Love this drugstore eyeliner! I have about 5 of these around my makeup drawers, my makeup bag, and some random purses just in case! Best bang for your buck - people get so surprised when cheap products "don't work" for them but what do people really expect from $2 eyeliner? This is my favorite drugstore eyeliner - I haven't tried anything else for a long time. I'm not saying it's long wearing, I definitely notice smudging/wearoff within a few hours but I really don't mind because it's so smooth and perfect for the waterline.

The packaging on this item is average, but everything else about it is amazing. I have espresso(dark brown) and black. This is a very soft, very pigmented eyeliner so it's very easy to use. I recommend putting it in the fridge for a bit before it needs to be sharpened. I sharpen at night so the next morning when I need to use it it isn't still cold. It goes on my waterline easily. without any base or powder it does tend to smudge but I don't think any soft kajal won't. I would compare the quality of this to high end eyeliners I've used that cost $21 etc.

after scouring over the 'best value' board looking for cheap makeup, i had to buy this eyeliner due to the reviews. and the price. i must say i am sad i never paid attention to these before at walgreens! it's a very plain display and mine only sells eye/lip liners and gloss, which is really dissapointing because the whole line is supposed to be pretty good. this eyeliner is no different.
it goes on so smoothly. no tugging or pulling on lid. the color is the blackest of black and stays on waterline so well. i'm so excited about it that i may go buy every color they have.
don't be a snob- try it.

If I added up the total cost of all the Smashbox/Bobbi Brown/UD/MUFE pencil liners I own, I'd have a tidy sum. And I could have spent just a few bucks for these excellent pencils.

The recession has shown so many of us what silly snobs we've been in avoiding DS brands.

My favorite eyeliner! Very black, very smudgy, stays on forever and its perfect for just about any look you want. And it's so cheap (.99 to 1.99 depending on the store/state you get it in)

For $2, this is a STEAL!!! If you like a smudgy, creamy eyeliner that's great for a smoky eye and lasts, this is for you! Gentle and soft enough to line the upper lash line. Definatly enough to give MAC Smolder a run for it's money at a fraction of the price!!!

This eyeliner is only $0.99 at Walgreens and I think it works fairly well. It's creamy, glides on smoothly, and you get a lot of product (7" I think)!
It's not the most pigmented eyeliner ever, but for 99 cents, it's worth it. This smudges a little bit, I haven't tried it on the waterline yet (I only put eyeliner on my lash line), so I don't know how well it stays on there. I use this as my back-up eyeliner since it's so cheap... I'm definetly getting more of these!:)

This was my favorite eyeliner when I first started to use make up. This has an amazing staying power and doesn't smudge. It has a very rich pigmentation (specially the black one) and to make it last all day/night long is to heat the tip a little with a lighter (but like, less than a second, otherwise you'll burn yourself or make a mess of your make up). and then apply it to your waterline. Amazing product! I would but it again but I'd like to test some other products as well.

I can never find that smoky finish that some girls I know can get with a pencil. It is a nice black if you use it on skin, but to line the inner rims its a grey, of course, nothing I've used has gotten it black. Love love love the price :)

This is a great product, *IF* you set it with powder shadow and be sure to use a prmier under it. Then, it won't budge. If you don't, it's down your face like the horses from the Derby. Especially in summer. It does go on smooth and creamy, which means it contains wax and when warm, wax melts. So go over with a powder shadow and use a primer and it's all good.

I usually can find some use for any pencil I have but not this one. I was really let down on this since so many people I know love it. Smudging isn't a total issue for me but this was instant panda eyes. The pencil was rough and hard no matter what I did. I hoped to love it as much as many do but was let down. At least it was only 99 cents! Buyers beware!

I think another reviewer said it best when she described this pencil as creamy. This eyeliner is very soft, doesn't tug the skin or skip and is a rich black color. You can create the coveted smokey eye look quite easily with this pencil, as it blends nicely. I haven't experienced any smudging because I use Urban Decay's Primer Potion before applying any eyemakeup. The cost cannot be beat. I buy these at Walgreens in bulk.

I think when purchasing pencil eyeliners it's important to realize the way your skin reacts with pencil makeup. I'm convinced having tried very expensive and very cheap pencil eyeliners, my eye area tends to eat up makeup. So, if your skin around the eyes are anything like mine, this is an average pencil eyeliner. It will smudge slightly, but not horribly. You can't really go wrong to at least try this since it's a buck or less at your local walgreens. I will say that I have noticed their more expensive automatic pencil liners and premium pencil eyeliners do glide on feel superior to this standard liner. Go for those if you smudge often. But when looking at cost benefit you should at least try this one first.

I used this eyeliner and it disappeared completely! It ran away and left terrible racoon eyes behind, i looked really tired and sleep. What a terrible pencil, with this, you get what you pay for!

It cracks me up when I see my friends pay $18 or $24 for an eyeliner at the department store, when you can go to Walgreens and pick this up for 99 cents. This goes on smoothly, blends easily, lasts all day and is a rich, inky black. Yeah, my Revlon Colorstay lasts even longer, but this works almost as well and costs much much less. I just wish they came out with more colors.

I have this in Blackest Black and it goes on smooth and very pigmented and lasts all day, all for less than $1. Pencil is really long and sharpens well to a fine point. Great product, what more is there to say?

This is literally a buck and yet goes on like a quality eyeliner. I don't have to worry about it pulling on the sensitive skin around my eyes or any pigment rolling off. It truly glides on very smoothly, making it perfect to get a smokey eye.

This pencil is creamy and very pigmented. It's so easy to use. No tugging or skipping. You can also smudge it easily. It doesn't have the best staying power, I notice it smudges on it's own after some hours, but for the price, I think it's great!

This is the best black eyeliner I have ever used. And it was only $1! It stays on all day, and it is really smooth and easy to apply. I have repurchased this many times, and I'm always telling my friends about it. You have GOT to try it.
