At last, I found my HG powder foundation. I've tried so many brand before, EL Individualist, Clinique, Kanebo Faircrea, Lancome ... At the end of office hours, my face looks so pale and cakey. Nothing can help it except wash my face and start the foundation routine all over again. Very annoying if you want to go to other places after office hours. Guerlain Divinora Teint Expert Confort gives me smooth and velvety skin, even after few touch up. The coverage is only fair, so I combined with the liquid foundation & concealer ... Voila, I've got porcelain look skin face, perfect for gala dinner or party. For everyday use, I only use it alone after my moisturizer. No complaint. I use No. 613, it enhance my skin complexion. Definitely buy again !!!

I love this almost as much as the Fleur de Teint! Again, I purchased shade #613 from strawberrynet.com, but I also got #513 for the summer. I like both shades, and don't actually notice a huge difference between them. Great coverage, non-cakey, very smooth. I often use this over other foundations when I need extra coverage. I have dry, acne-prone NC15-C2 skin.

I got this in a swap with sweet Berty whose review is just under mine:)She's right,as I have normal to dry skin this foundations works better on me.It gives enough coverage and the result is flawless, brighter skin.I'm in love with the scent that Guerlain products have but if you're an *anti-scent* person, you might not want to try this. For others like me,it's a gorgeous, luxurious and useful product.

This is truly a gorgeous product. I would highly recommend it to anyone with normal or dry skin. Unfortunately it makes my oily/combo skin too shiny, too quickly :(, which is really disappointing (hence minus one lippie). But if you have not TOO oily skin, go for it - you won't regret it. So quick to apply (I applied it dry), lovely lovely luminous finish - sort of matte and translucent at the same time. Really makes the skin look even, flawless and fresh. I am one of the people, however, who hates the compact design! And rather big for carrying around. BUT don't let that put you off.

I purchased this foundation a couple weeks ago after finishing my Chanel Double perfection compact powder foundation (which I really liked), and I'm really happy so far.. I like that it gives a fresh, translucent matt look (if you can imagine that), it just really brightens up my face and makes my skin look "perfect". It lasts pretty good too!! I use beige clair (NC 35) ;)

This foundation is powder foundation but end result is some what feel/look similar to liquid foundation since the powder fitted to skin like a liquid foundation. I really love this powder foundation. It also covers my flaws and it feels light on my skin however color never matched me. It just way too red for my skin. I really wish I can use this foundation though…

This goes on very smoothly when you apply it with a damp sponge. I now prefer using powder foundation then liquid, much easier to use and gives a more even coverage. This doesn't appear cakey at all on your skin and it doesn't accentuate my dry flakes like my liquid foundation did.

I love this foundation, as i am a sleepy sleepy person, i rather sleep 20 more minutes than put makeup on, BUT with this i apply my foundation in less than a minute, top with blush, comb my eyebrows, mascara and lipstick and i am off the door in 5 minutes, it's a real time saver with high performance as it leaves a beautiful beautiful finish, matte but not cakey, velvety, just beautiful, the only downfall is that i HATE the compact it's too big and ugly , if they just made this in a givenchy or stila like case (small and functional) it would be perfect, i am tanned probably MAC NC40 - NC45 and i use beige moyen. Oh i've been using the new MAC pre+prime before this and it looks even better! UPDATE: I bought this 5 times, i can't belive it i never repurchase anything!!! LOVE RAVE

There's not much choice here for us with cool-toned complexions as most of the colors in this range are yellow-toned. There's only Medium Rose for us cool-toned ladies and I think that Light Rose is available only in Asia. So, I bought Medium Rose for summer when I get some tan but the color is quite artificial, somehow weird peachy-rose and it looks almost dirty on my skin. The powder is fine, quite smooth but I think it is still drying if you would use it every day. I don't find this foundation powder very flattering for my skin. Coverage is so-so, it looks medium when you apply it but turns to be quite transparent after a while. I much prefer Guerlain Anti-Age foundation to this one, it is much better for 40+ skin, soothing, moisturizing and not too heavy and Natural Rose color in this range really suits me. Concerning the compact powder foundations that I have tried so far - Kanebo Total Finish is the best.
Guerlain in general tend to make very luxurious packagings and the golden case of this Powder Foundation is by far too big for my liking.

I have it in Beige Naturel (though it is a bit dark for me) and I love it because it doesn't doesn't dry up my skin, nor mark lines, has good coverage, and has a nice rose scent. I use this in autumn & winter, and switch to Issima Perfect White EX powder foundation #3 in spring and summer which is more resistant to sweat and has a glow that is natural on bright sunny day.
I don't like the huge gold case, but the good thing is that you can put a refill instead of the puff so that you can combine two different shades : your regular color and a contour. Smart!

This is the best compact powder foundation I have ever used, and I've used a few! Gives great coverage without looking made up. Your skin just looks flawless, especially topped with Guerlain Meteorites. The colour the SA helped choose for me is perfect for my skintone.I have strawberry blonde hair, and fair skin with slight pink undertones - I don't need anymore in my foundation. Nice pale yellow/ivory colour, no pink in it at all.It held up all day long with no oil breakthrough, no seperation or settling into pores, and very comfortable to wear. Definate HG!

