I bought this foundation stick with the intention to use it as a concealer on spots and discolorations. It is supposed be very heavy in terms of coverage and be available also in light enough shades.
I bough it in the shade 121 Nude Ivory which was a pretty good match for my Mac NW15-NW20 skin.
It did cover things up, but the problem was that it did not look very skinline and also even set with powder it would crease and become super oily (I dont have many wrinkels and my skin is actually more normal to combination to oily).

I love stick foundation, and in the last few years it has been nearly impossible to find it in any brand. I came across this product on drugstore.com and gave it a shot. They only carry True Beige (125), and I'd worried it would be too dark for me (I'm NW20). But it turned out to be a perfect match! I wear it only in areas that need a bit more coverage, like around my nose and under the eyes. I follow up with Clinique Almost Powder makeup and my complexion looks completely even. LOVE this stuff.

I really wanted to love this as I usually love Maxfactor products and think they're great value for money but this is not good! I bought it just to use as cover stick (didn't realise it was supposed to be an all over foundation at the time) but have used it as both a cover stick and all over the problem is the same. It looks fine when first applied but within half an hour this sinks into every line in my face, emphasising wrinkles I didn't know I had! I used it particularly around my eyes and it was horrendous - I'm only 23 I don't think I've got a large amount of wrinkles and lines but this just seems to emphasise every flaw!! It's so cakey and thick too. Really not good. On the bright side though, the packaging is okay and I quite like the smell.

I've tried many expensive foundations in my time but this one is the one I return to and is a low price.

I get it in the lightest shade and pay about £4 for it and it lasts a long time. It has a twist up dial and is a solid stick so easy and quick to apply. It has full coverage which is excellent for covering my spider veins and redness on cheeks/nose. It can be 'diluted' when you don't need so much coverage by using face cream first.

It does not have an SPF which is its only negative but my face moisturiser contains one anyway.

Would totally recommend this to people who need a full coverage foundation.

I have loved this! I still can find it. When I first saw it it was 7 pounds, but I bought it for 4 pounds on a Max Factor sale at a drug store. I thought it was really cheap! I was looking for a sand shade to wear as concealer, but I accidentally bought a darker shade and now I wear it as a bronzer and I have absolutely loved it! It is really long lasting, and even though I think it makes the skin look kind of cakey I just think it is wonderful!

Max factor pan-stik in 12(true beige) that is still available in europe.
It is a stick formulated for normal to dry skin.
It is a good much for me perfect but even though it matches perfectly on me it makes skin look tired.
It doesn“t have that dewy finish that modern foundations do.
I think that this is because of the undertone that is neutral and I am more of a cool toned person.
Anyway the problem with this foundation is that is a little bit cakey after a few hours.
However I will put it a 3 lip because is a decent foundation for a makeup job no spf so photoperfect and costs 14 euros here.
If you want a foundation for a travel that will do as a consealer and foundation pocket friendly then this is it. I will keep using it for touch ups and express makeovers but for an everyday foundation there are better that combine and beneficial ingredients and spf in them.
it comes out in 6 shades limited variety but they chose them wisely believe me. It is one of the oldest formulas of the brand!

I discovered the Max Factor Pan-stik a few months ago and I absolutely love it! I believe it's being discontinued but you can still buy them online. They always seem to discontinue great products! I'm not sure if I will find anything else as good because my skin can get quite stubborn. However, I think there will be a continuous supply at common online sites if anyone is thinking about trying it. The size is fairly big - not a small lipstick size portion so it will last a very long time. The texture is light/medium but the coverage is full. It glides on easily and blends in really well. I love how it covers all kinds of imperfections like blemishes, pigmentation, redness and uneven skin tones. It's almost like a concealer/foundation in one, because I don't need concealer when I use this even on really bad skin days. I have light to medium skin tone and I use the shade True Beige which seems like the perfect color for me. Before that, I used Natural 101 and it's very pinky (so only those who have pink undertones would suit that shade). I've also tried the Nude Ivory and it matched my skin tone wonderfully too but the price is insane because there is only a limited supply left of that color. Another thing I love is that it doesn't cause breakouts and I'm very very prone to acne when using makeup - I've even slept in it several times! There are mixed reviews on Mineral Oil and I used to think it was bad for skin, but it clearly doesn't hurt mine because this stick has that ingredient. With a little setting powder over top, it stays in place and doesn't cake up. Gotta love it!!

