be more careful with it so I don't break my lashes or maim my eyelid. Everyone's eye shape is different though, so for the price, I'd say go for it and see if it's for you.

This is the first eyelash curler I tried, mainly because it was so cheap. It works great! Sometimes though, if i use it the wrong way it leaves a weird dent in my eyelashes. Other than that, it's a great curler.

I just got this at Walmart for $2.69. Wow , great deal and it works perfectly!..I had a Revlon curler for forever ...but they don't make the refills that fit it anymore....they were rubber and thinner(and really did not last very long) than the ones you find nowadays....all I can find now are the smooth rounded refills ..the exact ones that fit this curler...Very happy with this lash curler. And it's got purple handles! lol
