Wow just when you thought some cosmetic companies didnt test on animals :( so sad, will never buy from L'oreal again. They test all there products on animals.. I wish cosmetic companies were against animal cruelty!!!

I bought this a loooong time ago (I think I bought a couple of backups after my first tube because I liked it so much and am now on my last tube :( Sooo very sad it's d/c because it's my ABSOLUTE hands-down favourite mascara). This lengthened, thickened and held the curl better than any mascara I've ever used (I've used A LOT - diorshow, inimitable, hypnose (my 2nd fave), YSL volume infini curl, estee lauder last xl, magnoscopic and illusionist, loreal lash architect, double extension, panoramic etc, revlon...etc etc you name it, I've used it)
I save this for when I go out as I am petrified of the day that it dies on me. I love how I don't feel the need to buy fake lashes for going out as this gives me the same effect without the hassle. I've always been a 2-mascara girl (1 mascara for lengthening and then put a different one on top for volumising) but with this mascara, I dont feel the need to use another because it does both extrememely well. Have I gone on enough about how much I'm IN LOVE? And heart-broken!!! Thanks a lot loreal.

I originally picked up this mascara after reading a review from Paula Begoun talking about the original version. So I thought...okay I'll try the waterproof. I was finally able to track one down at a local Walgreens. I needed one for my wedding. I knew there would be tons of tears of joy shed..so I had to be safe. I got married in 2004 and I finally threw away my tube of mascara around January of this year. YES I know this is bad...but I loved the mascara! Long beautiful full lashes. No clumping..and no flakes! I held onto it for fear of never getting another! I know about the rules of not keeping mascara forever...but it never dried out..it never smelled, or caked or anything.. But I decided I better be safe than sorry and threw it out. About a week later, my husband and I went into a Big Lots store to look around and OH MY gosh! They had 2 packages of Intensifique Waterproof left on the shelf. They were 2.49 each! So I am happily using my favorite again for another year of 2 ;) and have another one to spare. I've tried others...Lash exact from cover girl after reviews and most recently Max Factor in the Deep Blue ..same style as lash exact. The max factor is beautiful...but I just don't get the beautiful volume and fullness that I get with my beloved Intensifique Waterproof. If I am so lucky to keep finding this cheap at close out places it would be wonderful... but when the time comes... after reading all the reviews here- I believe I will try Voluminous Waterproof. So thanks to Intensifique Waterproof I had a beautiful wedding with lots of tears...but no streaks or flakes!

They have discontinued this, but I was intrigued to try it after reading such favorable reviews of it on this site. I got mine on Ebay. The coverage was good and it separated my lashes beautifully with minimal or no clumping. Adds good volume too. However, now that this is no more, I will stick to my L'Oreal Voluminous and MF 2000 Calorie mascaras.

i use intensifique after revlon lash fantasy primer and it looks great. my short asian lashes become really thick and long. so it's great when paired with a primer but nothing extraordinary on its own. not sure if i'll repurchase.

Mediocre, really. Nice black color, intense, it does a good job with length, even in one coat alone, but no volume, lashes just stick together. The only thing I like about it is the consistency, I've had it for a year and it didn't dry yet. There are so many mascaras to try out there that I am sure I won't buy this again.

Sure it's waterproof and it defines my lashes beautifully, but after a day it flakes and I don't see any real volume happening to my lashes. A mediocre mascara, nothing I'd buy again.

This product is great when applied correctly and is better than the non-waterproof formula! I use this all the time for clients and I find it defines and thickens lashes
just enough, but do not let the mascara dry between applications if you want to build it up. Overall great value for money.

I could not agree with CLisa more (comment below). It is fantastic. The only waterproof mascara I use.(I do not usually wear waterproof).I also wear brown black because I am so fair and black is too overwhelming.Brown black is perfect, more like a soft black than a true brown.
I wore it in the worst circumstances and it was perfect. No clumps, but beautifully defined, thick lashes.Highly recommended.

I really love this stuff. It stays on all day and makes curled lashes look really dramatic. I mean, it holds a curl better than anything I've tried. I have the black brown (or is it brown black?) shade and am scared because I've seen it on clearance at several stores. It's a great color for pale people who think that black is a bit harsh for day. Most WP mascaras are wimpy in the thickening & lengthening departments, but not Intensifique! (There, I practically guaranteed its demise.) EDITED ON 11/11/04: I can no longer rave about this mascara, as I recently learned that L'Oreal products are tested on animals. To paraphrase them, it's just not worth it.

love this mascara. i think its about the same as voluminous. it doesnt clump at all, and u can add up to two coats without it getting spidery looking. after the first coat (patiently put on of course) ur lashes look longer and bigger! after two coats, its really awesome looking b/c its thicker too. i really like it. makes me look like im wearing fake lashes and my eyelashes are naturally short and stubby.
UPDATE- this mascara holds no curl at all. it makes my eyelashes completely straight, even after curling them forever. GRRRR that makes me angry. I guess i'll go back to my voluminous

Awesome prod that beats my other long-time fav L'Oreal Voluminous waterproof. Intensifique offers more separated lashes but still a decent amt of thickness and length considering this is waterproof. Staying power is great, price cheap, accessibility can't be beat. A winner. UPDATE: Does flake some after 8 hours or so on me so have bumped my initial findings to a 4.

I've tried just about all of Loreal's waterproof mascara's! This one is one of my favorites! This one is actually the hardest to find in the stores, Walgreen's was the only place I can find it.
I love it because it goes on cleanly and does not clump. Really gives lashes definition, not all that great at lengthening, but it works for me.

I have gorgeous long, full lashes. I've tried many of the expensive brands of mascara and always come back to L'Oreal. The Intensifique Waterproof is my favorite. I used Voluminous for years and like the texture of Intensifique better. I like to show the lashes I've got!

This is one of the best mascaras I've used...its the only one that will hold the curl of my lashes after I use an eyelash curler. I have poker straight asian lashes that are VERY VERY stubborn. Most other mascaras I tried just undo the curl once I put them on.

This is one of the best waterproof mascara I have tried, and I've tried them all!
I'm very picky about my mascaras, but L'oreal Intensifique does its job. It's completly waterproof, stays on all day long on the beach, and it makes your lashes look both thicker and longer. It does however have the tendancy too make your lashes clump together. But still a good choice!

I love this mascara! I used L'Oreal's Lash Out waterproof for years and switched to this because the Lash Out just didn't seem to do the trick anymore. It made my lashes look longer, more dramatic and I had NO smudging whatsoever, even after I washed my face.

I was psyched when I first tried this since it made my lashes really stand out, especially after using a curler. They looked great and I could not stop staring at them! But a few hours later I was not so psyched anymore because the mascara had worn off my lash tips (I have white-blond lashes, so I could tell -- I had two-toned lashes). It also smudges all day long on my undereye area, which is inexcusable. It's not hard to remove at all; in fact it's halfway off by the time I go to remove it anyway. The search for the perfect w/p mascara goes on.
