I really like this product. I have bought it several times and have even given it as gifts. My skin is dry and I am addicted to lotions/creams. I keep it in the shower and use it when I am still wet. Takes a minute but it reacts to your warm body temp and goes on easily. Feels like a good mix between a cream and a body oil. Definitely not for oily skin or people who don't like a heavier feel.

I was eyeing on this product for a few months now after hearing many rave reviews on Youtube. Jen from frmheadtotoe was one of them. Thus I was convinced that this was a wonderful product and I took the plunge and purchased it in the end.
Scent:
When I smelt it at the store, I didnt really like it at first. But while using it in the bathroom, the smell was wonderful. It's in fact one of my favourite scents now and I just cant rave enough of this. Lathering this up all over my body in the morning would put me in a very good mood all day :)
It smelt delicious, and to me, balsamic and a little floral. And when I checked the ingredients list from Lush, I found that it contains: Avocado, bananas, lavendar and oat milk. Mmm. However, fortunately or unfortunately, this might just be the only solid "pro" I have about this product.
No of times it can be used:
I tried to prolong the usage of this product by cutting it into about 8 cubes and then storing it in a dry and air tight container. 1 cube would last me about 2-4 uses. So I would expect the whole body butter to last me about 30 times.
How I use it:
After showering, I would rub a cube all over my legs and arms, sometimes buttocks, chest and thighs. I also realized that whenever I took an exceptionally hot shower, the body butter would melt faster on my skin. Thus, I feel it's something to be wary about when it comes to this body butter.
How it feels:
When it comes to my skin (I have normal skin due to the humid country I live in), it feels slightly greasy, and over the course of the day it stays that way. Sometimes I feel it's like a film sitting on my skin that doesnt sink in. I'm about a quarter done now, have yet to see any improvements in my skin. However, it seems to work and feel better when I have epilated and exfoliated my legs.
Overall:
I must say that the scent of this product is probably going to be the driving factor to make me purchase this product again.

I was hoping this would be a lot better than it is.
First of all, the smell is nothing special. I expected it to be warm and inviting, but instead I got a bland mix which doesn't invoke anything special and is generally just blah.
The moisturizing properties are nice and they are the only reason I gave this a 4. My skin feels nice and soft afterwards. However, it doesn't fully absorb and a residue is left so I have to wait a while before I can get dressed. I can imagine someone with very dry skin liking this better than I do.
I apply it in the shower after washing and then rub it in very well. I am careful not to apply too much, but still enough that it coats my body evenly. Then I give myself a final rinse which doesn't remove the butter, but just makes it spread more easily.
Also, a little does NOT go a long way. I used it 3-4 times and already it is obvious it will not last a very long time.
All in all, I expected something a lot more inviting. If moisturizing is the only thing you're interested in, there are a lot of products which offer more and cost less.
Will not be repurchasing.

I keep this by my bed as a massage/body bar, I had forgotten it was supposed to be used in the shower. Either way, it smells soo good and has such a fantastic natural ingredient list - this stuff is really great for your skin! Like similar products though, it doesn't completely sink into the skin but leaves a greasy film, so don't get one if you don't like that ;)

If you exfoliate your body, and keep your skin wet, run the bar under warm water to get more of the oils melting, then glide it over your skin. come out of the bath or shower and pat your skin dry....soft skin.
I love exfoliating my legs, the shaving them, them applying king of skin. soft silky legs

BLEGH!!! First, let me say that I'm jealous of those of you who have dry skin. You'll never understand what a blessing that is! I used this product and felt like I had smeared a stick of real butter all over my body. Ever hold a stick of butter and let it melt in your hand? It doesn't feel very nice. I felt slimy and sweaty and uncomfortable after using this. The Buffy bar is AWESOME though! It isn't nearly as greasy and doesn't give me that gross, buttered turkey feel.

I picked this up on a whim on my first visit to a LUSH store. The saleswoman did a little hand treatment on me (various scrubs and whatnot) and she finished up with having me use this. I use it in the AM and PM, but not in the shower, and it has virtually eliminated a rash that I've been unable to get rid of for months now. I use it all over, but mostly on my arms and legs... it's great after shaving! No more itchy legs! I'll definitely buy this again, I am hooked.
11/2/12 update: Not crazy about the oatmeal bits in this bar... there seems to be more of that near the center. I bought the Mange Too bar and it's great, except I wish it were scented like King of Skin - love that scent!

I have really dry skin on my legs and shaving causes me to get really itchy, I have been using the Prince shaving cream and then following up with a quick rub down with King of Skin. I love this product! It has a lovely creamy cocoa scent and is very moisturising. Go easy though, if you are too heavy handed it will leave you very greasy! I find this product has stopped the after shave itchiness and dryness I dont feel like I need to moisturise after. Definately recommend purchasing with the body butter tin to keep it dry and step out of the shower stream to use otherwise this baby will melt faster than you can get it on you. A great product, a little tricky to master but once you get it right for you its a winner!

Love everything about this. I have been a big fan of Buffy for years and decided I wanted to try one without exfoliation that I can use all over my body. This stuff is amazing! It is extremely moisturizing and my skin feels so soft. It is a little greasy at first but that does not last long and it eventually absorbs into your skin and leaves it smooth and it smells like the beach. I love it.

I have a bunch of these in my fridge as we speak! I hoard these because I love them so much! These along with the massage bars (which I also use in the shower) are the only thing that can truly take care of my wintry crocodile skin! And the smell is subtle but so amazing. Yum!