I got this foundation stick because I needed something for the days when my skin was misbehaving. Up until now I have had problems with my skin simply rejecting foundations and powders alike. I have tried a range of different products, Body Shop, liquid Max Factor, Yves Rocher, mineral foundations and probably others who've skipped my mind, but so far this is the only one who makes my skin look flawless and lasts.

The others would either break me out, crack and peel off (yes, it sounds nasty, and it looked really bad) or change colour after a while, or all of the above. But this small stick is just amazing. I apply it with a moist sponge or cotton pad, and if I need a bit of extra coverage I dab it on using a finger. If I just want to conceal a spot or red area I'll dab it on with a finger. It's amazing. And a little goes a long way. It seems to have lots of pigments too, and it covers really well when used undiluted.

The price is also very good, actually when I discovered this little gem I stocked up. I got 2 extra, and so far I can hardly tell I've used the first one, which I got some 6 months ago. I only use it perhaps 4 times a month, so I suppose it would last long, but still, you get a lot for the money with this buy.

I bought this to use as a thick concealer under foundation. It works a treat. The lighter shades hide my deep pores and because to thick it covers my uneven skin tone. I use the lighter shades for under eyes and the crease of m nose for contouring.

A fantastic product that seems to last forever. A must have!

I sometimes have breakouts and wanted a thick foundation to cover up my flare ups and freckles. I bought this in Fair and unfortunately the colour is way to peachy for my skin. I now use this as a concealer for my freckles, dark circles and spots as when I use this as a normal foundation it makes my skin look very pinky/peachy. I definitely would buy this again as it is quite cheap and does a good job of hiding imperfections.

For my collection I was looking for a good covering foundation. As soon as I saw there was a sale on Max Factor makeup I went to take a look because I usually really like their foundations.
I chose the pan stick foundation and looked for one of the lightest colors I could find. The light in the makeup store was really yellowish and it made it hard to look for the right color, so eventually I just chose by name!

Bisque Ivory. I'm really dissapointed it's too dark for my skin, and it's a pity there aren't a lot of colors to chose from but that's the only negative part. I love using this foundation on models because it covers great and it leaves a very nice creamy finish.
The best part about it is that it's also great for dry skin (which is the most difficult skin to find a good foundation for).

I really recommend this one!

I have used maxfactor panstick in nude ivory for the last 20 years and it is the only color that has ever matched my skintone and the only make-up that works for me.I have tried other make-ups and nothing works but maxfactor panstick!Every other brand of make-up is either too dark or too light or doesn't work for my skin or coverage! When they started to go out of business I stocked up about 8 tubes a couple years ago from drugstore.com and now I am down to my last tube so I tried to go back on their website a couple of months ago to stock up some more to discover that they no longer have my color and aren't going to have it any longer!I have been on website after website for 2 months now trying to find out where I could get some more make-up in my color but all I found was that ebay has some and the prices for just one tube are nearly 35.00 plus another 5.95 or more for shipping.I am on Dissability and with my small monthly income I cannot afford a price like that for just 1 tube of make-up and besides that price is ridiculous anyway if I could afford it!.I have just had to cut down to wearing make-up to maybe one day every week or 2 and I hate the way I look without make-up so I don't want to really go out much!UGH!Today I discovered that I can still buy maxfactor in the uk/europe but the color list has changed.I don't know what color to get.The new colors that look closest to my old shade of nude ivory 121 are :nouvea beige 13, and fair 25.I think I would be the fair but not for sure.I was wondering if anyone else is the same color nude ivory,as me and has tried the new shades from the uk/europe or if someone would know the equivalent shade to my old shade nude ivory in these new colors. Please if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.Here is the full list of maxfactor new colors from the uk/europe:13- Nouvea Beige, 14- Cool Copper, 25- Fair, 30- Olive, 56- Medium, and 60- Deep Olive and as I said before I'm color 121- Nude Ivory in the old USA clors!Than you in advance for any help in this matter!Sincerely,MJsMoonGoddess

