I have used this product for years and it has become one of those things I just can't live without. The flimsy lid and its tendency to leak are the only cons I can offer. I apply it all over my body (except for my face) right out of the shower after towel-drying lightly (it locks in moisture while your skin is still damp) and follow up with body lotion (I'm using Vaseline Total Moisture, which is light and just moisturizing enough to let my skin breathe throughout the day). These two products together make for an easy, amazing, all-over skincare routine that keeps people asking how I got such healthy, glowing skin :) I will use this body oil for years and years to come!

I broke out in hives all over my shoulders and upper torso after using this stuff. I guess it kind of worked better on my legs but not as well as the Cetaphil lotion I'd always used.

Awesome! A girlfriend told me about this stuff when I was complaining about my skin being too sensitive for scented lotions (and my overall laziness when it comes to putting on body lotion). This stuff is so easy, I just put it on as I'm getting out of the shower...and if I'm feeling ambitious I put body lotion on a couple minutes later. This stuff smells clean and amazing, and my skin looks softer and smoother. My friends use it just before going out at night for a little extra sheen (I still have to try that). I'm just sad I went this long in life without it! (One more note--do NOT travel with this bottle unless you can keep it in a vertical position...no matter how tight the cap is screwed on, it WILL leak if tipped on the side.)

Leaves my skin feeling nice and soft :) I got a big family size bottle with a pump 32 oz at costco for 15.99, usually you get a bottle half that size for that price. I bought this back in january or feb and the bottle is still 3/4 full i even filled up a little bottle and gave it to my mom. The reason why i have it a four instead of a five is sometime i feel a little itchy later on in the day, i think it's because of the fragance from the body oil but it's nothing extreme. Also if you have excemza dont you use it on top of it will irritate the spot. Other than that it's a good body oil.

I loved this product at one time. It made me feel clean, cozy and rather posh. However, after many times over the years of trying to use this oil, I realised it just gets on everything. I mean, I apply it to my skin after a bath, and no matter how many times I wash my hands or whatever it gets on my face, and causes HUGE zits. Or it gets in my hair and makes it greasy. The bottle sucks, I don't know how many times Ive knocked it over, spilling the oil every where, and if not that, the bottle just magically leaks all over everything. I hate this stuff now and hiss whenever I come across an old bottle still kicking around. I use it now to lube mechanical things, like my exercise bike.
Yeah it smells great but that's where it ends. Oh and beware those with KP, it will turn a few bumps into huge inflamed arm/chest acne.

Oh, this stuff brings back memories!

9 years ago I went abroad for 6 months - v basic facilities - so I took all my toiletries with me at the start. I took a bottle of this stuff, which lasted almost the whole trip, used once a day after showering.

Did I mention that the facilities were basic? Well the food was VERY basic. I ended up going from fat to not nearly so fat, and lost a total of about 60 pounds (that's 4 stone)!

I think that was the best condition skin I ever remember.
Having lost all that weight, at age 33, my skin snapped back really well.

I heartily recommend this stuff, though nowadays, I think I might mix in a little of Weleda's Birch Body Oil to add anti-cellulite into the mix.

Although I say that I love rich, dessert-scented body butters and thick creams, when it comes down to it, I just don't use them. I have WAY more than I care to admit. So when I started getting dry and itchy this winter, I decided to go back to this little gem that had been hiding in my toiletry stash for a very long time. The love affair has now been rekindled.

This is a light, easy to apply oil that I gently rub onto damp skin immediately after a shower and it soaks in immediately. What doesn't soak in I simply pat off with a towel. I'm left with soft, glowing skin and really no greasy residue.

I find that the bottle dispenses a few drops at a time if I just tip it over and don't squeeze it. I use a few drops for each arm, likewise for the front and back of my torso, and then a few more drops than that for each leg. A little truly goes a long way, especially when skin is damp, which I find is key for proper application.

As for the smell, I'll buy the unscented next time, not because it's offensive, but because I'm far more sensitive to scent now after two pregnancies than I was in my 20s. Anything can produce a headache nowadays for me, and this is close to doing so.

I think the price is decent. However, I can get it at almost cost, which makes it even more appealing to me.

