Spray, Spray, Spray. This Demeter PMU is so pleasant but I have to spray 10 times to get it to last even 45 minutes.

Alcoholic at first, but then gives into fruity flirty fun! Only reason I gave it a 3 was it's weak silage and longevity.

Yes, I agree with the other reviewers, this is super-sweet and super-fruity…and I like it! I associate this with summer. I have a little .5 oz bottle I got many years ago from Sephora, and I’m finally nearing the end of it, and I am going to repurchase. It is not complex (though I don’t think Demeter fragrances are intended to be). To me I smell peaches and berries, with just a bit of ‘crispness’ (the ‘vodka’ note, maybe?) For the record, I don’t drink the ‘Sex on the Beach’ drink (I’m a beer-drinker, go figure!) so I don’t really have expectations of what this ‘should’ smell like. It’s just sweet and light and smells so delicious on sun-warmed skin. The lasting power is only a few hours, so a mid-day touch up is necessary. I have other fragrance choices for other seasons and special occasions, but I like this for what it is- a youthful, sweet, casual scent.

I think I literally feel pain when I smell this. It's so cloying! Reminds me of cheap candy and fruity candles. I might have liked this when I was 12, but for an adult?! I have about 10 Demeters, and this is my least favorite.

I bought this from Victoria's Secret for $5.99 and it came with a 1 oz. pick me up and a calming lotion. I've smelled this from a sample a long time ago and liked it. I love Demeter, so I bought it. It's a nice cranberry fruity scent.

I bought a bottle of this scent several years ago after smelling it in a Sephora catalog. It has a sharply sweet, fruity and candy heart kind of smell that is simple and girly. A good fragrance for teens, if you can get past the name. But it was a little overly sweet for my taste. I've never had a Sex on the Beach cocktail but this didn't have any alcohol scent at all. Unfortunately the cap falls off the bottle easily and the perfume drained out of the bottle and dried up before it was even half empty. I hope Demeter has improved their packaging since then.

I got this in lotion form with a gift certificate to a store where there weren't many options. There are so many negatives! The smell disappears almost immediately after it's dispensed. The smell that does linger isn't anywhere close to the original scent. The lotion isn't moisturizing. Blech. Total fail.

This is a very typical beach/summertime/tropical scent that is a great 'splash' but doesn't last at all. The bottles in the Demeter line are so unimaginative, boring and do nothing to pretty up my scent display. I think if you want a summertime beach scent, there are alot out there that are better. If this fragrance didn't have it's name to market it, you would find it on the shelves of your local drugstore.

Tested this at the store today. Very nice, happy scent! Makes you want to have Sex On The Beach! It was quite sweet, whilst I considered buying it, I knew it would be something I would get sick of before the bottle ran out.

I really like this! I keep it in my purse so that I can spritz myself with it when I go out at night. Its not overpowering, but still adds a subtle sexiness. Its fruity with a slight hint of vodka. I suppose the bad reviews just go to prove that you just have to try fragrances out for yourself. They work different on everyone because no one has the same body chemistry. Overall a nice product, especially since its only $20.00 (at least, it is at Ulta, which is where I purchased it).

I received a free bottle of Sex on the Beach with an order from demeter.com awhile ago, and while it's a nice enough scent I doubt I'll purchase when I run out. It's a pretty close adaptation of the scent--fruity, light and sweet with a hint of alcohol. I prefer scents with more depth, but this is nice for a casual summer day.

I like the idea of it, but the sweetness just ruins the whole thing. It has the fruity concotion of the drink- but again, this fragrance is so sweet that it made me want to puke. Thank goodness I was only trying it in the store!

i love this stuff! i'm on my third bottle. i spray this on when a regular perfume is too heavy to wear. to me, the scent does, indeed, smell like the drink. if only they'd make a midori sour.

This didn't smell like a mixed drink at all, more like just the alcohol scent only. Thank goodness it only last 5 minutes, because this just stinks horribly. I will not buy this again!

i love sex on the beach... it smells great! and for the record: demeter scents arent supposed to last a long time or have a lot of staying power. they are meant as a "pick me up." that way you can wear other scents as well during the day. i think they are just fun.

mmm...I love this scent. It screams "summer!!" to me. I would like to add more demeters to my collection. I love the gin and tonic version.
This scent reminds me of Escada's Rockin Rio from 2005.
