I grew up with large maple trees all around my property. At the end of the summer, the trees would drop little wing-shaped pods that contained seeds. The pods would catch the air and spin like helicopter blades, scattering themselves all over the lawn and walkways. They were sticky, and would get tracked into the house on our shoes and my dogs' paws. Sometimes I would peel the layers of the pod apart and stick them on the end of my nose, just because it was one of those kid things to do. It would immediately make me sneeze. Jade, in its sweet green freshness, has an unmistakable note of green maple seed pod. Unfortunately, that sticky sweet scent irritates me now, and triggers my allergies! I looked forward to this one the most, so I'm most disappointed to find I can't wear it. I give it points for capturing that maple tree scent exactly, though. I just don't want to smell like it.

This was too sweet/heady on initial application. Then is fades to a clean, somewhat green sniff but still a bit too perfumey/floral for my taste. The lasting power is superb though.

This fragrance starts off light, green, and minty on me. After the drydown the mint smell goes away (thank goodness) and it is a fresh, wet grass after a summer shower kind of smell. I like it, but not enough to repurchase.

I got this as a sample from The Apothecary's Cat, and I must say I'm impressed. On my skin this oil smells like a mix of Chanel no. 19's soft greenery and the freshness of OJ's Osmanthus. It stays pretty much the same throughout, but it smells good the whole time. Very soft, very fresh and clean smelling. Great summer fragrance.

I got this as a sample so I'm not sure what the actual price and packaging are, so I gave them both "3s".
Dragonfly Blue "Jade" - Welcome to the Great Indoors!
Jade captures the experience of shopping in a cool, quiet shop in San Francisco's Chinatown, an escape from the impacted, grungy, pungent world that populates the other side of the high-rise and awning shaded pane windows. I can envision swatches and rolls of embroidered silk, jade statuettes resting on their rosewood bases, beautiful antique and not-so-antique pieces of jade jewellery - especially oily-surfaced carbochon rings and those smooth, cool, tube-like, one-piece Chinese jade braceletts - encased for display, oils and essences, incenses, pottery, minitures, silk pillows, silk tassels, carvings, carpets, and more - of course. The shop provides about every Eastern cliche for the West's purchase; "Jade" answers back! Excuse this overworked piece of writing, especially since DB Jade is not an overworked fragrance! Although it's described many times on MUA as "clean", to me it's kind of oily, yet direct and to-the-point, with its incensy-, furniture soap-like notes. The Dragonfly Blue (well to me) brand name unintentionally enhances its Eastern feel too. This just might be the most atmospheric scent I have ever tried.
Although it's by far not among my favorates to wear, I can't think of a scent that has made me think of a such a specific place as this one does. That's why, when writing this review, I changed it from 4 to 5 lippies. Bravo! Encore Jade! (Now I'll go back to the Dragonfly Blue site and decide whether to order 6 or 9 samples of their stuff. Another Jade is already selected.)

Yup, I agree with most reviewers here... DFB Jade is a lovely clean, fresh and herbally grassy green scent. It has a hint of floral, kind of like a very soft rose. Not one I'd wear often, but refreshing to sniff now and then.

Jade is my favourite scent from DFL. Its light, clean and sooo fresh!
And ofcourse the customer service is just outstanding. I love this company!

I didn't think I would like this when I sniffed the sample Lysa included with my order. But I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. It's a very green, clean, soapy scent with a bit sharp floral-ness. At first it tickled my nose and every time I sniffed it closely, I felt like I was going to sneeze. But I gave it a little while to dry down and it just smelled very clean and fresh. Great lasting power and "Jade" is a great name for it too. I'll get some more to wear this spring.

Clean,fresh,and soapy. I don't get any floral out of this,which is good. I can't really describe this,except that it reminds me of fresh clean skin right out of the shower,that smells like you used Irish Spring soap.

In the bottle, and when first on, this smells very fresh and pretty - like a jade leaf broken open, appropriately enough. But on me it faded to an overly sweet perfumey scent of the floral type you might find on an old lady. Guess it works better for others.
Still, great customer service, as everyone has said!

If you're looking for a clean, simple scent, this is it. Dry down makes it a bit soapy smelling, but I love that.

JADE- clean, fresh, green. Kind of reminds me of a laundry or fresh linen. Like clean clothes hanging on a clothes line catching a very faint lilac herbal essencey kind of breeze. This is one I keep sniffing over and over because it smells so good.

Of all the DFB scents in my sampler, this and Sappho are tied for first place in my book! I received this scent as part of my sample order and it's another keeper! To me, it smells like fresh cut grass after a spring rain or when the sprinkler's on it ... clean and green without the heady ozonic scent some scents have. This is a great one to layer other "green" scents ... it smells dynamite paired with Bodytime's Green Fig!

my fragrance-picky mom really liked this on me. cool.
smells like a fresh, perfect day outside in a field. and the packaging and customer service are (as everyone else has said) excellent. i'm surprised my nutty roommates didn't nick my beautiful-smelling package as soon as it came in the mail!