Love this, my first HG! I don't have that many blemishes, just the occasional little breakouts arround my chin, but I am a bit conscious about the uneveness of my skin, and my pores. I use this all the time with setting powder (Max Factor Cream Puff) as well as liquid foundation if I'm going out but the texture of it is flawless, porcelain and still apparent even under the rest of my makeup. I bought it as I was searching for something I thought would be pretty hard to find, especially for my combo skin - something full coverage and lasting that would still leave a dewy, non-cakey finish. When I was looking at it in Boots i thought it would be a bit difficult to apply and blend, especially since I usually go for the most liquidy, blendable foundations I can find, but I use it over good moisturiser and primer (17's Photo Flawless primer). It blends beautifully and the finish is way better than I even hoped for ~ dewy, flawless, covers everything I need covering easily but blended properly it's undetectable; it just makes it look like i've got really soft, creamy clear skin. What more could I ask for! I can see it being not as good if you haven't prepped your skin properly, but I think even if you have dry patches as long as you moisturise well (i use Neutrogena's really thick balm moisturiser) and prime beforehand you should be fine. I swipe this on and blend it with my fingers as for me it's a bit thick to use a brush and i don't like using sponges because I feel like the absorb all my lovely makeup! Also I reckon the heat from your fingers helps blend it better anyway. I'm really really glad I decided to buy this, I get tons of compliments now on my skin, not my makeup : ) It really does give you that beautiful flawless dolly skin, definitely recommended!

Me: Acne prone, some scarring but otherwise happy skin.

Having used the No7 Stay perfect compact and liking the thicker consistency I was after an alternative that lasted longer and cost less.

I was concerned this would block my skin, but even though it isn't oil free, I still find it perfect.

I apply this in 4 stripes across my face and then blend with a foundation brush because it is very 'warm' and 'wet' feeling and I don't like to wipe it all away.

I then blend with a moisturiser as the colour ranges aren't that great.

I am pale English skinned and I get noveau beige, I believe. I buy it from ebay for about £3!

A whole stick last months upon months.

If you have scarring, or want something to look good in for photos (wedding/prom) I would recommend this.

This product does wonders for me. It's absolutely amazing and feel great on my skin.

Coverage;
It's so light and the smell of it is such a delight (it smells like milk and honey!) I have really bad dark circles which can be so difficult to cover, but honestly, all I need to do is swipe my finger once on the stick and my circles are disappeared!

Texture;
The texture of the product is quite oily which make it glide better on my skin. It's not liquidy at all and not stiff like most concealers. Because the texture is so light, yet the coverage is full, the product can last years for me! (Seriously I've had mine for nearly 2 years now and I apply it everyday to my skin!)

So do I recommend it? Absolutely! It's fabulous and a must have!

Beware! I am usually a fair to nude in foundation- with the Max Factor Pan Stick I was shade olive! This slight shade mishap aside, though, I love this foundation. It's thick, creamy, gives great coverage, and is easy to apply and carry on the go. Ideal for people who are looking for a bit more heavy duty foundation.
An extra tip from me would be to run some powder over the top after your application- otherwise it will get a bit shiny and oily.