Got this as part of 2011 Christmas set, 'Seasons Greetings'. The set's a very good deal, especially at a discount, post-Christmas. Therefore, didn't mind trying this, though I would not have got it myself, if not for the Christmas set.
Feels a bit bleh to me, compared to the other massage bars. The smell seems very bland, and almost gone, and when you use it after a shower when you're skin is wet (as in the instructions), it seems to leave your skin a little sticky, rather than moisturised. One thing it has going for it is that it doesn't melt easily, as compared with the other bars, and as I'm in a tropical climate, this is an advantage, as I don't have to keep it in the fridge. Will I repurchase? No. There are other bars that I like better.

At first I used this bar in summer. I have to say I hated it then. It made me feel greasy and it was smelling almost rancid. I did not use it again and the bar got super soft due to weather conditions and being wet once in the shower.
Then I tried it again in winter with a brand new bar. And now I'm addicted to it! The after feeling is amazing in winter. And it actually smells like bananas and a little bit of white chocolate. I think maybe it goes bad during summer since it has all those natural ingredients in it.
I tried Buffy also. But it stings and hurts when i use it after I shave my legs. It really burns! So I stopped using it. I like You Snap the Whip for summer.
My advice is, always cut the bar into pieces. This way you avoid getting the whole thing wet. And the quality of the bar remains. I've been using the same bar for about 2 months, usually once a week. I still have 2-3 uses left.
I will stop using it when the weather gets warmer but I will definetely repurchase. I just love how silky smooth my legs feel after I use it.

AMAZING! I have super dry skin but when I put this on my skin feels sooooo ridiculously soft! I initially wanted to try lush's body butters because I'm super lazy to stand and rub every part of my body with lotion after a shower and I also was intrigued by the fact that you actually use this IN the shower. The first time I tried it my skin felt kind of greasy and I was a bit disappointed but the next time I rinsed it off AND towel dried myself and my skin felt super soft and not greasy at all. I don't really get how people hate the smell to me it smells delicious (like bananas). The only negative about this body butter is that it doesn't really last long (after 2 uses it's down to half) and at $14 a butter it can get pretty pricey which probably means i'm only going to be using it occasionally. All in all it's still amazing.

So far I have bought two of these because this is a really great product! The scent is very natural it kind of smells very faintly like lemons and coco butter; I would compare the scent of KOS to the therapy massage bar. To use KOS I rub it all over my body AFTER I get out of the shower and have dried off a little bit. I actually only put it on the upper half of my body because I use buffy for my legs. I manly concentrate on putting this on my stretch marks even though I have not seen much of an improvemnt. Anyway I am taking a lippy off because it is very expensive for the amount of product you get. The KOS body butter last about 3 weeks if you use it everday, and I paid around 13.95 for mine. I will be buying this product when I have the extra cash.

If you want to smell like the Lush store then this product is for you! I love the smell of Lush shops so I love the scent of this product. Also very moisturising and left my skin nourished in winter. Have to be careful though not to apply too much because you will then feel greasy. I apply this after I take a shower because I've noticed that if kept/applied in the shower the product is used up more quickly. So I apply this in my room where there is no moisture by warming it up in my hands and on my skin (usually on my legs) and once it is warmed up it will apply smoothly to the rest of my body. Best kept in those tins to last longer. Will definitely buy again! Though a bit pricey in Australia about $17 for a bar. My last bar probably lasted me 2 months at the most.

OMG this body butter is awesome. I am on my third bar of King of the skin. I love the texture, the smell is great, it's so easy to apply , either in the shower or right after the shower. Sometimes I don't rinse it off, it's fine on me. I love love this little bar.

I'm surprised that the ratings for this product aren't higher. Usually I try to buy potential products that have an 80% or higher rating on here, and so this is way off. Fortunately, it was an impulse purchase, so I didn't apply my usual rule.
I have VERY dry skin and eczema on my arms and legs. As some readers may know, eczema is a chronic condition that nothing can "cure." Moisturisers do wonders, though, and for a product with scent, I'm happy to say that this didn't irritate my skin and that it softened it well. I cannot understand the complaints about the scent. I think it's beautiful, and so subtle anyway. Maybe in countries other than Australia the scent is different, but I don't know.
I apply this outside of the shower, after it, and try to wear body hugging clothes to seal the moisture in overnight. It works, and yet it isn't heavy and greasy like cream body butters I've used. However, this doesn't last long for me, so I'd say overall it's pretty expensive. Good quality ingredients always make that the case, though. Oh, and buy the tin. I think you'd really regret not doing so, and in warm weather, you'd probably get a big mess.

I purchased this from my local LUSH store about 3 weeks ago. At first I didn't know what to expect because I'd never used a body butter bar before, however, when I got home I found out that you have a shower, get out, apply, then rinse it off & dry. So that's exactly what I did! King of Skin left my skin feeling so smooth and soft, I'm so happy with it! Will definitely repurchase & recommend to all my friends! Only down side is that it runs out pretty quick even though it appears really thick, but otherwise...great!

This is my HG winter body moisturizer. I put it on after a shower while my skin is still damp, don't even rinse it off, and go. It's not a bad scent on me, but if I shower in the evening by morning it's gone anyway, and more importantly my skin doesn't hurt and get cranky.
I do recommend the body butter tin, though - it's just a nice easy way to keep it, particularly if you travel. I leave it sit in the shower with the lid off-center to dry, then close it up and away I go.

Oh gosh, this has the worst smell ever. I swear every time I put it on, I want to puke. It smells horrible, like I have gone swimming with the fish or something like that. No offense it moisturizes my skin wonderfully but I couldn't stand the smell. Luckily this was meant to rinse off so the smell didn't stay for long so I will use it up. Definitely never ever ever gonna buy this or any LUSH product again since I've tried 3 items of them and I don't like the smell of any of them but this one is the worst.
