I'm not sure if this is reformulated. I never tried the original. This mascara didn't do anything for my lashes. I kept brushing it on and ... zippo. Nada. I paid only $1.50 for it at CVS, but it's going back. It didn't irritate my eyes though, that's one good thing.

I ran out of mascara, and was looking for something cheap to fill the emptiness. I saw this at Walgreen on sale for $1.09 and so I got it. I was very impressed with the consistency, and drying time of the product, plus it didn't burn my eyes or wear off after a few hours of wear. I really was very impressed with how it made my lashes look as well. Very full and long, now I have full long lashes to begin with but I could really see a difference after wearing this mascara. It is suppose to help your lashes get fuller over time due to the protein in the mascara, and I can really tell after a month or so of wearing it that my lashes look healthier and fuller on their own. I recommend this product to everyone looking for a good cheap mascara that actually works.

I forgot my mascara at home today, and wanted to get something cheap for work. This was the least expensive mascara I could find at the grocery store next to my job, and honestly I am pleasantly surprised. It doesn't flake, doesn't irritate my sensitive contact-wearing eyes, and was easier to wash off than any other mascara I've ever used. I'm not sure about volume and length, it definitely made my lashes look good though, possibly a bit longer. I'm going to try this out for a few more days.

I bought this for a buck fifty, thinking if I hate it I can just throw it in the trash--which is exactly what I did. It never dried. Actually it didn't do much of anything. Pass on this, even if it is dirt cheap.

I always used Wet n Wild in the 80s - mostly the lipstick because they were $1! Can't beat that right? So I have been sort on cash and my expensive preferred mascara ran out - I love Wet N Wilds Natural Powder so I thought I would try a mascara. I got this one because it said protein on and washable and I hate waterproof mascara as I like to wash it off and it was cheapest of the several selections they have. It doesn't dry!! wah! Doesn't really do much but make my lashes wet. I hate to waste stuff so I will try to use it up and mix it with some other mascaras I am trying to use up but will not buy again.

I actually like this one a lot. Wet n Wild is one of the first make up brands I ever used as a pre-teen and teen, mostly because its price was mom-approved and i could even pay for it on my own with baby-sitting money. I recently re-discovered it recently, and its still very inexpensive (always a plus, since most makeup brands are a rip-off) and it still works nicely for me. I know other people will think because its cheap it won't work, but I don't think you should ever dismiss a product based on price. In fact, sometimes I find that the cheap products work better. I'll buy it again, of course, since I hate paying $$ just for a high-priced name thanks wet n wild :)

Okay I bought this product a couple of months ago, and it just really didnt work for me. TAKES A LONG TIME TO DRY!!! It didn't do much for my lashes... probably because it was dirt cheap at about 1.00. In conclusion... Meh.

I bought this mascara because I figured it would be good for my lashes more than most and it's affordable. The formula is a bit wet, which I normally am wary of. It does give a nice natural look and lengthens + can be built up for thickness. The tube is really bulky and kinda ugly though.

What I like about this product: Doesn't irritate my eyes, goes on easy, doesn't flake.

What I dislike about this product: The main thing I need out of a mascara is a bit of length since I have short black lashes. This mascara doesn't really serve my purposes, BUT if you have long lashes that are just a bit light, this will make an EXCELLENT Mascara.

i love this mascara!!! its amazing!! first of all its superrrr cheap!!! its like $2!! second it comes off really easy! if you dont have makeup remover or you dont have much time for tAking off makeup, get this. it comes off with water! if you go swimming or are in the waTer a lot, and if you dont already have it, you should definitely get some waterproof mascara for those days. one more thing is that it looks great on my eyelashes. i would definitely buy this again

I like this mascara. It doesn't really add much length or volume, but it does separate them nicely and is natural looking. Also, I do see a little difference in my lashes, not a dramatic change but a tiny one. I use this with another mascara, and the finished look is great!

Given that I just added the picture of the new look of the Mega Protein, I dont know why this has such bad reviews I would like to think its because of the old formula. Either way the new Mega Protein is love! I would recommend this to any one that doesn't like that "clumpy" looks on their lashes. It has left my lashes long, not very volumous but some-what and extremely soft and it is easy to take off.

If you want something that is going to give you a difference but not a dramatic look try this. Its great for school makeup or everyday makeup.

The first time i tried this around my friends they noticed my lashes look longer and fuller. Especially that my own lashes are very short and brittle they thought I was using some kind of treatment, but when i told them it was Wet N Wild's Mega Protein they where amazed!!!!!!!! :)

I agree with the others, this is the worst mascara I've ever tried. Its dry and just weird. Has a odd smell too.

Quite possibly the worst mascara I've ever worn. The mascara tube is very small, and the bristle/wand is almost laughably skimpy and short. I purchased this because i wanted to give it a try, it was reasonably priced and i thought the protein in it would be beneficial to my lashes. WRONG.
The formula is extremely wet and soppy, i've gotten plenty on my eyelid by accident. If you happen to rub your eyes, smudge city. It literally wipes off immediately. There's no lash lengthening or thickening that with this mascara. I will never purchase a Wet N Wild mascara again.

I concur with SmolderMeSuburbia's review. Gooey, ooey (sp?) rich and chewy--hey, it contains protein, supposedly! Maybe it contains tofu chunks, for all I can tell.

It's really difficult to apply because it's so clumpy and waxy. But it's even harder to get off. What a mess! Ugh.

The only possibly redeeming feature of this product is the brush. Somehow, I cleaned it off. It's useful for cleaning mildew off my grout. :-(

Sorry to be so negative. Maybe I got a bad tube. But I'm pretty good at makeup application--I think it's just a sub-par product. Wet n Wild makes some decent products, especially for the price, but this isn't one of them. Maybe I'll try one of their other more highly recommended mascaras--at the price, they're worth a gamble.

This mascara is mediocre at best. While it does give some color and lovely length, it gave me ridiculous raccoon eyes. I expect mascara to least from morning to night, and this failed at that miserably. On top of all that, it failed to give my lashes any noticeable growth even though I wore it daily for the duration of the summer.

I don't see what's with all these negative reviews. This mascara works awesome for me! I put it over other mascaras to add length, and it darkens, lengthens, curls, everything!

Like others have said, if you are looking for something to lengthen or volumize your lashes, this is not the mascara for you. It basically just makes your lashes darker.

It will probably be perfect for my daughter who was blessed with unbelievably long and full lashes and doesn't need anything but a lash tint.

This mascara is a bit runny which I don't mind, since you can add several layer on without worrying it would be clumpy. And I can say it doesn't clump my lashes at all. It takes longer time to dry, so I have to put it on even before my foundation since I don't have time to wait for it to dry. I can still see my lashes darkened and fuller, plus a little lengthening too. So for the price it's not bad at all. I would buy again since it's so cheap. However, this does smudge. I apply my make up at 7 in the morning and by noon when I go home, I see some smudging under my eyes (although I only brush my upper lashes). I guess that is because this is not waterproof. With those of you who have watery eyes or are planning to use this on wet, rainy days, just beware of this. But again for the price, I love this for my natural style of lashes.
