I am a big fan of vanilla scent and this vanilla oil smells so good and delicious. I am expecting more staying power from a scented oil thou. And the packaging is kinda annoying to use esp after i broke the wand..sigh.. I am so over the fence whether i will repurchase or not.. It is a really good warm comforting scent and also reasonably priced. I will repurchase if i didnt find a better vanilla scent.

I really like this fragrance. It's light and sweet, and has staying power. My only complaint is the wand used to apply the fragrance with. This makes it kind of annoying to apply. I wish it came in a roll-on.

Pros:
- long lasting (oil)

Cons:
- smells floral and sharp = not vanilla at all
- gives headache
- reformulated, old version is sorely missed by many.

I do so love Body Shop's perfume oils.. the old black-capped ones used to last forever and only required a little smear over the skin for loads of scent - so I was over the moon when I saw Vanilla back on the shelves.

Unfortunately, whilst it smells nice and I wanted this to be my signature scent, it barely lasts for 2 hours. Its a good thing its small enough to carry around for repeated applications or else I'd be completely scentless by the end of the day.

Disappointed by this "watered down" version. If you see a black-cap TBS perfume oil anywhere, I'd snag it immediately. As it is now, I doubt I'd ever buy another white-cap oil from them again.

I like this oil, but it's a bit too sweet for me. I prefer making my own vanilla oil, but I will continue to use this until I'm done with my bottle.

I just love this vanilla oil. I was looking for a sent that was of pure natural vanilla, and everything I was finding hade a spicy note, or amber in it. I asked for this particular vanilla oil for Christmas hoping it would be it. Well it was! I love the smell, and it's staying power. If you are looking for a true vanilla perfume that lasts this is it!

What happened to this oil, I use to be able to put it on and it stayed all day....amd smelled divine.....The one I just purchased from the Body Shop is watered down, doesn't even stay an hour....what a dissapointment.

I thought this product was discontinued, then I went into the Body Shop and there it was! I cannot describe how happy I was. For me, it smells like a spicy, smooth, creamy vanilla. Absolutely beautiful. This may be my absolute favorite smell in the world, along with Dyptique's candle Feu de Bois. And it is the absolute best for xmastime...for me, it smells of christmas, with the fireplace, cookies in the oven and beautiful candles all over. I usually wear Coco Mademoiselle but I really do prefer this perfume. I will be getting Bois Farine for xmas, and I have a feeling that it will layer quite well with this.

I used to love this product. Bought it for ten years and used to have loads of compliments. Loved the new vanilla (and the old vanilla too). My problem is that something in this product does not last like it used to. I put it on and don't smell it anymore an hour later. What did they do to this product? After buying several new bottles to test it - I have to stop. It just does not have staying power anymore.

This oil makes me so sad. I was IN LOVE with the old formula vanilla oil the Body Shop used to sell before they replaced it with this abomination. It smells awful, a sharp, cheap, synthetic vanilla. I could not believe they changed the recipe to *this*.

FYI - the old vanilla oil was pure bliss. Possibly the nicest vanilla perfume I've ever smelt. That's why I'm so gutted!

omg i used to wear fantasy by britney spears which smells so nice and candy like. but since i want to save up on it and searching for cheap alternatives of the fantasy, i stumbled upon this vanilla from TBS. i swiped on my wrists and took a sniff, the smell was strong and unpleasant. after a while, it dries up and the smell is so gorgeous that it is sooo lovely! i love love love it. i buy it straight away. a must buy for every girl who love candy , coconut-y scent!

I love this scent...I have been using this since high school, another girl I knew wore it and it became my new favorite instantly! I own both the oil, body spray and the EDT. Never get sick of it, it is in a class all of its own. It doesn't smell like vanilla out of a bottle at all, and it is soft, unoffending yet subtly sensual as well. It is a incredible blend of vanilla but it has notes of bergamont, jasmine, amber and musk ...perfect for daywear as well as a night out as well. I stick to wearing it in the fall and winter as it is a comfort fragrance, a little to sticky sweet for summer. But beautiful and I always get all kinds of attention from both male and female alike. I will always have this on tap as long as they keep making it, the lasting power I find is actually better an the oil and the body spray, but not so much in the EDT.

PROS: I, personally, love this "type" of vanilla. Not too musky, not too sweet for sure. This is one of the few things my kids' allergies don't get bothered by. Good staying power on skin. Has lasted forever without the smell going "bad."

CONS: Will age and "turn" after about 8 to 10 months.

Bought this vanilla oil about a year ago, and that small bottle sure goes a long way! I havent' even used half of it with my frequent use. A nice vanilla blend, very sweet, and very gourmet-ish. Alone this lasts about 6-9 hours on my skin, but I use it mainly as a layering scent, which it works great for.
Will repurchase because it really brings out the vanilla in most of my fragrances.

Haha. Have worn this scent for the past month, thought it smelt pretty. But just today my mum, whilst hugging me asks if i own any other decent perfumes because she doesn't like the one i'm wearing and hasn't liked it all month. She even gave me her spare Elizabeth Arden Green Tea perfume in exchange for the promise that i would never wear this again. Not sure what this says about this perfume. It doesn't appeal to my mum, and she's normally pretty good with these things. ah well, make your own conclusions. Wouldn't buy it again.

I absolutely love the coconut oil and thought I might give the vanilla one more try. (I can't say for certain that I've smelled the original formulation, though I can see that it has a definite cult status.) I didn't think the newer formulation was particularly great in the past but - have they changed it again? - now I think this vanilla oil is just awful - it quickly becomes the scent of a vanilla candle, a cheap one at that. I definitely don't recall it being quite this bad. No sale, pass it by.

I really like this. In my opinion it's just a simple vanilla scent, no airs or graces about it! It works on all ages (my mum and I both use it) because it is univerally flattering.....Basically it's not to sweet that it is teenage-ish and not cloying that it is old lady-ish. It is not too pungent but it is definately there and for me it lasts a relatively long time. I dab a little on my neck and wrists and then I'm good to go. I find these work great in summer as any heat on the skin intensifies the scent. I take this in my handbag when I'm wearing a higher-end vaniila scented perfume to top up my fragrence throughout the day. I think these oils are my fave Body Shop products as the are cheap but they do what they claim. I also really like Strawberry perfume oil. Will repurchase!

TBS Vanilla was another staple signature scent that signifies my youth and teenage years. I remember the old version reminded me of candy, vanilla extract, and sugar cookies as it was quite sweet and pungent. Smelling this version the other day made me think that vanilla had grown up and evolved into a more floral and fruity depth within the last decade since I purchased it. Still a sweet smell, but more sophisticated, amalgamated, and cultivated. I couldn't resist purchasing this delicious oil for my collection.

I bought this about 15 months ago because I love the smell of vanilla and intended to layer this with other scents. For about a year, I wore this sparingly and never particularly liked the scent on my skin. It smelled too sweet, too gourmand, too . . . something and altered other scents in ways I didn't like. About a month ago, however, I began putting this on my neck and inner elbows and loving the effect. I get frequent compliments and find the smell warm, inviting, perhaps still a little too sweet, but simple and easy and cheap. I'm not positive that I would repurchase but love the little bottle I have now and intend to use it all winter. In all honesty, for a very simple vanilla I prefer Lavanila Pure Vanilla but have no complaints about this one.