This powder foundation is my HG. It is quite natural looking, mattifying without looking overly cake-y, and extremely comfortable to wear. I would not recommend this product for dry skin types though, as it is matte. All my friends tell me that my skin looks perfect when i wear this. It really is fantastic and has a really lovely subtle scent-also really extremely fine as the name suggests. Packaging is beautiful with a hammered gold lid and a large mirror. Only drawback is that it is extremely expensive. $83 and $55 for refills in Australia. Cheaper to buy off SN if you know your shade. Hope that helped! =) happy HG hunting!

I totally love this compact powder. I usually have a lot of trouble finding the perfect powder that doesn't look to cakey on my face which most powders look like on me. This one is absolutely gorgeous! It is extremely fine so it doesn't look like you have a mask on your face after applying it. It also smells great and stays put for a long time without fading or changing colour. Can be drying at times but i use a gel like moisturizing lotion before applying it. Packaging is beautiful too but i would prefer the compact to be a little smaller. I would definately repurchase!

I bought #513 which is the lightest color I believe. It is a little lighter than my skin color(nc20) but #523 seemed a little dark. Since I can use this product I think even 513 might be too dark for the palest people. However the color itself is simply gorgeous and the smell suits the name divinora. It provides good coverage (in fact the best coverage among all I've tried) and still looks very natural. It does not cake on while providing very smooth surface which looks matte but not dead flat. It lasts all day long except getting a little shiny which is not that bad at all. The color doesn't change throughout the day. It is quite an amazing product. The reason for taking off 1 lipstick is because it is very drying and nothing can help. I've tried richier cream underneath and sometimes worn it on rainy days but it was still drying. And the funny thing is at the end of the day my face gets shiny but feels still dry.

Diorskin Compact has been my HG powder foundation for quite a while. I was sorta stuck with it because I tried so many that didn't work. I got this Guerlain one as a gift for my mom. She totally loves it so I tried some on myself too and I was amazed (got one for myself immediately).

This is as wonderful as Diorskin. The powder is ultra fine, superb light texture, goes on perfectly smooth and even, blends beautifully, provides a natural light to medium coverage, does not change color, long lasting and non-drying, has uv protection SPF 15 (I just can't say enough about this powder as you can already tell).

Also, there's one thing that it actually beats the Diorskin: even though Diorskin Compact gives a lovely glow, it's a bit too luminous, making it not lasting enough for my T-zone (I basically have dry skin but tends to be combination during summer), and what's great about this Guerlain powder is that it gives a matt finish, most importantly, not a dead flat matt face (like Chanel Double Perfection Compact), but a slightly luminous, radiant and soft matt finish. Couldn't be better. This is now my official HG powder foundation. PERFECT!

Edit: Despite its beautiful finish, I'm still taking one lipstick off because it wears off kinda easily on my T-zone (already much better than most non-mattifying ones though) Anyway, on search for the perfect compact powder again.

UPDATE JUN 2007:

Adding the lipstick back on because I can just use a bit of MAC Blot Powder and the problem is solved. Nothing beats the finish of this.

Once again, I have to say this powder foundation is absolutely amazing. After using it up 3 years ago, I switched to different things as I always like to experiment new things. Now in the summer I'm tanned, but the darker shades I have from before for my tan look kinda off, so I was on search for a new one. And finally, I decided to get this powder once more.

Wow! The moment I put it on, I couldn't believe how heavy and powdery my face looked for the past 3 years. This just blends in perfectly, leaves a silky smooth and natural finish that your skin can still shine through. Not too matte, not too dewy that makes you shiny too fast.

The shade I got is #563 Beige Moyen, which matches a true medium (or maybe medium to dark, it's hard to say) tan perfectly. I've tried many darker shades form other brands that made me orange or red or muddy, but Beige Moyen is just the right shade. This is PERFECTION.

For your reference, the compact foundations I've used include: Chanel Double perfection Compact, Chanel Teint Controle Compact, DiorSkin Compact, Shiseido Hydro-Liquid Compact, Shiseido The Makeup Powdery Foundation, Lancome Dual Finish, Clinique Perfectly Real Compact Powder Foundation, MAC Studio Fix, SK-2 Signs Power Treatment Foundation, Kanabo Revue Powder Foundation, Anna Sui Compact Powdery Foundation, Napolean Camera Finish, Giorgio Armani Silk Powder Foundation.

And Guerlain is the best, period.

This is now replaced by the new Parure compact, which isn't nearly as good as Divinora. How sad.

Once again looking for a good powder foundation. Can't bear fluid ones at the moment.Incredibly fine smooth powder.Disappears into skin jsut covering flaws. I use the lightest shade and usually use a medium shade in most lines.Tricky to apply doesn't slide over moisturised face easily. Very matte.Hoping to find better. Couldn't really design a more hideous compact.

I was very unhappy with this product.

I suppose the main problem is that it does not come in a colour pale enough to match my skin.

If you have brown skin I'm sure it would be good for you because it is very non-greasy, lasts all day, provides good coverage and lets your skin breath.

The only other problem is that because it is matte it can look a bit flat but it does seem to keep oil under control.

Also, the packaging is not as beautiful as I know Guerlain are capable of making. It kind of seems a bit strange the way there is a layer of plastic over the gold.
