I prefer cleansing products with a foam base. Since for some reason I feel it cleanses better. However at Saks the SA gave me a try of the milk cleanser. I am hooked I find it really doesn't take my makeup off but it totally cleanses my skin which is sensitive and dry. Pricey no doubt but you only need a little and I too have tried all cleansing products from chanel to olay to cetaphil the one that comes close is cetaphil..

i used this for a while worked fine but for the price i think there are many other cleansing milk that work just as well and cost less. it does feel nice, doesn't dry out the skin after washing, but I'm on Ling now and seems to suit my skin better.

As I often say, Sisley is overpriced, overrated and over estimated!

I have tried almost the entire line - as I have an overly kind friend who is a BA in a very posh perfumery, and refills me with loads of high end products (I know ...lucky me!) so that's the way I know thoroughly the entire Sisley line!
I happen to have used many GWP of this cleanser through the years...and most of them went directly to my mother's bathroom (she has dry skin while I don't).
I have combo skin and I love to wash my face with water in order to eliminate completely makeup and dirt.
So milky cleasners are not for me. However, as I like to use/try all kind of products and I must say this very thick milk is good for removing eye makeup with a cotton ball. That's what I did... I used it as a pre-cleanser.
Afterwards I needed to wash my face several times with another soap or gel clanser, because skin is definitely left way too greasy with this milk!
It is suppposedly good for DRY skins. It has this lovely natural scent, like all Sisley products have. Period. I cannot find any more features to really recommend it; in fact how could you, with such an outrageous price... ?

wonderful stuff! Gentle smell, gentle but thorough cleaning, spreads like a veil. The bottle is perfect and I need one push only, so I hope it will last some time!

If you have the desire and the ability to spend $75 on a cleanser, then this is probably the best cleanser I have ever used. I use the Lyslait cleaser for Dry skin (not the hawthorn one, the new one). It is a thin, beautiful consistency, spreads easily - and quickly removes my sunscreen, etc. It leaves my skin super hydrated, but squeaky clean. I can't rave enough about this product. It is not irritating, and feels like my skin drinks it in.

I'm hoping to find a similar product, slightly cheaper - but so far, I'm unsuccessful. You can get it for 18% off at strawberrynet.com.

I purchased the one for dry and sensitive skin and my skin got irritated badly. Then I tried to bring it back to SAKS and return it. Then the SA recommanded the same cleansing milk but for normal to oily skin (sage?).. okay, I made an exchange instead of refund. The next day I tried this new cleansing milk first thing in the morning, it burnt my face badly!! I couldn't believe what a huge mistake I did to my lovely face... I got red little bumps all over and it took 2-3 weeks to go back to normal. I hate hate hate both of Sisley's cleansing milks.

Botanical Cleansing Milk with Hawthorn is a very rich, creamy milk, most suitable for very dry and sensitive, fragile skins. It is very gentle and soothing to the skin, but if your skin is not really very dry it could be kind of heavy. Although my skin is normal to dry, dry in winter, and sometimes sensitive, this is sometimes too heavy for me in spring or summer.

This is a good cleanser - I am trying to finish off my huge bottle - I think it is great but I prefer foaming cleansers more!

This is my second review for the Cleansing Milk with Harthow for dry/sensitive skin.
Last week, my friend asked me if I am a VIP of Sisley so I could hvae 10% off discount as she wants to purchase this. I wondered why she suddenly wants this. She told me last time when she went shopping with me, the SA gave this for her and she tried it and totally in love with this! I could notice her pores are a lot smaller and her face does not shine at all. Hence, I went home and take out my pocket of samples and tried this once again (This is fall now) and man! It works soo well. My face is extremely smooth and very clean. I love this again!! Maybe I can only use this in fall / winter (drier seasons) but not in summer (too hot and too humid). I cannot make up my mind to purchase the Cleansing Mousse or the Cleansing Milk in the future. Both are very god cleansing product. Well, I know I know, you may think I am crazy that I spend tons on cleansing products which never stay long on my face, but my skin is super sensitive. I once tried Shiseido UV White Cleanser and NARS Cleanser, Clarins Cleanser and they stinged me, brunt me badly. My face turned reddish and extremely dry IMMEDIATELY. So if you are like me, have sensitive skin. Sisley Cleansing Milk and Mousse are worth to buy. It does not work like miracle like refining pores or reduce lines, but at least, it cleans well make you feel comfortable, keep your skin healthy and keep allergy away from you!

I definitely hate this thing! It made my skin red and itchy! It supposed to be suitable for dry and sensitive skin! What a big lie! What a disappointment from such an expensive product!

I have dry and sensitive skin, too, like another lady. I like it, too! It's rich, clean well, with nice smell. Only complain is the price - well, but I'd still repurchase becuase simply of its good!
Update: I've got allergy from the Cleansing Milk with Harthow. But the Cleansing Milk with Sage works great on me.
