This is the first time I have found a product that is so bad I felt compelled to write a review. The brush is small and fiddly to use due to the shape of the lid and it lasted less than 24 hours before the polish was so badly chipped I had to remove it. I notice that other reviewers have said to use a good base and topcoat - I used OPI base coat and Seche Vite topcoat and still it was useless. A terrible waste of money.

I have poker face, bad influence and orgasm. All these colors are beautiful and they really are long lasting. I would say this is the best nail polish I have tried in regards to chipping. It's the only polish that lasts me almost till the end of the week. I always use a bonder and top coat, but I do that whenever I put on nail polish. I love the colors... the main problem is the price tag, hence the 4 stars!

For reference I have chanel, dior, essie, and opi polishes and I think this polish is best in terms of resisting chipping.

I started with Orgasm and now I have 9 of these! I love the uniqueness of the colors like the bright red Dovima and frosted gold Versailles - I got used to people asking me what polish I'm wearing. I usually don't use a top coat and they hold up well for about a week without it. I love the formula and the smoothness of these polishes - I prefer these over the OPI ones.

Awful! Generic quality! Bought this in orgasm with 20%. such a waste of money. Over priced. I had to reapply this 6 times and keep removing and reapplying this to get it right. The formula was goopy and messy. Hard to get it right. And it kept chipping off. Just redid this morning. I love the color but the formula is awful. Chipped again just now. Clear top coat seamed to make it worse! Such an overpriced item. OPI is the best. Dont waste $ on this.

*edit: i realized that my topcoat was garbage and that's why it wasn't drying right. (i have had problems with every revlon nail polish, including the top coat!). I am starting to love this nail polish by NARS. i apply one coat when i want a naturally looking nail. it gives a pretty light pink color with irresdescent shimmer. my only gripe is the price.

I don't know where all the Nars hate is coming from. I have used Nars polishes for 11 years, and I have never had a problem with thickening over time, bad application, or chipping. I just removed a Nars color from my nails, and it stayed put with no chipping, peeling or tip wear for 5 days. I did use a topcoat called liquid glass, though, which I think makes all the difference for me, since otherwise, my manicures only last a couple of days.

I was dispointed with is nail polish, yes, the color is longwearing, flexible and does not cheap. But, the color did not come out the same, I have this in purple rain, and Arabesque, both of these is suppose to have lost of glitters/ shimmer, howevver, it just look dark purple and light baby pink on my actual nails, there was not a lot of shimmer, i just don't know what happened?

I have this polish in Orgasm. I love it. Great color and does not chip even after 1 week. It is not cheap but, sometimes it is hard to find these high end colors in cheap polishes.

I don't know why it got such bad reviews. I have one bottle of NARS nail polish in Orgasm. I get compliments everytime I wear it. I wear it with a base and top coat and it goes on evenly and stays on pretty well. If you wear it alone, it won't last as long. It will start to chip or scrape off, but just take the extra time to put the base and top coat on.

I used OPI Chip Skip, Creative Sticky base coat, NARS Orgasm, any top coat -

My manicure has lasted from Friday - Wednesday, which is unbelievable considering I wash my hands after every patient and use my hands!

Poor reviews - I think they need better base / top coats.

The only thing I have to say is horrible qualitity. It's messy and hard to use and it chips off too easily. I have a big probelm with little brushes because I don't have all the time in the world to slowly paint it over all my nails and have it look like a streaky mess! It also doesn't come in a wide variety of colours. I know I'm totally a brand whore, but I bought it because it was NARS. :P Now I know better to stick with my OPI or Chanel.

I've tried a few Nars polishes (Chinatown, Jungle Red, etc), and was disappointed every time. I'm a big fan of the several Nars lipsticks I have, but they really have to work on their polishes, especially since they cost 3-4 times what I normally pay for polish. They are streaky and chip easily, do not have a wide brush, and also the selection sucks. Keep your receipt if you decide to try it, because you will probably want to return them.

I bought this nail polish because I really really liked the color (luminous bronze--named Bohemia). For $15, I'd expect better quality. I can't even put this on my fingernails, as it doesn't dry correctly and I end up screwing it up somehow. I've tried several times. I know it's humid these days and I tried putting it in the fridge, which helped with the consistency, but it still did the same thing. Too much money, not enough quality. It even chips on my toenails. Usually (since my toenails are not washing dishes and stuff) my pedicure lasts ages (i.e. at least one month or two) but this stuff is chipping already after only a week. I don't like it, no sir, I don't.

I got one of these as a GWP in the shade Bus Stop, which is a clear orange....And suddenly the reason they gave it away with a minimum purchase of $50 becomes pretty clear ;-). Anyway, the shade I have makes me look like I have some weird nail fungus or something, but I'll definitely purchase some of their other colors as they have some beautiful and unique shades, and are all formaldehyde-free.

Terrible quality nail polish. Never again will I substitute a Chanel nail polish. Usually I can apply Chanel nail polish in the car when I am a passenger and we're in a rush to get somewhere - it dries fast if I apply 2 thin coats. Nars was another matter, not only did it not fill in any ridges, even worse, it wouldn't dry and as soon as I stepped out of the car and looked down, it had all smudged.
AARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH.

Mr Francoise what were you thinking? Please improve the quality as there are better drugstore polishes out there.

The shade I used was Saratoga, a russet shade with metalic undertones that looks best on tanned or black skins.

I received 3 polishes in a small black box as a gift w/ purchase. I wouldn't have purchased them otherwise even though I love NARS (I just can't justify paying such an expensive price tag to put a colour on my solar nails). The colours are nice, but nothing spectacular. I love red as a colour on my nails, and since two of the colours are red, that's great. One red is a true red and one is a deeper burgundy red. The third is a fucsia colour (can't remember their names, except that one of them is a Jungle red, which is the one I like). The quality is OK, but then on my solar nails every nail polish lasts a long time. Again, nice, but nothing spectacular.

I received this as part of a free gift w/makeover promotion. The color I received is King Kong, and it looks beautiful both in the bottle and on my nails. The only problem is that this polish chips less than 24 hours after I've applied it. So far, I've only done a manicure with this polish. I'm wondering if the lasting power might be better if I used this for a pedicure....

A couple birthdays ago, I got a NARS makeover and a bottle of "Hot Voodoo" polish (warm copper-orange frost) was included. A year later I received a sampler pack of NARS polishes as a gift: Jungle Red (deep cool red), Gimme Shelter (deep violet frost) and Edelweiss (sheer ivory). My verdict on all? Ehhh. I've used better polishes from the dollar store. The colors are cool, but the formula and lasting power are average or worse. Edelweiss goes on so streaky it's redunkulous. I just don't believe in spending $13 for a bottle of nail polish unless it is extremely high-performance, and this stuff just isn't. The colors are easily replicated at your local drugstore.