UPDATE: MAY 2013
Adding useful TIPS Ive discovered! After rotatting/trying manyy other foundations over the yr I still enjoy using this. I forgot to mention my shade last time & I apologize to those that I didn't notice to email back. I wear #125 True Beige. I find myself using this more as a concealer or spot foundation when my skin is doing good. I cant manage to wear this full face because it transfers easily & can look too grey and light. I've found it can even get cakey if you apply severallll layers (Im talking 3+; although this isn't usually required because its pretty buildable coverage). Im adding tips n tricks Ive learned over time. Hope these help!

1. If your having an excessive issue I recommend using a liquid concealer first underneath anyways (as MF might wear off quicker) then topping with this to blend out for natural look.
2. I like to use gossmakeup artist's tip on blotting with a thin separated sheet of facial tissue paper (you basically take a single sheet n pull apart in to two equal halves) in between layers of MF on problem areas.
3. I use a thing concealer brush (mines Essence of beauty) to spot apply, it covers moles better than my KatvonD tattoo concealer with less product needed. If your using fingers, just dip cotton ball in alcohol and wipe off top every week or so.
4. I use a highlighting brush (mines by Real techniques) to set the concealed areas with powder (I don't wear powder full face, my skin is too dry. If you do, then this is unnecessary)
5.If I stop using it for weeks at a time (skin breaking out & I need full coverage full face) I simply shave off a thinn layer with a sterile butter knife to keep things hygenic. Its never caused any breakouts for me.
6. People asked about size: its smaller in height than iphone (like 3/4 tall) and the circumference of the cylinder tube is exactly that of a quarter. Product inside is HALF the height of tube. (probably 3/4 of the top cover of the tube). Retracts easily, never smashes inside or melt issues with heat.

ORIGINAL: JUN 2012: I bought this for $9 on drugstore.com after skimming through over 500 five star reviews of this creme foundation on the site. This is now the foundation I carry in my makeup bag daily wherever I go. Its great for touchups & the slim twist up tube conveniently fits in any size bag/clutch.

CONSISTENCY-
Extremelyy thin (like the balm timebalm concealer or nyx concealer in a jar) so you won't get the caked on feel ever and blends in beautifully. Its also very emollient so leaves dry skin moist to the touch.
A damp sponge gives a sheer look, while a traditional foundation brush more coverage. Personally, I prefer my fingers best.

COVERAGE-
Don't be fooled by its thin texture because its veryy opaque & thus can conceal redness/freckles/blackheads/scars very well.

FINISH-
Silky matte. Looks very much like a second skin (chanel vita lumiere)

WEAR-
The only cons-its longevity especially on oily skin or in humid climates, it seems to glide through out the day & can transfer on phones/clothes/hair easily. I carry my skindinavia setting spray in a travel size spray bottle & keep these issues at bay then.

COLOR-
This must be the closest match I have found to my skintone-NC25. It has neutral undertones, wish it was more yellow!

In terms of coverage, this foundation has the best coverage I have ever seen in a foundation. I am a musician and I regularly perform under bright lights. I need a full coverage foundation for the stage and this is definitely the one. I have several small blemishes around my jaw line which tend to be quite red when they do pop up and Pan Stik certainly covers them wonderfully. As far as consistency goes, I am happy with the consistency, but because it is quite thick it tends to look a little cakey if it is not applied properly. It keeps caking up around the sides of my nose and on my forehead, but I think that my prime & moisturising routine may be the cause of this in conjunction with the foundation. I will do an update in several weeks regarding the cake issue because I am determined to move past it. The packaging is great - it is a very compact little stick and it is easy to chuck into your handbag without a care. I need to work out a way around the caking issue, and then I will do an update, but so far so good and I would recommend this product. I have uploaded a picture too. Hope this review helps, beautyqueens! x
Update: SarahJade17 above me, has stated that the shades are lighter than normal. She's absolutely correct, and this is why my Pan-Stik is looking cakey on my skin. It is way too light. It highlights my dry patches and pores, but this is due to colour and not the foundation. Going to get it 2 shades darker and see how it goes, then I will update again. Like I said, I believe this is great foundation so I am giving it all chances
