I have samples of both Original Blue and the Blue from Rebel Rock. Both are gorgeous BRRRRRIGHT cyan blues, but the original Blue is less frosty, more glowy somehow, and a touch deeper and more royal. The Rebel Rock Blue is much shinier and reflective. I love them both though, and find that their best usage for me is to do a light wash over over colors to give the look more depth and a lovely glow.
Looks amazing as a wash over Smoke & Diamonds or Wolf Pearlglide, Can create the most amazing purples over any pinks or warm browns......
I have yet to use it full on as a lid color, but I ADORE it as a nuancing agent :)
Yummy.

This is an incredibly pigmented, bright, true blue. Unlike some MAC shades there is not a hint of duochrome in the frost, no silver to lighten the colour, no black to dull it, just bright shiny blue! MAC describes this as 'clear cobalt blue'. In my not-so humble opinion this is off, since it's much too bright to be a cobalt and there are zero purple undertones in this blue unlike most of the cobalts I've come across. This makes it a good choice if you struggle to wear blue on your eyes without looking like you've been punched. That said, I wouldn't have said it was a particularly greenish-blue either, it's just not purplish.
Texture-wise, it's very frosty without losing any of the smoothness of texture, unlike some of the high-shine MAC pigments which tend to clump. As a result it's very easy to work with, applies evenly, and doesn't smatter all over your face. The colour stays extremely bright and true regardless of what base you use. It's probably the brightest of the frost pigments I own, in fact.
I've rated it 5 on price because of the huge size of the jar - this is the first pigment I ever bought, back in about 2002. It's still going strong and I can't imagine myself ever needing a top-up. That's fortunate, because it's been discontinued since before 2004's rebelrock re-release. If you ever stumble across a jar or a sample and it's not already in your collection, definitely pick it up - you won't regret it.

Very nice blue shade. The amount of product makes it well worth the money I spent at the Cosmetics Company Store. It also makes a great liner, but I really have to layer it on for it to not crease.

I use this so sparingly because I am afraid I'll use it all. I knew I had to have this the moment I laid eyes on the container at the MAC store. It was one of my first 4 MAC items. Blue pigment is a true cyan blue with no purple or green leanings or undertones. It's just blue, metallic and beautiful. Every fan of blue make up needs this (or a dupe if you're so lucky to find one), in my opinion.

This pigment is from the LE Rebel Rock Collection. It's a beautiful blue with pearl frost. In the jar it looks like an electric blue, but I applied it over TFSI and the blue is more toned down. I didn't have any fallout with this particular pigment. This is a great fun color.

I got this in a sample and i must say, its a pretty decent color. I enjoy SUPER bold neon shades, so i dont actually wear this. but its a pretty frosty blue color thats highly pigmented. The only complaint is in my sample jar the pigment clumps into little balls which is blah.

I actually have a pressed pan of Rebel Rock Blue which I have heard is similar to Blue. This is a metallic royal blue that is pigmented and blends nicely. I love it!

What an amazing color. I have hazel-brown eyes, and get compliments on this Blue and how well it makes my eyes pop. It was my second Mac pigment and I absolutely love it. I purchased it, full sized, off Ebay for $15. Worth every bit.

This is the Mother of all blue e/s! Blue fans have to have it. Its a true, pure blue. The shade is so intense, it would contrast and highlight vitually any eye color. Swipe some over black or brown liner it youre colorshy. It will tone down the blue but you'll still end up with some intense glimmers of blue. Too cool.

I am deeply in love with this pigment. It is a gorgeous classic blue color. Possibly my favorite MAC pigment of all time. It was a limited edition and is only selectively available now, but it is so worth tracking down. I am currently on the hunt for a backup. Get this pigment!!

I can't believe I'm just reviewing this gorgeous shade. I wear it all the time. It is defintely a "Superman" blue. The vibrant shade brings in tons of compliments every time I rock it. I normally 'color' the inner half of my lids with Blue then blend a darker shade such as black or Deep Truth (Frosted Navy Blue) into the crease. Awesome!

After months of trying to track this down I finally got a full size jar from eBay and soooooo glad I got it. This is an amazing blue color LE from the Rebelrock collect. I don't find it to be 80s at all but that's probably because I like bright colored makeup. I mean what's the point of wearing it if it's neutral and no one can see it. Anyway....this is a great shimmery, bright ocean blue. Very pigmented and fine milled...a tiny bit goes a VERY long way. I wish MAC would release some more bright high quality pigments like these instead of the same blah tans & golds oh well...if you like bright colors try to snag a jar or sample of this blue...it's AMAZING!!!! I don't wear foundation but for reference I wear Clinique Stay Spice pressed powder, a medium brown color.

This is definitely BLUE, no doubt about that, but it's a fun blue and and it's very versatile. If I'm feeling a little bit eighties, I'll use it either as an eyeliner, or mix it with clear mascara for shocking blue mascara. Not only does it make a great accent color, but it makes a great eyeliner as well. I also like mixing it with Old Gold for an intense green. Very lovely if you ask me.

I'm truly on the fence with this one: lovely and so unique in the pot and when i swatch it on my hand, too cool for me when i apply it (NC30). It's very pigmented so beware when you dive the brush in! Unlike a few MAC pigments, i like the texture of Blue, really easy to blend.
I may try this with another e/s than the one i did, or use it as liner only.
It was sent to me as an extra, but i wouldn't repurchase. Even though, i see this working wonderfully on another kind of skin coloring !

This is one of those pigments that I dont use very much, but I am proud to have it in my collection. I only have a sample of it, which is enough because i am not mi-mi, but if you like to do fun, crazy makeup often, i would say it's worth it to invest in a full sized jar if you can get your hands on one. It is a very clean, true blue, with a beautiful metalic sheen to it. I only ever dare to use it as a liner, but you only need to use a very small amount to get a BOLD beautiful effect out of it. The texture is nice too, smooth and not chunky, which to me is the deciding factor in purchasing a pigment; it could be the most amazing colour, but if its chunky or flakey, i will NOT buy it!

I got this in a swap, and I'm assuming it's just the plain MAC Blue (it only said blue on the sample jar). It's a very bold shimmery blue, like the poster below said, supermans tights lol. I don't really wear blue e/s much though because I'm too afraid I'll end up looking garishly 80's. Other than that I'm impressed with the product.

A straightforward, medium, bright, Superman's-leotard-blue. I got a sample as an extra in a swap and have zero use for it as I don't wear blue eyeshadow and this can't really be used elsewhere. This is not quite as intensely pigmented as other *ahem* pigments I've tried, but it is a bit easier to blend and work with. I think this is a must only for blue eyeshadow fans and pigment collectors.