This oil is very light and has a pleasant scent. This is best when used after a shower. When added to bathwater, it really softens the skin and it's great for all body parts (skin, nails). Since this is an oil, it's runny so it's easy to spill.

THE BEST!! This stuff has gotten rid of my dry, scaly skin. I put it on daily right after my shower. In the dryer and colder months I use lotion too - and I think it makes your body lotion work even better. It leaves my skin glowing - just don't use too much or you'll shine!!

Works great on your cuticles too - I had gross toe nails and started dabbing this on them and they are in much better shape.

I like the smell - smells like summer to me! However, I have enough other scents going on that I will probably purchase the fragrance free version next time. The bottle is a nightmare - leaks everywhere when you use it - I always keep a tissue underneath or your shelves will get all oily. I might try a spray bottle like another reviewer suggested.

This stuff saves my winter skin. I use it to shave with and for all over moisture in the shower. I have not used it as a bath oil and would think it might leave the tub greasy but I don't have that issue in the shower. I generally splash it on all over after lathering up, rinse lightly, then towel off as opposed to applying after showering and it works for me. I prefer the scented version but there's no accounting for taste there. It's a slightly sweet scent I can't put my finger on but I prefer it over the unscented. I find it doesn't contradict my HG Amazing Grace perfume but it certainly leaves a fine wash of scent completely on its own.

I love this product. I use it right after I shower over lotion for double moisture/protection and it leaves my skin soft and smooth. My only qualm about the product is that it leaves my hands a little greasy afterwards but I guess that's expected b/c it's an oil. I'd definitely buy this again but probably the unscented version. (The scented version isn't bad but I simply prefer to use unscented products.)

I love the scent of this although if you don't like it there is a non-scented version. I use it after showers and put a some in my bath water and my skin is silky smooth! I occasionally use lotion in addition to this but I am able to go without it. I used to use baby oil in the bath and after showers but it always made the tub floor very slippery and took awhile to be absorbed. Not so with this body oil!

I LOVE THIS STUFF! Without fail, I apply the light sesame oil to my arms and legs right out of the shower every morning. Leaves me with a clean scent all day, and my skin has a beautiful, soft sheen. Bottle lasts forever--a little goes a long way. Bonus: Smells great with another daily staple--skin musk oil.

I always use body oils to moisturize and I go through bottles of the stuff like water -- that's the main reason I always go back to Neutrogena. It's so satisfying to buy that huge family style pump bottle at the drugstore or Costco. It's a very runny oil, yet fast absorbing and hydrating. It's sesame oil based so it sinks into the skin quicker unlike mineral oils -- less chance of pore clogging/irritation too especially for those who have sensitive skin. (NOTE: You must love the fragrance of this product because it clings to the skin the whole day.)

I love Neutrogena Body Oil since it works wonderfully right after a shower on my skin. I've used it off and on for at least 20 years. Keeps my skin soft, supple and thoroughly hydrated. During the colder months, I use this with lotion. However, in the summer months, I could use this and this only and be just fine. Oh, did I say that I have *extremely* dry skin? Yeah, it even works for skin like mine.

I'm in love this body oil;it's my all time HG body moisturizer. It may not be for those with very dry skin, but for my normal type skin it's the best.Anything heavier than this leaves me too greasy. It's so light and absorbs quickly, and the fragrance is very soft and pretty...smells like jasmine to my nose.(It may be too perfume-y for some people though.)I've tried everything from Nivea to Bliss, and nothing leaves my skin silkier.

I am completely unimpressed with this product. As a moisturizer it's only mediocre - I have used many creams and lotions that work better for my dry winter skin such as BBW creams (in any scent), LUSH Dream Cream, or even cheaper drugstore brands that I've picked up every now and again. Not only does it not moisturize as well as some of these other lotions adn creams, but it also takes a really long time to sink into my skin, leaving me greasy/oily for at least 30 minutes. Also, I have the Fragrance Free version of this and the smell, though not unpleasant, really isn't appealing.

When I bought this bottle (and it took me years to finally use it up), it cost $9.99 USD and it's really not worth that IMO. Just glorfied baby oil. You can buy the Johynson & Johnson version for 1/3 to 1/2 the price and it does a better job of moisturizing IMO. I won't be purcasing this again.
